Card for 2nd June Show by Dean - 6/10/09 Interesting card. Seems to have a BattlARTS vs. Outsider theme to it, culminating in the main event which features BattlARTS top two contracted workers against the un-official top two freelancers. The under-card is filled out with BattlARTS students against outsiders. BattlARTS, 6/27/09 Kitasenju Theater 1010 1. August Card by Dean - 8/1/09 With nothing going on in BattlARTS in the month of July, this is the first update for a long time, so I will try to update the BattlARTS fans on what is going on in the world of Bati-Bati. The only official BattlARTS championship ever, the BattlARTS Punishment World Title, has been the focal point of the promotion since April. Yuki Ishikawa won the tournament to crown the champion, defeating his prized student Munenori Sawa and eternal rival Daisuke Ikeda on his way to victory. His first defense was a heated match against Mitsuya Nagai, a DRADITION representative who has made BattlARTS his second home. His second defense was against Munenori Sawa in a rematch from their tournament, in which Sawa impressed many but came up short once again. Taking a break from title defenses, a big tag match took place on the last event of June, in which Daisuke Ikeda knocked out Ishikawa, and immediately challenged for the title. Ishikawa accepted, and after a month of preparation, the two are ready to face off once again. It should be noted that Ikeda has beaten Ishikawa in FU-TEN this year, while Ishikawa has defeated Ikeda in BattlARTS...will this trend continue? BattlARTS, 8/14/09 Kitasenju Theater 1010 1.
