W.A.S. Power Rankings ~ Week 8

Another week of football in the books and another week of the W.A.S. beating the AP poll. News and Notes - Even though they weren't in the AP poll till this week, the TCU Horned Frogs jumped three spots in the rankings after beating down BYU and have taken over the 3rd overall spot in the ranking. - The big surprise of the week for my rankings has to be Ohio St. jumping up 14 places to be considered the 6th best team in the nation, one spot over the undefeated Penn St. Nittany Lions. To top it all off, OSU is only ahead of PSU by .9 points. - In the same token, Georgia jumps one spot over Alabama. Looks like barely squeaking by an inferior team doesn't cut it in the W.A.S. - And after totally losing it in the 2nd half against Penn St., Michigan joins Washington and Washington St. as BCS conference teams in the bottom 10. If that wasn't good enough, they failed to cover a 24 point spread after leading at the half. - In the somewhat unexpected, Air Force is in the top 25, coming in at 22. They are the 4th team in the Mountain West in the top 25 thanks to a great turnover margin and a solid winning percentage (as well as not tanking in the over categories). W.A.S.
