mike b
OK i was just wondering do any of you use angles that run for less then 3 minutes long as i believe that is the min amount of time for an angle to have an effect on your cards rating. As for me i only use them if they can advance a storyline or once in awhile to use up time on my card.
Liamo
I use short angles all the time. I haven't seen any effect on cards that I use them in personally, but I have heard about this before. The way I see it, if you're running a Sports Entertainment television show, you want to spread your angles throughout the show, the roster and your storylines and - unless its a big, storyline defining angle - you'll want them to be quite short to fit more in. Thats just my opinion tho.
wilts
I regularly use them, either to advance a storyline, use up spare time or just make sure that guys are being used who may otherwise not be. Think about it, Ron Simmons' DAMN segments didn't make or break the card, and rarely lasted longer than 3 minutes, but they kept him and other guys on the screen who otherwise would not have been. Dragonmack
Angles have to be 6 min or longer to affect ratings or impact momentum. Shorter angles are just ways to advance storylines or use people without needing to put them in matches, and who you don't want to affect overall show rating. How many RAW shows was he the highlight of last year? Most of them.

You've been misinformed mike b. It should also be noted that angles need to be six minutes for workers to gain any stats in Entertainment skills (and I think in face/heel/gimmick performance). I rarely use angles less than six minutes, unless I know the angle will bomb on a show I can't afford it (or with angles based on overness using two people who aren't very over.) EdgeHeaD
I wouldn't say Simmons was the highlight of Raw, but even though he said the word every show, I never got bored of it because the people he was in angles with just had great reactions to it. But I only use a 6 minute+ segment if I KNOW it'll get a good rating, so basically I use the charismatic/popular workers etc.

Sometimes he'd be surprised, sometimes shocked, sometimes curious, sometimes angry. And then there was The Dating Game segment. He brought the funny there. If oyu're usually doing D+/C- matches, then a D- angle isn't going to hurt much, and doing a number of them over time could get your guys's stats up to the point where they can put on C- angles... which'll only help. The Shape
Honestly I think it's silly that shorter things can't "lift the crowd" because that's often their only purpose...

Malioc
Shape is right. Plus, even one minute is enough to give a good interview. It's just not a "great" one, nor is it a memorable segment.

Vince was talking about who the new gm would be and then they showed Booker T doing an interview and then bischoff walks by and Book's all like "Tell me I did not just see that!"
