Sons of Kohral
I think this could be really fun to play. In this heavily kayfabed universe, the actors aren't themselves, they're the characters that we, in our universe, know them as. I have a couple of promotions made. Obviously this is a work in progress and also obviously any feedback, ideas or help is appreciated. Promotions: Real Dramatic Wrestling: Formed in 1991, Real Dramatic Wrestling focuses on strong storylines and glamorous production values. they are looked down upon by most "smart" wrestling fans, but they are still looked up to by many in the industry for the rise they made from a small promotion to a national one. Their major stars include Eric Foreman (House), Jim Halpert (The Office) and Vinny Chase (Entourage). Disney Pro Wrestling: Disgustingly family friendly, Disney capitalizes on the 4-13 demographic and does it effectively. Using a mix of good looking young talent, non-Disney stars and inter gender matches (to show that girls are just as good as boys) DPW has managed to hit national. Their major stars include Hannah Montana, Troy Bolton (High School Musical) and Harry Potter. Hell's Asylum Wrestling: This resident hardcore promotion has become something of a cult favorite. Their rabid fan base eats up their edgy product and leaves them clamoring for more an more blood. Fueled by bizarre and complex characters, they seem to push the envelope with each show they put on, making them truly "hotter than hell". Their major stars include "The American Psycho" Patrick Bateman (American Psycho), Jason Voorhies (Jason 1-20,000) and Jason Bourne (The Bourne Movies) ARENA: ARENA is the only promotion in Japan right now and it survives as a touring stomping ground for American workers to improve and show off their skills. They're not large, but hold solid shows with their near MMA focus. ARENA is notable for holding the renowned "ARENA Challenge" every year. Their major stars include Maximus (Gladiator), Nameless (Hero) and Frank Dux (Bloodsport). This is just a sampling for now. I'm also considering a small tri-state run fed owned by the mafia (think Godfather and Sopranos) among others. I'll update with different workers and their bios for now and then give deeper updates as to how far along I am to completing the mod. If anyone wants to help or have any comments/suggestions/flames/whatever, please feel free to post. Thank you. ~SoK

crayon
I don't know if this mod will ever get completed, like so many other mods here.. but I'd actually like to see it where the actors are in the database as themselves, but they have a bunch of alter-egos, based on their more famous acting roles. Would give users a lot of options of where to take the storylines. That was the plan for my media-integrated mod.. but the odds of me ever actually getting started on it are close to nil, so why not offer up the idea to someone else I figure :)
