Both men are known for their deadly submission style fighting. Although Mir has greatly improved over the years he still has lost to some questionable opponents. Co-Feature Karo Parisyan(18-5) Vs Steve Bruno (11-3) Many Expect Karo Parisyan to walk through Steve Bruno however many do not know much about the young up and commer. He was the Spirit MC welterweight champion before comming to the UFC to compete with the best. how Bruno will fair against one of the best Welterweights in the world will be seen. Support Bout Quinton Jackson(28-7) Vs Brandon Vera(8-2) This should be a great match for the fans both fighters have proven that they belong in the UFC. Jackson comming of his loss to Forrest is looking to climb back to the top of the 205 division. Many will say Brandon Vera is out matched but he is in his prime and is not to be underestimated....expect a battle Prelim bout Johnathan Goulet(22-9) Vs Ben Saunders(5-0-2) Johnathan Goulet is on a 2 fight win streak and seems to be maturing and improving his fight game seriously. Ben Saunders has a perfect record comming into UFC 87, this is definitly going to be his toughest fight yet. Dublin Sky
Dub's UFC We had a great showing tonight 8,028 people attended tonight's event. On tonight's undercard fight we saw Manvel Gamburyan improve to 9-2 with a win over Troy Mandaloniz.... Manvel won by submission in the 3rd round at 2:21. Gray Maynard Won a very hard fought battle against Dale Hartt by UD he is now 6-0. Josh Neer destroyed Frankie Edgar in just 56 seconds in the first round to win what many thought was an upset over the UFC veteran. Nate Mohr Lost a very convincing fight but lost to Kenny Florian by UD Florian can't be to far out of a title shot now. Mac Danzig got an easy win over Shannon Guggerty in just 3:59 of the first round to improve to 19-4-1. Prelim Bout Roan Carneiro(12-6) Vs Jon Koppenhaver(5-2) Roan "Jucao" Carneiro got the win tonight over Jon Koppenhaver by UD Roan dominated the fight on both standup and ground game. it will be exciting to see if he can win against the top tier fighters of the 170 Lbs division. Prelim bout Johnathan Goulet(22-9) Vs Ben Saunders(5-0-2) Ben Saunders dropped the fight and didn't look great at all in his loss by TKO in 1:22 of the 2nd round against Johnathan Goulet. Johnathan Goulet continues to ride on his recent wave of success...he is quickly making a name for himself inside the octagon. Ben Saunders loses for the first time in his career will it make him work harder for his next fight? Support Bout Quinton Jackson(28-7) Vs Brandon Vera(8-2) Brandon Vera has pulled off what may be the biggest upset in UFC history by beating Quinton Jackson by SD This was Vera's first fight at 205 and if he continues to fight like he fought tonight we will see the Light Heavyweight title around his waist. Rampage loses his 2nd fight in a row that has to be difficult mentally on a fighter. It will be exciting to see if he can climb back up the ladder and one day fight for the title again. Co-Feature Karo Parisyan(18-5) Vs Steve Bruno (11-3) The truth behind the fight was that we picked Steve Bruno to lose to Karo Parisyan and he did lose by KO in 34 seconds in the first round. Karo Parisyan is next up for a title shot Vs whomever has the title when the time comes. Steve Bruno's future is uncertain...we may release him so he can gain more experience and in time maybe we will re-sign him. Main Event Antonio Rodrigo Noguira(31-4-1) Vs Frank Mir(11-3) (UFC Heavyweight Title Fight) This fight did not last long at all....it was not a submission battle like we had thought instead the winner won by KO in 1:21 of the 1st round and he was...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=p6o5w3y4sw5i2recmugu.jpg

Alan Belcher has had mixed success in the UFC he needs to gather more wins if he wants to ever get a chance at the Middleweight title. Prelim Bout Jeremy Horn (79-18-5) Vs Jesse Taylor (6-2) Jeremy Horn was once considered one of the best LHW's in the world...inactivity played a big role. Jesse Taylor was on the ultimate fighter and was kicked off the show due to stupidity....he now has a chance to make up for his mistakes can he do it? Prelim Bout Corey Hill (2-1) Vs Terry Etim (10-2) Corey Hill will be a threat in the Lightweight division sooner or later. Cummo is facing Brad Blackburn who also has had mixed success in the world of MMA. Winner by TKO in 29 seconds of round 3 http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=9sbu1yrtivwdye9k1foi.gif Prelim Bout Anthony Johnson (5-1) Vs Dan Hardy (19-6) Dan Hardy is a tough fighter from the U.K not much is known about Hardy here in America. He is very aggresive and has built up a good record at only 26 years of age. Anthony Johnson is 2-1 inside the octagon both of his wins are by KO. He has a similar style to Hardy I predict a very quick fight. Winner by TKO in 21 Seconds of round 1 http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=9u1f6u0cfajga2mxv0uo.gif Support Bout Rashad Evans (11-0-1) Vs Goran Reljic (8-0) Rashad Evans is a very tough fighter who has a very strong chin, Since being in the UFC he has built an impressive 7-0-1 record and has fought some credible fighters. If he can pull of a win or Reljic he will most likely get a title shot. Goran Reljic is a fierce fighter who is known mainly in Europe, he is trying to build a reputaion as the best. With a record like 8-0 comming into tonight's fight a win will move him closer to getting a shot at the belt. The Winner by SD http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=h98ooxuopu2jle412bci.gif Co Feature Matt Serra (9-6) Vs Jason Tan (5-3) Matt Serra is a UFC veteran, he has his own training camp which houses many fighters as well. Serra is 3-2 in the octagon and looking to make it 4-2 with a win over Jason Tan. Matt Serra was the UFC Welterweight champion for a little over a year, he also pulled of one of the biggest upsets in UFC history by TKOing GSP. Not much is known about the 26 year old Jason Tan, we first saw him enter the UFC at UFC 84: Ill Will vs Dong Hyun Kim. Kim Ko'ed Tan in the 3rd round and made many wonder if Tan is UFC material. The Winner by UD http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=9j8uyficvid8rl1skx3b.gif MAIN EVENT Anderson Silva (21-4) Vs Dean Lister (11-5) FOR THE UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Dean Lister knows what he is getting into and when asked if he has a chance at beating AS as in Anderson Silva he replied "I think so" with a smile. Dean Lister is known throughout the MMA community and many believe, like Brandon Vera (Lister's close friend) that if anyone can beat the spider it's Lister. What is there to say about Anderson Silva? he came to the UFC in June of 2006 and since then has taken UFC's Middleweight division by storm beating everyone he has faced....with ease. Will Dean Lister kill the spider? or will the spider devoure it's pray? Tomasz Drwal Is a ground and pound specialist who is looking to break even withing the octagon tonight. He lost his first fight in the UFC when he was TKO'ed by Thiago Silva at UFC 75. The Winner by UD http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=g5v8sdvn1vb3ykodfgzd.gif Prelim Bout Joe Lauzon (15-4) Vs Corey Hill (3-1) Corey Hll is considered the next big thing at 155, many however say he is to old to really improve any more than he is going to. Hill is 1-1 inside the octagon, his last fight at fight night 1 was his first victory inside. he won a very tough fight against Terry Etim by SD. Joe Lauzon is a young and great fighter and could in time be the UFC Lightweight champion. Being the Protege of BJ Penn has met great success and his record is testament. Lauzon who is 3-1 in the octagon is looking to get the win but it won't be easy. The Winner by submission in 3:35 of round 1 http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=exfopmok312hb3ykt28j.gif Support Bout Brock Lesner (1-1) Vs Cain Velasquez (3-0) Brock Lesner is 0-1 in the octagon, his first fight however was against UFC pro and former champion Frank Mir. Many felt that Lesner should have been matched against a less superior fighter for his debut fight. Lesner has an intimidating appearance and has a lot of potential. Cain Velasquez is an up and commer fighter who is looking to make a name for himself in the stacked heavyweight division of the UFC. With a record of 3-0 he is looking to make a name vs Lesner tonight and with a win he will be able to do that. The Winner by UD http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=rqur83hlz0e6a20n5hy7.gif Co-Feature Roger Huerta (20-1-1) Vs Keita Nakamura (14-3-2) Roger Huerta is one of the UFC's brightest young fighters and is extremely talented. Huerta who trains with Serra Jui Jitzu has built up a superb record of 20-1-1 in MMA and an impressive 6-0 inside the UFC. He is one of the top contenders of the 155 lb division and with a win tonight he just may get a shot. Keita Nakamura is a young fighter who is according to close friend caol Uno "On a mission" to win the UFC Lightweight title. He is however on a 3 fight losing streak inside the octagon and has a record of 14-3-2 in MMA. Some say that the UFC is to much for the young fighter and he should go back to fighting for smaller promotions before he continues on in the UFC. The Winner by submission in 4:40 of round 1 http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=o29qfl15gptoo0rzdqrg.gif MAIN EVENT BJ Penn (13-4-1) Vs Tyson Griffin (12-1) FOR THE UFC LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BJ Penn is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, there is some say no weakness in his fighting game. BJ Penn besides currently holding the UFC Lightweight title has also held the UFC Welterweight title. Penn currently said that if he is not challenged at lightweight than he would move up to Welterweight again. A BJ Penn, GSP rematch is rumored to be in the works and fans could see it happen sometime soon. Penn hasn't lost a fight since UFC 63, the way he has been fighting recently makes me wonder if anyone will beat him. Tyson Griffin is getting the shot of a lifetime vs BJ Penn tonight for the UFC Lightweight title. Griffin who hold a UFC record of 5-1 has often been critisized of not being able to finished off his opponents. Can he beat Penn? The Winner by UD http://uploadpics.in/viewer.php?file=tjr3au7og8sqjnop656k.gif UFC Re-Sign Joe Lauzon, Antonio Mendes, Kurt Pellegrino Steve Bruno Has been Issued a drug suspension of 1 year.
