Disco is alive and well and bad wrestling was the norm. That is until I arrived. :D Lets take a look at the top ten promotions in the world shall we. #1 BHOTWG Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods opened their doors in 1966, and by the early 1970s they had already managed to draw level with GCG, mostly thanks to company figurehead Master Kitozon's rise to national stardom. Now in a dead heat in terms of popularity with their more established rivals, they are clearly making a strong effort to become the number one promotion in Japan. With a massively talented roster of stars both young and old, they seem well prepared for the challenge. #2 GCG Golden Canvas Grappling Golden Canvas Grappling is the oldest promotion in Japan, having singlehandedly revived the industry after the "Dark Era" following the closing of GPW. After almost a decade of owning the Japanese wrestling scene GCG were finally faced with stiff competition from upstart rivals BHOTWG in 66, and since 1972 they have begun to fall behind. Whether or not GCG can reclaim their position at the top of the industry has yet to be seen, but they have a strong foundation of loyal workers to build on. #3 SWF Supreme Wrestling Federation The Supreme Wrestling Federation is the brainchild of Richard Eisen, and it is without a doubt the fastest rising promotion in North America, and also the most popular. Eisen incorporates a completely different approach in style from the other promoters: Called "made-for-TV" by Gene Plumelli, it involves angles and extended storylines that sometimes take more time than the matches themself. #4 GCG: Women's Wrestling Realizing that women's wrestling was exploding in popularity, Nakamura Miharu bought the rights to use the GCG brand name and created GCG:Women's Wrestling. The company is well known for its gifted workers and traditional presentation. By 1978, problems would arise when tension between the parent company would cause Miharu to rename her promotion Japanese Women's Wrestling(JWW), which would become the top woman's company in the world until 5SSW came along. #5 OLLIE Original Lucha LIbre en Exito Original Lucha LIbre en Exito are the only active wrestling promotion in Mexico, having formed in 1955 and quickly dominated the lucha scene until all other companies were out of business by 1965. Their roster is a who's who of Mexican stars and while controversy (and some tragedy) has followed the company, fans everywhere consider OLLIE to be synonymous with lucha libre in Mexico. #6 CWF Canadian Wrestling Federation Strangler Ed Henson created the CWF after retiring and discovering he hated shuffleboard. It is a fully old school promotion laced with tradition, and appears to be on the verge of becoming a national powerhouse in their home country of Canada. Their roster, led by several massively talented Canadian superstars who have already experienced success in the US, is capable of putting on some of the best pure wrestling matches on the planet. #7 JPWW Japan Pro-Women's Wrestling Founded by a consortium of Japanese real estate investors, Japan Pro-Women's Wrestling present a traditional product but do prefer to sign wrestlers who are a bit more attractive and entertainment based. They are also the kings of product placement as everything from the wrestler's tights to banners in the crowd to the announcer's tie are covered in commercial logos. #8 APWF American Pro Wrestling Federation Run by steel tycoon & Pittsburgh native Franco Lambert, the APWF hit a massive apex in 1972, when they were considered the best promotion in the United States, with the most talented roster. However, when Richard Eisen snagged away Mickey Starr, it forced them to hastily get the belt off of him, and they lost momentum. Since then they have been losing money but still attempting to break into new markets. APWF has recently tried to imitate rival SWF, incorporating angles & such to their product. #9 CPWC California Pro Wrestling Championship Preston Holt's CPWC is one of the more technically minded promotions in the United States, accepting wrestlers from a diverse background of styles. They are the first stop for most overseas talent, and many a luchador has moonlighted there for at least a brief time. #10 AICW American Independent Circuit Wrestling AICW, founded by Walter Crowe, is a concept based off Dale Christian's successfully promoted "King of Wrestling" tournaments which borrowed talent from the major promotions in North America and brought them together for brief tours. While AICW operates on a smaller scale and focuses on pitting younger talent against seasoned veterans, they have enjoyed some success and have given exposure to rookies who may have otherwise found difficulty getting their name out there.
I do admit my knowledge of the actual history of Cverse is limited. So this will be my interpretation.
I received my plane ticket in the mail and I got one day to pack and think about my meeting, thanks SWF. On the plane I just went over some recent wrestling news and recent results and thought to myself what could I bring to the table. I got off the plane to see a cab waiting. Couldn’t even spring a limo for me? The cab took me to SWF Headquarters. I walked into the building and clearly saw that nothing was going on, on this day. I shook hands with one of the Flame Brothers and he showed me to the office. I tried to spark a conversation with him but he didn’t budge. I walked into the office and saw Richard Eisen along with Micky Star and Rocky Streets. Micky Star: You must be Jack Avatar Me: Yes sir Micky Star: Well I’m sure you know that I am Micky Star and over there we have Rocky Streets. And also our owner Richard Eisen. Richard Eisen: Nice of you to dress up While he didn’t have to be a jerk about it, he was right. I was wearing a T Shirt and blue jeans. Me: Yeah, I’m not really a suit and tie kind of guy Micky Star: Good, I’m sick of suit and tie guys. Have a seat and lets get down to business. I sat down on the other side of Eisen, Streets, and Star. Micky Star: We read and reviewed everything and we like what we think you can bring to the table. We are going to tell you our plans and you tell us yours. Sound good? Me: Sounds good 3 Hours Later Rocky Streets: I like where this is going. Well Mr. Avatar, you start today if that is possible? I couldn’t say anything at that point. I was in complete shock. Richard Eisen: I like your ideas, just don’t screw it up. Got it? Micky Star: I think he’s got it Richard.

I decided to take a look at our roster. SWF World Heavyweight= Micky Star SWF United States Champion=Rick Rumble SWF Word Tag Champions=The Blazn Flamed And our workers include. Ace McQueen/ Upper Midcard/ Heel/ Bad Ass Ace McQueen is a powerful Brawler/Mat Specialist who has had great feuds with his current tag team partner Black Jack and Crippler Ray Kingman in the past, even being slated to be CPWC Champion before SWF made him an offer... he couldn't refuse. A 2-Time former tag team champ, McQueen seems content to stay in the tag team division for the remainder of his career. Antonio Moretti/ Main Event/ Face/ Old School Face "The Italian Stallion" Antonio Moretti remains one of the most popular wrestlers in the world, despite never having 1 World Title reign to his name. He looks to be near retirement, and his feud with the Samoan Monster has entered its final chapter after Moretti was betrayed by his rival in a main event tag team match against Team Doom. There have been grumblings that this feud should include the SWF World Title. Ares Aegaleus/ Main Event/ Heel/ Egomaniac "The Greek God" Ares Aegaleus is one of the most recognizable wrestlers in the world today. Standing 6'8 and weighing 375 lbs., Aegaleus is truly a sight to behold, even at 46. His feud with Antonio Moretti dates back to the mid 50's and helped build modern wrestling. Although both men thrice won the "King of Wrestling" Tournament held by Dale Christian from 1959-1971, they never stayed in one territory long enough to be world champions. The 2 are closing the books on their feud in SWF. Barney LaRusso/ Upper Midcard/ Face/ Blue Collar Barney LaRusso is an SWF Mainstay whose mat-based style clashes with much of the roster. However, he is a well respected worker, and the fact remains that given the right opponent he could have excellent matches. His Pasta Noodle Trap finisher is well liked: He Irish whips the opponent, then throws a handful of cooked pasta onto the mat. The opponent slips on the pasta and crashes hard to the canvas, often resulting in a pinfall. Baron Von Rambis/ Main Event/ Heel/ Comrade Baron Von Rambis is a Russian monster who has become the #1 heel in SWF. He frequently teams with Hagar Erikson as Team Doom, and when he isn't doing that, he is challenging Micky Starr for the SWF Heavyweight Title. He has one possible downside: he loves vodka, and sometimes even drinks before matches, causing his performances to be sometimes awful. Beautiful Babette/ Face/ Manager/ Diva Babette Bridges is an absolutely stunning young manager from Connecticut, who is the SWF's original Diva. She managed the Blazin' Flames for a brief time, but now works as the escort of Rick Rumble, her current squeeze. In an ironic twist, her former boyfriend Robbie Gordon is now feuding with Rumble in a wild love triangle feud. Bill Dennison/ Road Agent Bill Dennison is a former wrestler who retired in 1973 and now works as a Road Agent for SWF Bill Popinowski/ Opener/ Heel/ Power and Paint "Polish Power" Bill Popinowski is a freakishly strong guy, but he is also pretty terrible as a worker. He is part of the All-Star Team stable, and is even getting a singles push despite his all too often in-ring posedown sessions. Black Jack/ Upper Midcard/ Heel/ Biker "Black" Jack Jennings is part of the SWF Tag Team Deadly Gamble. An interesting bit of trivia is that he and partner Ace McQueen had a blood feud in CPWC that got them noticed by Richard Eisen and Rocky Streets. They were the first SWF Tag Team Champions and have held the title a separate occasion before losing them to the Blazin' Flames. Jack is a brawler, but he has surprising all around talent for a 6'6, 280 pound man. Bob Johnson/ Announcer/ Face Bob Johnson is a good American announcer. Brutus the Enforcer/ Midcard/ Heel/ Enforcer "Enforcer" Brutus McBride is a talented brawler from North Dakota. His tag team with Mitch Haggans, the American Badasses, is a good one. However, when McBride wrestles solo he needs to be carried because his ring psychology is mediocre. In SWF he is part of the All-Star Team stable managed by Coach Dick Pangrazzio, and is the sometimes tag team partner of Bill Popinowski as "Full Force". McBride is understandably disenchanted with this, and has refused to stop taking indy bookings. Burt Selleck/ Midcard/ Face/ 70’s guy Burt Selleck is a popular brawler who has an extremely large female fan base thanks to his pornstar-caliber mustache. Although he is a freelancer, he stays around his home in Toledo, Ohio. A relatively new signing to SWF, he has already raised some eyebrows by refusing to terminate his employment with APWF. Chaim Silverman/ Announcer Chaim Silverman was one of pro wrestling's first great managers, who was highly in demand through the sixties and seventies. The Iranian immigrant is known as "The Brain", and is famous for keeping his identity hidden with glasses, a hat and his trademark long beard. His fast-paced style of speech and sharp mind has influenced most of the managers who followed him. He switched to become a colour commentator recently, and is considered the best in North America. Cherokee Hawk/ Lower Midcard/ Face/ Native American Cherokee Hawk is a young Native American worker who is best known for his tag team Call of the Wild with the Shaman in SWF. Hawk is a good high flier, but it's become clear that he doesn't have "it", as despite a strong push in 1974 the crowd never fully bought into Call of the Wild. Coach Dick Pangrazzio/ Manager/ Heel Coach Dick Pangrazzio is a former gym teacher who is now a top manager in the SWF. His sports-themed stable, The All-Star Team, has been an instant hit. Pangrazzio is known for interrupting opponents' interviews with a booming "HEY!", then proceeding to ramble on about his client. He is also known for his unusual attire of gold chains, a whistle, a disco shirt, windpants, and cowboy boots, giving the impression that he dresses in the dark. Crazy Eyes McGrew/ Opener/ Heel/ Maniac Roland "Crazy Eyes" McGrew is a well known brawler. His nickname is derived from the sometimes bizarre facial expressions he uses in the ring. He is a freelance worker, who has made tours of Japan in the past. Dixie Diamnond/ Authority Figure Dixie Diamond is a talented female worker, who is lucky enough to be friends with Heidi Brooks. She is also extremely sexy, which can be nothing but good for her career. Dusty Streets/ Lower Midcard/ Face/ Blue Chipper Dusty Streets is the son of Rocky Streets, SWF's EX Head Booker. He is currently getting a good push because of this although he is a good worker anyway. Flying Ryan O’Brien/ Enhancement/ Face/ Under Dog Flyin' Ryan is the SWF's prize enhancement talent- he bumps like a true champ. Although he is also a talented flier, Ryan is seemingly stuck in his position of elevating newcomers. Frank Rock/ Midcard/ Heel/ Dual Sport Retiring after a 7-year pro football career with the Dallas Deacons, Frank Rock needed a way to earn a living. After 2 months of job searching he narrowed the choices down to used car salesman or professional wrestler. He (obviously) chose pro wrestler and was immediately signed by SWF. He recently made his debut as a no-nonsense heel, joining the All-Star Team stable. Hagar Erickson/ Main Event/ Heel/ Savage Upon first look, one would assume Hagar Erikson is just another SWF Musclehead brawler. However, the Canadian powerhouse has taken great pains to avoid that stereotype, focusing on using mat skills and chain wrestling to come up with some very innovative moves. Iron Michael Milligan/ Midcard/ Heel/ Street Fighter "Iron" Michael Milligan is primarily known for his work in the New England area, where he is most popular. He recently turned heel in SWF and joined the All-Star Team stable, where he teams with Frank Rock as the Heavy Hitters. Jack Avatar/ Midcard My character. I will wrestle but do not plan on putting a title on me. I will leave this to our other workers Joey Flame/ Midcard/ Face/ Show Stealer 22 year old Joey Flame is perhaps the SWF's brightest prospect, comprising the Blazin' Flames tag team with his brother Teddy. Although both are high energy workers, Joey is particularly exciting- often the recipient of a Hot Tag (The term was coined in honor of the flames), Joey typically cleans house with an array of high flying moves that leaves the crowd in awe. Kevin Rogan/ Road Agent Kevin Rogan is a former wrestler who retired in 1971 and now works as a Road Agent for SWF. Micky Starr/ Main Event/Face/ Patriot "Mighty" Micky Starr is probably the most popular wrestler in the United States today. His 3 year run as SWF Champion has a lot to do with that, and it is showing no signs of stopping soon. Powerhouse Patterson/ Main Event/ Face/ Badd Ass Andre "Powerhouse" Patterson is an SWF Original, supposedly taking part in the original tournament (The tournament never happened, the title was actually just awarded to Starr) for the title but being upset by Robbie Gordon in the semifinals. Patterson is just returning from an arm injury sustained in the gym, but is looking to return to his former form. RJ Danzig/ Upper Midcard/ Heel/ Franchise Player R.J. Danzig is a star from the 60's who firmly believes in the theory of freelancing. He is also a trainer, but his mean-spirited and totalitarian attitude have caused most of his students to hate him, and at least two have gone out of their way to injure him in matches. Richard Eisen/ The Owner Richard Eisen is famously the promoter of the Supreme Wrestling Federation, which has had great success in the 3 years it has been open so far. Eisen is by far the youngest promotion owner in the wrestling industry and appears to have a great future in business, even if his entertainment-driven approach to pro wrestling fails. Rick Rumble/ Upper Midcard/ Face/ Blue Collar Rick Rumble is a well-liked worker who languished in the territories, probably because he was too nice and allowed himself to be lost in the shuffle. However, he has done well for himself in SWF, where he has become one of Richard Eisen's favorite workers. Rocky Streets/ Occasinal Wrestler/ Face/ Old School Face Rocky Streets is a decent technician who is nearing the end of his active wrestling career. Rocky was the 2nd owner of TWA, before Richard Eisen made him a lucrative offer to help him get SWF off the ground. After accepting the position of Head Booker, he was going to close TWA before the Lone Star Stampeder made him an extra generous offer. Sam Sparrow / Referee Sam Sparrow is a very good referee from Vermont. Sensei Iketani/ Opener/ Heel/ Martial Artists Iketani Nayashi is a Japanese worker who plays the gimmick of a Karate Champion for the All Star Team in SWF. This is in direct contrast with his more high flying style, but he has changed his primary finisher to a devastating roundhouse kick in an attempt to appear more legitimate. Sid Streets/ Lower Midcard/ Face/ Blue Chipper Sid Streets is the youngest son of Dusty Streets, the EX head booker of SWF. Sid the Kid, as he is called, is thought of as a good prospect and an unusually well-rounded youngster. Sid inherited his father's naturally grey hair, but not his business sense, as he is wanted in New Mexico for failing to appear in court after pumping $8 worth of gasoline and driving off. He trained with R.J. Danzig, and not surprisingly, hates his guts. Teddy Flame/ Midcard/ Face/ Fun Baby Face Teddy Flame is best known as 1/2 of the SWF's "Hottest" Tag Team, the Blazin' Flames. Along with brother Joey, the high-energy duo has captured the SWF Tag Team title. Teddy is known for his quick chain wrestling and excellent selling, and could be a valuable asset beyond the life of the tag team. The Masked Patriot/ Midcard/ Face/ Patriot The Masked Patriot, despite his generic patriotic gimmick, has never been out of a job and is thought of as a good worker. He just recently joined SWF and the simplicity of his gimmick has actually made him an instant hit. The Shaman/ Lower Midcard/ Face/ Native American The Shaman is an old school Technician who can also brawl to a high standard. He is half of the SWF tag team Call of the Wild. While is good on the mic, he has never shown the charisma necessary to be a top star, and a nagging addiction to painkillers has started to bring his workrate down. Walleye Conklin/ Midcard/ Face/ Tradistialalsist The Quintessential Freelancer Walleye Conklin has, according to himself, wrestled in all 7 continents, including wrestling a Polar Bear in Antartica. He is highly respected and very talented, but he is beginning to break down physically. Womanizer Robbie Gordon/ Midcard/ Heel/ Lounge Lizard One of the few wrestlers who has been with SWF since its inception in 1972, "Womanizer" Robbie Gordon had been blacklisted from the indies for taking his lewd, crude, character to the extreme. His fate looks to be the same in SWF after he did an impromptu striptease during a February 1975 show and is now being sent far down the card. Sadly, he may just be about 20 years ahead of his time, as he is a world class athlete & brawler. Tag Teams Blazin' Flames= Joey and Teddy Flame Call of the Wild= Cherokee Hawk and The Shaman Deadly Gamble= Ace McQueen and Black Jack Heavy Hitters= Frank Rock and Iron Michael Milligans Rocky & Dusty Streets Streets of Rage= Dusty and Sid Streets Team Doom= Hagar Erickson and Baron Von Rambis Stables The AllStar Team= Coach Dick Pangrazzio, Bill Popinowski, Brutus the Enforcer, Frank Rock, Iron Michael Milligan, and Sensei Iketani.

Good luck with this SWF incarnation! I had a lot of fun running them with this mod with the last version of the game. If it's anything like it with TEW08, my only advice is to overuse your main eventers and see your overall grades go through the roof !

Notes from before the show. So here I was, backstage at my first show. I was nervous beyond imagination. I basically just sat there and watched everyone pass me by until Micky came up to me. Mickey Star: How you feeling kid? Me: Nervous, I haven’t said a word to anyone. Mickey Star: Well come on, let me introduce you to the gang. Before we got anywhere, Rocky Streets came running up to us in a panic. Rocky Streets: Micky, have you seen Larussa? Mickey Star: I can’t say that I have. Rocky Streets: I’m about sick of him. He’s always late. If I could fire him, he would be gone in a heartbeat. After that, Rocky stormed off. Me: Why isn’t he gone? Micky Star: He’s loyal to Eisen. Me: That’s it? Micky Star: More or less. There was a time when we were in financial trouble, He worked out a deal between him and Eisen. Nobody knows the full extent of the story and no one wants to come clean. He will no doubt get a lecture for this but he won’t be fired. Now come on, let me introduce you to the guys We walked around until we hit the locker room. We walked in and Micky cleared his throat getting everyone’s attention Micky Star: Listen up. This here is Jack Avatar. Tonight, he’s the one that will determine if you Main Eventing or if your gonna set the ring up. So start kissing his ass. Nobody seemed to care as they all went back to whatever they were doing. Micky wouldn’t give up though. We walked over to where Powerhouse Patterson was and Star introduced me. Micky Star: Jack meet Andre. Andre: Hey man, what’s up? Me: Wow, it’s a pleasure to meet you Mr. Patterson Andre: Yeah whatever. Listen up, I came to SWF to be the World Heavyweight Champion and right now I’m on a roll. I didn’t want some punk kid like you coming in and screwing up my push, understand me? Micky Star: Andre, just hold on a second. Andre: No Star, you hold on. I was fine with how things were around here. Now you bring in some retard who creams his jeans when you land your little Star Treatement. It’s pathetic to be honest with you. And….hell, I’m just kidding with you. Me: Oh man, that was a good one. You really ha me going there. Andre: Yeah. But listen, don’t let anyone talk down to you around here. You run the show now. You control their fate. If they mouth off to you, job them to Cherokee Hawk or something. Cherokee Hawk: I heard that meathead. Andre: Shut up boy or I’ll tie you up with my jock strap again like I did last month. Everone chuckles.

A few days after the show I am at SWF Headquarters planning our next moves. Richard Eisen: Avatar, what in the hell are you thinking? Me: About what Mr. Eisen? Richard Eisen: Don’t play dumb with me kid. This idea of yours, of traveling around like your planning, it’s not going to work and when it doesn’t work, I’ll be the first to laugh right in your face. Me: So that’s how our relationship is going to be? Richard Eisen: Relationship? I didn’t want you here in the first place. I should have never listened to Star in the first place. Relationship, this isn’t a relationship it’s more like a one night stand. Everyone knows that I run the show around here, you’re just here because Starr wasn’t thinking straight one day. Luckily for me, back up was just around the corner. Micky Star: Richard, you giving the kid a hard time? Richard Eisen: Did you hear his bright idea? Micky Star: Yeah and personally, I like it. Richard Eisen: Well of course you like it, it benefits you. Micky Star: And the company. Richard Eisen: Whatever. Listen Avatar, you stay out of my way and everything will be just fine got it? ME: You’re the boss Richard Eisen: And don’t you forget it. How much money did we lose the other night? Me: None, we made $68,000. Richard Eisen: That before or after the trucking companies hit me with their bill? Me: After. Mr. Eisen, you talk about being a world leader in this market. Well you gonna burn the audience out here in New England if all your gonna do is New England shows. But your show is being showed all across the nation. Your fan base in California isn’t gonna drive all the way out here and spend his cash. But he might be persuaded to drive to Los Vegas if he knows in advance we are coming. We then get hot crowds clamoring for us to show up and spend their hard earned cash to see us. Micky Star: See it’s a win/win situation. Some of the boys ain't happy driving around coast to coast. But it finds out who wants to be here and who don’t. The ones that want to stay here get national recognition. And sorry Richard, but potentially higher salaries. Richard Eisen: Like hell I’ll pay more. I still think this gonna blow up in our faces. But if Avatar here continues to produce 68,000 nights I might go along for the ride.

Richard Eisen: $47,000, freaking 47,000 in the hole. I haven’t lost money in this company in 2 years. You need to give me a really good reason why I shouldn’t fire your ass right now. Me: Travel expenses. No special event income. 47 thousand for increased popularity. Eisen we are selling out every where we are going. And we a leave with a good impression on why they should return in the future. I have a plan which should… Richard Eisen: Plans, all I hear is plans. I want action. Wait a minute, what do you mean sell out. Me: We have sold out every 5,000 man arena we have been at. Minus the 150,000 thousand costs of travel expenses we would have made 103,000. But lets not cry over spilled milk. 47 thousand is a drop in the bucket compared to the good ratings we are getting. Besides that I have a plan to hold what should be the one thing that will pull in a lot of extra income. In a couple of weeks we will hold a special event. A home coming shall we say. SWF Supreme Warfare. Richard Eisen: This had better be good. I’m listening. Me: This event we will end a few of our storylines we have in place. And the way I figure is that by the time we get back to our home area the crowd will be hot and heavy waiting for our return, an instead of 5,000 man arena. We could be looking at 10,000 or more. Dusty Streets: It makes a lot of sense if you think about it Richard. I have one more thing to add. The backstage area is a lot less chaotic. People who haven’t gotten along with one another are at least being civil to one another. Micky Starr: I can vouch for that myself. Rambis and I don’t see eye to eye on much anything. But at least we aint sniping at one another backstage. Or at least I’m not. There is a awkward silence in the room. You could almost see the wheels in Eisen’s head start to turn as he is planning his next move. Richard Eisen: All right, Jack I’ll give alittle leeway. Very little leeway.

Well my good man, you are indeed one of the nicest blokes to grace this forum, so it's fair to say you'll always have a reader and supporter in me. You know, I kinda don't know much about the C-Verse origins, and I honestly believe the C-Verse is open to massive interpretation parameters so I say keep to your beliefs and tell us how it all evolved. My good man, I can't wait to see more.
