Anybody watching, I'm heading over to party with some friends and puttin my money on lesnar tonight
I wish. I should have taken a vacation day and went to the bar with my friends tonight to watch it.

I'll be watching for sure, in case anyone wants to make predictions head to the prediction thread, still about 15 minutes before stop taking predictions. Lesnar d. Couture - 3rd Round, TKO is what I have. Won't be surprised either way, had Brock in the 2nd, but decided to give Randy one more round before the ref stops the action.

Could honestly see the Lesnar-Couture fight going in any direction at all. I'm thinking either a decision or a late round stoppage for Couture. I'm guessing that experience and game-plan will make the difference as Couture will frustrate Lesnar and keep him from working the fight as he wants it.

People keep doubting Brock. They talk about how this fighter and that fighter have beaten big men before. But Brock isn't just any big man. He dominated Heath, he dominated Couture. This fight was awesome. I was never interested in UFC before Brock got involved, but I'm becoming more and more of a fan.

Brock was getting gassed, but Randy still had his wind. I'm glad Brock won, and was cheering him in the fight, but I dont think that the ran away with this fight... I still worry for his next fight. Even though he is now the world champ, he still has a lot of learning to do. He can only get better from here, that's scary!

Couture fought a good fight. And, up until the knockout, I was thinking it could still go either way. So thanks for raining on my fun :p

If Brock hadn't caught Randy, he would have been in serious trouble. He was gassing pretty badly, I think he put on too much weight between the weigh-ins and the fight so he could have enough strength to finish Couture quickly. Not taking anything away from Lesnar, he looked good and took some punishment, if he gets past the winner of Mir/Nog, I can see him being HW champion for a long time. I'm still looking out for a fight between Brock and one of my favorite fighters, Gabriel Gonzaga, I think that out of all the HW's Brock and Gonzaga are the two who have the most potential to reign over the division for a long time. That is if they can get past Nogueira or Mir. What sets Gonzaga apart for me is the fact that he has so much power and such a good ground game, he's got some scary potential. The only guy with even scarier potential is Brock Lesnar, I mean did you see when Randy put him against the fence? It was like watching a super-heavyweight fighting a middleweight, Lesnar is just massive! Anyways, I feel sorry for all of the people who didn't watch this show, it was the best UFC I've seen in a pretty long time, all but one fight went to the decision which is always good.
Nice win for Lesnar. Decisive way to finish the fight. Just happy it didn't go the route of a lay n' pray decision. Couture looked pretty decent, all things considered.
Yeah, I was scared if it went too much longer and Randy got in some more shots on the eye, then they'd stop it for something like that. Lesnar is getting better every fight. He shouldn't have got this fight for the title, but he did... So now he goes on to fight one of two guys that are going to be VERY dangerous for him. Cant wait to see how much he improves for his next fight against Noggie or Mir. Oh yeah, go buy your Brock Lesnar official Death Clutch T shirts exclusively at your local Spencers!
edit: oh and sorry for ruining the fun Scorpion.
It's all good. I admit, I've always been a Lesnar mark. I still think the Superplex he gave Big Show was one of the coolest moments in wrestling. I was sad to see him leave wrestling, but glad he's doing well in MMA.
I was never interested in UFC before Brock got involved, but I'm becoming more and more of a fan.
I'll second to that. I've never watched MMA, UFC before Lesnar came in. And nowadays I watch other fighters aswell and have become a fan. One thing I like the most in MMA is that you can never know the winner  Loved the Couture vs. Lesnar. I mean yeah, it wasn't the best that I've seen, but it had that big match feeling in it. I was so glad that Lesnar won.

That was a great show. I just finished watching my recording of it and I can say that UFC 91 is the best UFC I've seen so far. I think it's great Lesnar but I think Nog will sub Mir and then sub Lesnar as he is just on another level. The crazy thing is though Brock i Heavyweight champ after only 4 fights. That's just insane for such an inexperianced fighter to be on the top of the pile that quick.

I had £10 on Couture so i was a bit disappointed when Lesnar won, my brother who believed that Lesnar would win easy before the fight reckons Couture could win a rematch but i disagree Lesnar looked scary strong and everytime he landed a shot i thought Couture was done. Generally I'm a Lesnar fan and I think he could go on and dominate the division although Nogeira aint no mug. A few thoughts i had that no ones mentioned yet, ok dream world here but with that victory it now means that Lesnar would be took back by WWE at any point now despite previous dislike. In my opinion anyway as he is clearly a legitimate world champion. Couture, where does he go now? Last night the reality of him fighting heavyweight came to the forefront, I love the guy and think hes great but hes a light heavyweight and as much as hes an instant draw that division is already absolutely packed.

I knew I should have kept the second round prediction... gah! Unlike Goldy/Rogan and others that listen to them, I didn't see Brock as gassed at any point. He seemed calm, cool, and collected... just biding his time. Taking a deep breath doesn't mean you are gassed. However, didn't matter as he stopped him in the second, lol. Florian dominating Stevenson in that fashion was great and surprising. Hazelett had a brilliant armbar, and Maia's submission put him on the shortlist for TUF Coach against Bisping. And a note to whoever was talking about "streams" and posting YouTube... that's illegal and has no place on the boards.

Are the figures I'm reading correct? A lil over 14,500 fans and a gate of $4.8 million? That's like $330 a ticket on average! I mean I like UFC but you'd never catch me paying anywhere near that much to go watch it live.

Personally speaking although i am a Couture fan, i am happy to see someone else be champ at this point. Couture is not getting any younger and at most would give us one or two more matches. I am also happy to see Lesnar getting into MMA and doing so well so quickly. However, i think it was somewhat unfair he got such an early shot at the most prestigious title in the world after just 4 matches. I know he has credentials and such, plus he already is really popular from WWE and his stint in wrestling, but most people need to work their way up. That said the Heavyweight division is somewhat bare in my opinion, there is no clear cut contender besides Nog and everyone in the world knows that he is nothing compared to Fedor. After Fedor demolished Sylvia in 30 seconds it has pretty much made him the most wanted man every in MMA. I think if UFC could get him, he would be holding onto the title for quite some time. I wish Lesnar good luck though, the ability is there, he is getting better real fast and if he can improve his conditioning and add a more allround game i think he has a future.

How about the 18 other fighters who got title shots within 4 matches?

Those arenas inside the casino/hotel's are made for these types of events. Ticket prices also depend on the city they are hosting in... LA, Vegas, NYC will be more expensive than Midwest states just because of the economic landscape. And if I had the disposable income, I'd definitely pay a couple grand to watch fights like St. Pierre vs. Penn live from the floor. Iv'e been to the UFC live, and there is NOTHING like it.
I respect that you still think the Heavyweight title is still the most prestigious title in the world. While i agree that it SHOULD be; I cannot agree that it IS. I think that the Light Heavyweight (Griffin vs. Evans at UFC: 92), Middle (Silva), and Welterweight (GSP vs. BJ Penn at UFC: 94) titles are more prestigious, just based on competition. I do think that Brock Lesnar can restore the prestige.
