There will be some slight changes, such as Mark Munoz being Steve Cantwell's opponent instead of Razak Al-Hussan due to him not being in the game. Predictions are of course welcome, who knows, maybe there will be a prize for the winners...

Fans boo'd the finish and were clearly unhappy with the stoppage. - Wanderlei Silva completed the hat trick, defeating Quinton Jackson for the third time in his career after defeating him twice in PRIDE. The fighters split the first two rounds before Silva caught Jackson with a right hook. - Yushin Okami lost in what many thought to be a tune-up bout in preparation for a fight with Anderson Silva. All three judges scored the fight 30-26 in favor of Dean Lister in a stinker. This was Lister's third straight win. - Cheick Kongo, while victorious, looked very tentative against UFC-neophyte Mustapha al Turk taking home a unanimous decision win. - TUF 7 runner-up CB Dollaway was on his way towards winning the first two rounds against Mike Massenzio before getting caught with an uppercut, Dollaway couldn't hold out and the fight was stopped with 4 seconds left in the second round. This was Massenzio's second win in two fights in the UFC. - Matt Hamill rebounded with a win after losing to Rich Franklin, while Reese Andy lost his second straight fight in the UFC. Hamill though suffered a mild concussion. - Antoni Hardonk won the first two rounds before getting knocked out by UFC newcomer Mark Burch in the third round. - Brad Blackburn won his second straight fight in the UFC, defeating PRIDE veteran Ryo Chonan. - Heavyweight newcomer Pat Barry lost his first professional fight and UFC debut to Dan Evensen who lost to Cheick Kongo in his UFC debut four months ago. - Fight of the Night honors went to Wanderlei Silva and Quinton Jackson, Knockout of the Night went to Mark Burch and there was no Submission of the Night awarded. - UFC President Dana White announced that despite the controversial finish, Frank Mir will indeed be fighting Brock Lesnar next and unify the two heavyweight titles. Whether Nogueira will get an immediate rematch afterwards or have to win a fight or two is unknown.
UFC 93 - Franklin vs. Henderson January 17, 2009 on PPV 02 Arena in Dublin, Ireland Main Card Light Heavyweight Division Rich Franklin (24-3) vs. Dan Henderson (23-7) Light Heavyweight Division Mauricio Rua (16-3) vs. Mark Coleman (15-8) Middleweight Division Alan Belcher (13-5) vs. Denis Kang (31-10-1) Welterweight Division Marcus Davis (15-4) vs. Chris Lytle (26-16-5) Middleweight Division Rousimar Palhares (8-2) vs. Jason Day (17-6) Preliminary Bouts Light Heavyweight Division Antonio Mendes (14-3) vs. Andre Gusmao (5-1) Light Heavyweight Division Tomasz Drwal (14-2) vs. Ivan Serati (9-2) Lightweight Division Dennis Siver (12-6) vs. Nate Mohr (8-5) Welterweight Division Jason Tan (5-3) vs. Abdul Mohamed (16-6-3) Welterweight Division John Hathaway (9-0) vs. Greg Loughran (13-10) Rich Franklin vs. Dan henderson Mauricio Rua vs. Mark Coleman Alan Belcher vs. Denis kang Marcus Davis vs. Chris Lytle Rousimar Palhares vs. Jason Day Antonio Mendes vs. Andre Gusmao Tomasz Drwal vs. Ivan Serati Dennis Siver vs. Nate Mohr Jason Tan vs. Abdul Mohamed John Hathaway vs. Greg Loughran Dustin: 3-7 UFC-KING: 5-5 Dublin Sky: 4-6 A lot of upsets on this card, resulting in the best score being .500

This was Franklin's second straight win at 205 and appears close to a shot at the Light Heavyweight Title. - Mauricio Rua avenged his loss to Mark Coleman three years ago in PRIDE when Coleman broke Rua's arm, starting the Chute Boxe/Hammer House feud. Rua is 17 years younger than Coleman. - This was Coleman's first fight in the UFC in over 10 years. Coleman is reportedly considering retirement after this loss. - PRIDE veteran Denis Kang made his UFC debut with a strong showing against Alan Belcher. While Kang wasn't able to finish the muay thai fighter, he did score a dominating decision win. - Chris Lytle showed he can still compete with the best of them, scoring a big win over Marcus Davis. - Rousimar Palhares lost his second straight fight, althugh via an extremely controversial finish. Palhares was dominating the fight using his superior jiu-jitsu before being cut above the right eye. With just 37 seconds left in the fight, the doctor ruled the cut too severe to allow Palhares to continue, resulting in a TKO victory for Day. UFC President Dana White said Palhares will indeed be receiving a rematch in the future. - Andre Gusmao rebounded after a loss in his UFC debut notching a strong TKO win over Antonio Mendes. - Ivan Serati scored an impressive submission win over Tomasz Drwal in his UFC debut. - Nate Mohr returned to the UFC for the first time since having his knee torn up against Manny Gamburyan over a year ago and was quick to impress, scorching Dennis Siver in just 33 seconds. It is likely that Siver will be released from the UFC after suffering his third straight loss. - Abdul Mohamed lost his UFC debut to Jason Tan and two more fighters made their UFC debuts in the opening fight, and it was the Englishman, John Hathaway who improved to 10-0 defeating Irishman Greg Loughran. Although it should be noted that Loughran took the fight on short notice and normally fights at lightweight. - Fight of the Night went to Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson, Knockout of the Night went to Nate Mohr and Ivan Serati won Submission of the Night by default.
UFC 94 - St. Pierre vs. Penn 2 January 31, 2009 on PPV MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada Main Card UFC Welterweight Title Match Georges St. Pierre (c) (17-2) vs. BJ Penn (13-4-1) Light Heavyweight Division Lyoto Machida (13-0) vs. Thiago Silva (13-0) Welterweight Division Karo Parisyan (18-5) vs. Dong Hyun Kim (11-0-1) Welterweight Division Jon Fitch (17-3) vs. Akihiro Gono (28-13-7) Light Heavyweight Division Stephan Bonnar (12-4) vs. Jon Jones (6-0) Preliminary Bouts Lightweight Division Thiago Tavares (13-3) vs. Manny Gamburyan (8-3) Middleweight Division Jeremy Horn (79-18-5) vs. Jorge Rivera (15-7) Welterweight Division Matt Arroyo (3-2) vs. George Sotiropoulos (9-2) Light Heavyweight Division James Lee (12-3) vs. Doug Marshall (8-3) Welterweight Division Roman Mitichyan (5-2) vs. Troy Mandaloniz (3-1) Georges St. Pierre vs. BJ Penn Lyoto Machida vs. Thiago Silva Karo Parisyan vs. Dong Hyun Kim Jon Fitch vs. Akihiro Gono Stephan Bonnar vs. Jon Jones Thiago Tavares vs. Manny Gamburyan Jeremy Horn vs. Jorge Rivera Matt Arroyo vs. George Sotiropoulos James Lee vs. Doug Marshall Roman Mitichyan vs. Troy Mandaloniz UFC-KING: 5-5 sr_roy97: 7-3

Penn took the 1st round with a takedown, and moving to side mount before getting stood up by "Big" John McCarthy, but the rest of the fight would belong to St. Pierre. St. Pierre used his superior size, strength and wrestling to dominate and control where the fight went. In the final round of this 5 round affair, Penn fired off a leg kick, but it was caught by St. Pierre who dumped him to the canvas and from there proceeded to ground and pound the Lightweight champion until the referee stopped the fight. - In the semi-main event, it was two undefeated light heavyweights, each with a record of 13-0 in a fight which was sure to determine the next challenger for Forrest Griffin. In the end, it was Lyoto Machida finishing off Thiago Silva in the 2nd round by TKO. Silva showed cautious, but effective stand up and even won the first round, but it was Machida's pin-point accuracy that won the day with a big right hand. - Karo Parisyan lost a disappointing fight and dropped his second straight in the octagon. This time though, there was no controversy surrounding the finish as Korean fighter Dong Hyun Kim took a unanimous decision. This was Kim's third straight win in the UFC and improved to 12-0-1. - Jon Fitch fought for the first time since losing a decision to Georges St. Pierre in a Welterweight Title fight and was dominant, defeating Akihiro Gono in under 90 seconds. - Stephan Bonnar returned to the UFC for the first time in over a year since suffering a severe knee injury and didn't miss a step. Bonnar destroyed up and comer Jon Jones in under two and a half minutes and won his third straight fight. - Thiago Tavares lost his third straight fight and could soon find his way out of the UFC if he doesn't turn it around. Tavares lost to TUF 5 runner-up Manny Gamburyan who returned after losing to Rob Emerson in 12 seconds, five months ago. - Jeremy Horn avoided his third straight loss defeating fellow veteran Jorge Rivera by unanimous decision. - Australian George Sotiropoulos fought for the first time since last April handed Matt Arroyo his second straight loss. - Former WEC Light Heavyweight champion Doug Marshall made his UFC debut, and it didn't turn out the way he would have liked, losing in under minute to James Lee. - In the opening bout of the night, Troy Mandaloniz defeated Roman Mitichyan by unanimous decision. - The Fight of the Night was awarded Georges St. Pierre and BJ Penn, Knockout of the Night went to Stephan Bonnar and Submission of the Night went to James Lee for his 59 second guillotine.
UFC Fight Night 17 February 11, 2009 on Spike TV The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada Main Card Lightweight Division Nate Diaz (10-2) vs. Clay Guida (24-9) Lightweight Division Mac Danzig (18-5-1) vs. Josh Neer (24-7-1) Middleweight Division Amir Sadollah (1-0) vs. Nick Catone (5-0) Heavyweight Division Cain Velasquez (4-0) vs. Chad Griggs (7-1) Preliminary Bouts Light Heavyweight Division James Irvin (14-5) vs. Tim McKenzie (12-5) Welterweight Division Rory Markham (16-4) vs. Luke Cummo (6-6) Light Heavyweight Division Houston Alexander (8-4) vs. Alex Shoenauer (14-9) Lightweight Division Gleison Tibau (15-6) vs. Kyle Bradley (13-6) Middleweight Division Matt Horwich (22-11-1) vs. Joe Vedepo (7-2) UFC-KING: 5-5 InsatiableInsanity: 6-4 sr_roy97: 3-7 Since this upcoming card has so many small names, if anyone goes 7-2 rather than undefeated, you'll win the right to book a match. Diaz took the 1st round before Guida stormed back to take the 2nd, but it was Diaz who took the third round with his much-improved boxing skills. - Mac Danzig and Josh Neer took the stage before the main event and it was a barn burner. The two fighters split the first two rounds before Danzig caught him early in the third and took the TKO win. - After being delayed since November, TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah entered the octagon and took home another quick win, this time over the previously undefeated Nick Catone. - Cain Velasquez opened up the televised portion with a dominant decision victory over UFC newcomer Chad Griggs. This marked the first time though that Velasquez wasn't able to finish his opponent in the 1st round. - James Irvin came back with a win after losing to Anderson Silva in July in Silva's light heavyweight debut. Irvin defeated former WEC competitor Tim McKenzie in McKenzie's UFC debut. - Luke Cummo snuck by Rory Markham with a split decision to improve his record above .500. - Houston Alexander looked on his way to breaking his losing streak, pummeling former IFL veteran Alex Schoenauer through the first two rounds before making a big mistake and getting choked out with under 30 seconds to go in the fight. This marks Alexander's fourth straight loss and Schoenauer's first win in the UFC. - Gleison Tibau made quick work of Kyle Bradley, winning in under two minutes by a beautiful triangle choke and Matt Horwich defeated Joe Vedepo by unanimous decision. - Fight of the Night went to Houston Alexander and Alex Schoenauer, Knockout of the night to Mac Danzig and Submission of the night was awarded to Gleison Tibau for his triangle choke.
UFC 95 - Silva vs. Evans February 28, 2009 on PPV O2 Arena in London, England Main Card Light Heavyweight Division Anderson Silva (23-4) vs. Rashad Evans (12-1-1) Light Heavyweight Division Chuck Liddell (21-6) vs. Brandon Vera (9-3) Welterweight Division Diego Sanchez (19-2) vs. Jake Shields (22-4-1) Middleweight Division Goran Reljic (8-0) vs. Alessio Sakara (13-7) Welterweight Division Dan Hardy (20-6) vs. Paul Taylor (9-4-1) Preliminary Bouts Welterweight Division Martin Kampmann (13-2) vs. Paul Kelly (7-1) Lightweight Division Terry Etim (11-2) vs. Justin Buccholz (8-2) Heavyweight Division Christian Wellisch (8-4) vs. Jake O'Brien (10-2) Lightweight Division David Bielkheden (13-6) vs. Per Eklund (14-3-1) Lightweight Division Jess Liaudin (12-11) vs. Samy Schiavo (10-6) ACCBiggz: 7-2 UFC-KING: 5-4 dtrot021: 5-4 sr_roy97: 6-3
