Eisen-verse
Pre-Post: I know that I've posted a lot of forum subjects about creating new companies and what people thought I should do with it. Not because I was trying to spam the place but rather because I've been having troubles staying with one game very long. I get bored pretty quickly and end up giving up on the game not to far into it. With that being said, I was thinking about creating a new game with a resurgent HGC. ___________________________________________________________________ I was thinking about creating a new game with a resurgent HGC and was wondering if anyone remembered the product that the company ran? Was it a carbon copy of the SWF? I know that it was Sports Entertainment but was it different at all? I can't really remember. Also, What popularity level would a company coming back from the "dead" be able to carry? Cult level status? Especially with the lack of popular talent out there, It would probably not be able to be any higher. I thought about just playing as USPW (another SE like fed), however, can't get into the product. So I thought creating this company again could pose as something fun. The backstory is pretty much that TCW, in a financially strategic manor, decided to not renew the copyright on the HGC name. Thinking that the name would mean little to nothing without the assets (film library, title belts, etc.) they let the name go. Just as a jaded J.K. Stallings Jr. decided to swing back in and instantly buy up the copyright again. Many thought it was just him trying to hold onto something from his past. If someone is going to own it... it should be him. ya know? But then he shocks the industry when he announces the re-birth of the company. I'm thinking Cult level status, SE type wrestling, and some of the big names (or if you call it that) being people like Steve Flash, JD Morgan, Grandmaster Phunk, Hell Bouncer, and maybe even a pre-game edit of having Nemesis on board so I have at least one bonafide superstar. Anywhoo, Just wanted to know if you thought "cult" was ideal for popularity levels for a resurgent HGC. EDIT: If not the HGC, I was thinking about having J.K. just create a new company to his own called something like "Dream Stage Wrestling" or "Billionaire Wrestling Entertainment", however, I don't have a logo to do so. I know the Dream Stage one there is one out there however it's not what I was really looking for.

Mr T Jobs To Me
Here's how I believe this type of situation should be viewed. You look at the kind of cash the company would have and decide what level the promotion should be at from there. If Bill Gates somehow decided that he wanted to open a wrestling company for financial gain, he would pursue banner name talent. So I think JK Stallings would have a similar mentality (Which he of course did back in 1997). Just because a company opens one month doesn't mean they have to run a show the next- I would start the company at National with only maybe a few contracts from the cream of what's available and not run a show until you had acquired enough talent from SWF and TCW through contract expiry.... Might want to put the prestige at A* and the popularity with a comfortable cushion so you can survive a few months of losing National Battles though. I kinda thought that if someone like Stallings created a company again it would be hugely popular straight out of the gate due to the overall money he has alone. I like the idea of a Jaded Stallings coming back and trying to gain the ground he wanted to stand on. However, it may be quite difficult to pull off without the "star power". I could do the thing where I wait it out for others to be released, however, that may not come early enough. In the sense of company logos, wrestler pictures, and title belt pictures? I may look into just going back in time and playing as HGC to challenge the SWF that way. Not really sure. Try it! ;)
