EkmO Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 In past TEW games you chose your booking teams, Do you have to do that in TEW08?
sabataged Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008
In past TEW games you chose your booking teams, Do you have to do that in TEW08?
Nope
Deevious Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I have always theorized how TEW08's "booking team" gets established. I imagine it's a mixture of the owner's picks, road agent picks, and possibly a worker who has the highest respect stat in the locker room. Because sometimes I find myself scratching my head at some their "hidden gems" picks. I almost never heed them. I wish the option of picking your own creative team could've carried over in TEW08. Hopefully next version.
Blackman Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I just think it's just an application that's the same each time. I don't think you have the power to influence it.
Derek B Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 The creative team in TEW07 didn't actually do anything, they just offered up simple opinions with obvious answers if they had any relationships with anyone on your roster. They were really bland flavour and when asked about it, no-one ever seemed to listen to anything they said anyways. So they were replaced... ... with a much better system that allows you to see a lot of helpful information at a quick glance. With regards the "hidden gems" selections, I think they are generally a combination of available workers, star quality, age, overness and potential/high destiny values (and probably stat caps by this stage). Meaning that the variance you get between games on those lists should show you who guys who have been blessed with high caps, the kind of guys who could be stars. :)
The Masked Orange Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008
star quality, age, overness and potential/high destiny values
Wait, Larry Wood has been appearing on my hidden Gems screen forever. But he is nearly fourty
Derek B Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008
Wait, Larry Wood has been appearing on my hidden Gems screen forever. But he is nearly fourty
Yeah, but he's generally awesome in everything else so he's still going to be someone you could turn into a star despite his age. Steve Flash, a similar age but far better in ring worker, never shows up on those lists. :p
Comradebot Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Yeah, but he's generally awesome in everything else so he's still going to be someone you could turn into a star despite his age. Steve Flash, a similar age but far better in ring worker, never shows up on those lists. Maybe because Wood was A Star Quality while Flash has a meager D+?
Dragonmack Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I got Larry Wood from D+ pop in Canada to B across the board in less than 4 months and he barely wrestled more than dark matches at the time. I booked him as a Mysterious assailant and had him do menace promos on tv taunting Jack DeColt for 2 months and his momentum and popularity skyrocketed. Then when he did get the opportunity for high profile matches, he was delivering B lvl matches as well. So yes, Larry Wood IS a wrestling god!
