hello people,

 

i am writing to ask people in their WWE games how long have they gone without John Cena being in the WWE or World Title picture?

 

for me my game started in january 08 and it was'nt until december '08 at armageddon that john cena got his first one on one title shot for the WWE Title.

 

i have put cena in a feud with william regal (2 matches one at wrestlemania, one at one night stand), vladimir kozlov and a match with vince mcmahon at summerslam.

In my diary in the 08 dynasty forums (dynasty forum but I always call it a diary ) Cena is my current champ and he was already champ when my game/diary started. He has been champ for over a year now after retaining the championship against Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match at No Mercy - the match that never took place in real life due to Cena's injury.

i usually put cena on the back burner for a while, im sick of him but I let him stay in the upper mid card and wrestle and ill bring him in during the dead months of a possible storyline for a shot but in my latest game has gone two years without a title shot at any title

 

i think he deserves one soon, but he has had high profile feuds so i'm not sure, i like him without the title, kinda like how I like my Undertaker

I had Cena feuding with Triple H towards the end of 2006 in my diary game, for the WHC. He'll be right back in the title race on RAW, as soon as there's a heel champion.

I started in August 2008. It is now April 2009. So far, I've jobbed Cena to Jericho, then Batista, then Orton, then John Morrison, and now Paul Burchill. The only thing he's near at the moment is my newly introduced ECW TV title which Burchill currently holds, of which Cena will never win. He's still a main eventer, but more of a main eventer jobber than anything. The Miz willl be next to go over him, followed by Dolph Ziggler. I might give him a tag title run eventually with Rey Mysterio, but I'm not sure about that.

Well I started my game in the month of September. Cena didn't get a title match until Royal Rumble, which he lost because I wanted Punk to keep the title. Cena had a rematch with Punk and lost again and hasn't had a title feud since and I'm now in June. He's been in a Fatal Fourway for the title on Smackdown though.

I releaesed him due to not being able to offer a contract renewal that both parties were happy with (I wont be held to ransom) and have so far gone 2 years without him. He went to Japan for a bit and is now unemployed. Financially I'm doing a little better, but think I'll hold off bringing him back to the company until at least my next Wrestlemania (if he's still free).

DAMN you turned Cena into a jobber , now why cant WWE do this, job him to people instead of making him SUPERMAN. Cena wont loose any popularity even if he loose... personally i dont put the belt on him unless its really necesary during my games.

 

Cena helped MVP alot who is my current WWE Champ (13months) and Kennedy who is my WHC (4months) who he jobbed a total of 20 times, I will also use Cena to build me new star Bobby Roode towards ECW Title after thaT i will give him a run with any world title.

How about a tag team run with the Brooklyn Brawler?

Exactly, in all my games, Cena is far more likely to pull out good matches than Batista, so which 1 am I going to keep a threat for those Wrestlemania moments, and which 1 will be jobbing more than a $2 hooker....

Unfortunately though, I have just found that Rey and Batista have great tag team chemistry so I think I will have to stop jobbing him quite so much now and build them as a team.

They are not making him superman, he IS superman!!!

 

As for title runs, using the KYR October data, Cena was injured at the start of the game, and only came back around the end of November (I think, maybe a bit later) by which time all of my storylines were in full swing leading up to Mania, so he won't be getting a title shot for a while, well, not a legit 1 anyway. I have had him in 1 title match on RAW because I was starting to feel Jericho hadn't made enough defences, but Cena won't be getting a real title push until Summerslam I guess, as HBK is going to go over Y2J at Mania, and then Kofi is going to turn on HBK (protege turn on mentor) setting up a feud between them, so yeah, Summerslam at the earliest, which will be about a year, and he probably won't win it until the Royal Rumble, so that will be a good 16 months where Cena wasn't champ, that is, unless I draft him to Smackdown and he donkey punches his was through Trips and the rest of the roster.
