D16NJD16 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Im shooting for like a B and above grade, anyone have tips for booking a highly rated Royal Rumble?
G-Prime Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Put heaps of main eventers and upper midcarders in it, and no enhancement talents or openers.
sebsy Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I'm not exactly sure if it's any different in 08 as I am playing 07 atm but imo you should be able to book Rumbles properly, choosing who eliminates who, what order etc. Booking a Rumble atm is so far from perfect it's unbeliavble, unfortunately

This is actually the only reason I want a TEW 2009/2010. A part from this, the current game is perfect (kudos to Adam <3) but there really should be an option to book an elimination match properly.
foolinc Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Yeah, the only way to do this is to use your imagination. Either run a 10 man rumble or use a multi man match and pretend the midcarders were in the match.

With all due respect, and let me make it clear that I really do like this game, but it is far from perfect. I am speaking in regards to 07 as I haven't got 08, but there are plenty of areas where the game could be improved and plenty of things that could be added to make the game more fun. I don't understand how you can book 2v2v2v2 and 60 man Royal Rumbles but you can't book a 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1 Just little things that could be done to make the game so much better than it is. But as I say I'm certainly not calling the game bad, it is far from it, it just could be so much better.

bitlos Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 dont know about 07 but I think you can create that in 08 unless its a person limit Actually the maximum allowed by the game are 6-Way singles, it's not possible to book an 8-way singles match (like the last 2 Money in the Bank matches)
falling_star Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Make sure that no one pulling double duty on the card is going to get tired during the Rumble, since you have no way of saying how long they'll stay out there. A talented main eventer like, say, Kane could have already worked a match and to keep him looking like a main eventer he could be in the Rumble 30 minutes. . . that'd kill his stamina and possible drag things down. Also make sure that no one pulling double duty is going to be overexposed to the crowd, as talented midcarders who could bring a lot to the Rumble match grade might have competed in US/IC/Tag title matches. If you're doing the Royal Rumble, you're WWF/E and that means you have money to burn so working agreements are your friend for the Rumble. Try to bring in some talented guys who have at least D/D+ area overness in the US from other places (guys like The Great Muta, Masahiro Chono, Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri from Japan; Juventud Guerrera, Shocker, Hector Garza from Mexico). You could also try to use some short PPA deals with guys like Terry Funk, RVD, Goldberg or others. Like G-Prime said, pile on the main eventers; practically everyone with B- or better on your roster is a must.
