Guest Ransik Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/sdvsraw09/dlc/ Since I got the game second-hand for less than half the price I was REALLY looking forward to having DiBiase and Hass be part of the DLC. Was also looking forward to Super Crazy... who has apparently been scrapped. Well, we got a preview today... check the link out. I'm seriously hoping this is a WWE Kids Magazine art contest winner and not what is really being released. Kind of embarrassing they put that picture up... ugh... hopefully they release them all separately cause I still want DiBiase but I'll pass on everything else. But just think folks... we have Diva X-Mas attires to look forward to next week. Yeah I know... I try to hype it but I do a terrible job.
Guest Ransik Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Really? I dunno, looks like he's sucking on a sour patch kid while drinking lemonade while Pat Patterson is trying to er... well... yeah.
jagilki Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Haas looks funky, but the rest doesn't look horrible. http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/sdvsraw09/dlcgallery/
Guest Ransik Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I dunno, Bourne to me just looks like a cross between The Miz and some kind of ad campaign character... looks like he could say "buy my cereal" or something like that. Thankfully DiBiase looks good, he's all I'm really worried about. Haas... looks improved in the entrance pic... but I'm still not seeing Charlie Haas when I look at him.
CQI13 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Any word on the release date, aside from "Coming Soon"?
Clarity Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Is it me or do most of the faces actually just look like they have been pasted onto a square
Guest Ransik Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 IMO, they're waiting until no one even cares, then when the DLC doesn't sell they'll whine and refuse to release the rest of the packs they planned. Yukes should've had a pack out the very first week to keep interest moving since they have enough stuff lined up for 4 packs... at this point I only play the game with friends, there's little replay value when you play the game alone.
The Swanton825 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 In all likelihood the DLC will come out next week.

Five dollars gets you three characters and an alternate attire. Just like a Rock Band "pack" is usually five dollars for two songs I like and a third I don't, I'm looking at this as a pretty sweet deal that includes expansion on some options that are nice to have even if they don't get used very often.
Guest Ransik Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Well on Rock Band it's about $1.99 per song... if you buy a pack of 5 you usually just save a buck, close to a buck fifty. I dunno, I just don't really want Bourne or Haas, and I could care less about alternate attires that you can't see a difference with. Punk and Rey's are pretty much crap and Jericho's B attire is the only noticable one I've seen. I saw all the ones being released in later packs on Youtube... didn't see one actual difference except for Kane.

CQI13 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 He also has the light blue ones you can unlock through his RTWM to get the Jericho from before he left.
Guest Ransik Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Jericho's DLC attire is short tights rather than the long ones he has by default. Someone really messed up in that video then. But anyway, does it REALLY matter if Jericho has long or short tights? I especially don't want to have to pay for them if I don't have to considering Chris doesn't even have the proper entrance theme. Sure I can easily burn it because a website had a properly timed theme of him to get... but then it'll run the countdown when you win a match with him... so to me it's a catch 22. I can have an up-to-date Jericho for $1.50 in terms of looks but in order for it to actually be 100% correct I have to mess up other things. If they toss his theme in with the new attire... it'd be worth it, but I'm still hoping for individual DLC.
