Masked Superstar Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Alright, well we are a National company and of course to reach international we are gonna have to gain experience outside the states. So I picked up a couple guys who are pretty over in Mexico and Japan and am gonna run some tours there. Of course as an American company they are listed as Enhancement Talents and Openers. So the question is when I run these tours should I put my regular guys who are Midcarders, Upper Midcarders, & Main Eventers over these guys dispite the fact that the new foriegn talent are way more popular? The fed is rated equally on performance and popularity. Also since they are so low on the card usually should I place these foriegners in main events instead of opening matches? Will grades suffer in anyway? Also I really don't want to book them for short matches which would be expected from enhancement talents and openers, with them being pretty freakin' popular in Japan/Mexico anyway I can raise this without getting the "you over-used" message? and lastly HOW WOULD YOU book these?
pepper2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 You should not do tours. Try to get TV deals or PPV. You should book House Shows to those you dont have TV or PPV coverage and then use the internet to raise the popularity. Well, if you are adamant to have foreign tours, you can manually push them, active workers complain only when they are push lower than what they deserved/:cool:
Phantom Stranger Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 You should not do tours. Try to get TV deals or PPV. You are unlikely to get these deals without raising popularity there first. Hence, run (say) one show a month. Target a region with good Importance and allow its rising popularity to spill over. Use house shows to maintain popularity in the spillover regions. Expect crappy, crappy ratings relative to what you usually get there; if your guys are talented, you should still be way above what you need to bolster popularity.
Masked Superstar Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Appreciate the advice from you both! Like Stranger said it is unlikely that I will be able to get a PPV deal or a network to run my TV Show but I haven't tried at all and will try the smaller networks. I will be running one "touring" show a month in Japan and one show a month in Mexico and thinking about jumping in to Canada as well since just signed Dan Stone Jr. to go along with the annual monthly regular PPV. That would be one extra show a week to go along with the TV Show. Since I am completely unknown in the regions thinking that the shows start out a Small hour show using those talents that are known in each region and having it grow and include other talent as the popularity rises in each. Like I said that means booking alot of enhancement talents/openers overseas but hope that doesn't matter. Does that sound like an intelligent concept? Again appreciate cha reading and helping.

Today 09:34 AM Like pepper said, just manually set the popular foreign workers as midcarders+ during the tour. Then you can use them for longer matches.
pepper2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Mexico has a tv station that is tiny and you could usually have a contract at E popularity
