Just to let you know when you do the WWF that from 1987 until 1995 they only ran 5 ppv shows a year those being the survivor series, the royal rumble, wrestle mania, and summer slamm.Oh and King of the ring which at first was not a ppv event but was shown live on the USA network.

im probably gonna redo alot of the logos and i will try to use the original versions as a template to work off of, but alot of logos at that time were rubbish. it would be nice if any of you guys could help with what promotions were active around this time besides the bigger ones.

Try these links for history of promotions

http://www.bookrags.com/wiki/Professional_wrestling_promotion

Scroll all the way down the page till you see the list of promotions.Clicking on the promotions name(in blue) will take you to a page with a brief history of the promotion.

http://www.bookrags.com/wiki/List_of_professional_wrestling_promotions

Now this one goes more into detail of the promotions including major story lines, feuds and list of workers that worked for them. And covers not only the united states but the whole world. Also to find promotions from the 80's try searching the list of defunct promotions.Very few promotions around now were around then except for the wwe(wwf) and maybe a few prootions in other countries or small indie type promotions.

Oh and if you read the histories you will find that calgary stampede wrestling was bought by the WWf and used as a child promotion intill it was sold back to the hart family in 1988

This is a brief history of wrestling in Hawaii i just thought i would share with you.The writer of this column really knows what he is talking about

And that one card he talked about a hot summer night at aloha stadium the 1st one brought back so much memories(i was at the show). And what a card it was.Just to see big bruiser Brody going at it with Antonio Anoki was worth the price.

I will be geting back to you shortly going to see what i can dig up.

Stampede is still open at this time...

With guys like Pillman, Owen, and Benoit...good period for them.

They closed down in 1990...

Pretty sure Portland/Pacific Northwest is still open as well.

AWA is still going strong...

Continental Wrestling Federation in Alabama is being booked by Eddie Gilbert and is apart of the AWA.
