Kobe1724 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Like I've noticed eye candy matches never seem to rate better than a B regardless of the circumstances. Certain angle categories (menace/sex appeal based) seem to be capped at around a B as well. Just wondering if certain angle and match types can't get any better than a certain grade regardless of promotion type.
Derek B Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 As far as I'm aware, the only caps are the combination of skills and overness of your workers involved in the angles. I regularly score A rated angles in my USPW game using menace (T-Rex, Bruce the Giant, Danny Patterson ,even Jumbo Jackson) and overness (same guys, plus Sam Strong, James Justice and Peter Valentine). While I don't use every angle type available in the game, I know they do perfectly well for me. Though product types will have an influence too, depending on how much your fans are expecting to see angles and storylines rather than in-ring action.
Kobe1724 Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 Just made a promotion with Risque key feature, comedy high, T&A levels high, integrated gender heel divide medium. Everything else is none. Made 2 workers with 100 popularity in the US with sex appeal and star quality at 100. Momentums A plus and A respectively. Made a sex sells angle with very high risk. One with them together, 1 with them both apart (nothing devious, I promise ). Then I did an event. My ratings for all 3 were C's. Guess I answered my own questions. I wonder what other angle types are capped... I'll try and get back to you guys. Edit: Strangely when I did the exact same angle but I changed the criteria to rated on acting rather than sex appeal the worker got a B- even though the character has a 0 in acting ability. That's weird. I just noticed that when I played as BSC in Cornellverse that beyond a certain sex appeal rating (B or so) that my workers sex sells angles scored in the C- to C range no matter who they were. Even when I brought in more popular workers like Alicia Strong/Joane Rodriguez/Wanda Fish I got the same results. I started to think there was some sort of hard cap on the ratings. Not sure how I feel about that. On the one hand the workers you use are basically a non issue in this sort of product and you can pull a C without trying. On the other hand, I always got the impression you could get any sort of promotion to the top in the game but now I see that isn't the case. I wonder if any match types/worker styles have built in caps. I'll have to check.
