dtrot021 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 I got a laptop for Christmas and was wondering if I can transfer my TEW07 to this computer. Will it work? BTW: If not all, what games work on Vista?
UFC-KING Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 WMMA, TEW pretty much all GDS Games work, just run as administrator
FINisher Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 The older games like TEW07 and WreSpi II will not work on Vista. They run for a little while but then there comes weird errors and such. But TEW08 runs perfectly as does WMMA (Haven't played it but it was the first game that was designed with the new engine or so.)
Blasphemywebleed Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 The older games like TEW07 and WreSpi II will not work on Vista. I've not had any trouble at all running Wrespi 2 on Vista. As with anything try the demo before purchasing. If the demo runs smoothly then the full game will too.
panix04 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I have vista 64bit and no issues with TEW08, or WMMA on that either. Having a shed-load of RAM will aid performance loads though, just a heads up!

Have also checked out the demo of WMMA and BBCF and both worked fine.

TEW07 can be a pain on Vista, but it all depends on your system.

CHOWDERHEAD Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Running BBCF on Vista 64 bit no problem.

Yeah I've noticed...I had gotten a new PC for Christmas so I decided to finally start playing TEW 07 again and I have the EXACT same error your talking about. So my question is what's the news of a new TEW or a price drop in TEW 08?
Derek B Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Yeah I've noticed...I had gotten a new PC for Christmas so I decided to finally start playing TEW 07 again and I have the EXACT same error your talking about. So my question is what's the news of a new TEW or a price drop in TEW 08? Adam is working on WMMA2 just now and he only works on one game at a time, so there won't be any news of a new TEW until after, assuming that's what he plans to do next. I'm on his dev team and even I don't have a clue. As for a price drop, most games get reduced when a sequel is released, so TEW08 isn't going to be lowered in price for probably at least a year, depending on Adam's next project after WMMA2.
