Ezuma Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Something I've noticed playing as APW (CornellVerse). Blake Belushi and Stephanie Drucker are dating, and she is his manager. In every other game they've had great chemistry, but in this game, they have awful chemistry, and I've had to separate them as manager/client in order to stop getting bad ratings. So is chemistry randomly determined or is this a... bug of some sort?
Bigpapa42 Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Chemistry is randomly determined in each game. Not certain if a pre-existing relationship like that makes it likely they wil have good chemistry or not, but it is supposed to be random.
James Casey Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 I tend to think of chemistry as points on the circumference of a circle - for example, if you have two guys within 10 degrees of each other, they'll have great chemistry, 20 degrees good chemistry, beyond that neutral chemistry (the great majority) and beyond 175 degrees separation they have awful/negative chemistry. A person's location on the circumference is randomly generated at the start of the game, as we know, which makes every game different (for example in keefmoon's FMTA diary where he couldn't book Rock/Austin or Rock/Undertaker, I believe, because of poor chemistry).
D-Lyrium Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Chemistry is based on Destiny. The further apart two people's Destinies are, the worse their chemistry will be (like JC's circle example). So since Destiny is random in each game, so is Chemistry. Handy hint: If you find someone who has a good Destiny (either because of certain internet reports, because you set it that way in the editor or they've been gaining in stats and popularity a lot for little/no reason), then anyone they have good chemistry with should also have a decent Destiny, and thus should be pushed too. Anyone they have bad chemistry with probably has a crappy Destiny and probably isn't worth the bother
supershot Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Thats a very good find. I'm giving this a try.
