Owner blocking his own loses...

...is there any way to get around this? Would a flash pinfall or cheap finish change his mind? I was planning on having him lose in the finals of a tag tournament but what do you know, he blocked the other team from winning.

I've had this with BBW and WEXXV with Ryu Kajahara.. Usually he loses to his friends or someone who has similar popularity. Depends on the personality of that certain owner. Try assigning the owner with no manager and the opponent with a manager, and try to use "Manager interference" note or something else. I always make multiple copys of the savegame to try different booking notes and hope that he will lose

Owner personality makes a big difference, too - witness Rip Chord refusing to lose to Jay Chord in my game. Popularity plays a big part too, of course.

Just a slight thread hijack here - when someone says they want to come out of the match looking better, will they every accept anything other than winning? I've tried to have them lose by DQ, Count-out, interference, flash pin, keep strong, dominate, etc, etc. but they always still want me to make them look better. This happens with all manner of workers as well from my experience, not specific ones.

I've never known it to mean anything other than that they want to win *shrug* They may accept a flash defeat with interference, dominance and so on - but I wouldn't bet on it.

No, at least in my experience with Puerto Rican Power he'd rather win by DQ or flash pin while being dominated than dominate the match himself and lose by outside interference.

You just have to just set the match with no victor, maybe add dominate trend on the other guy and pray that the owner lose. He will usually lose to guys with higher popularity.
