Promotion buy out

Because 'buy' and 'out' are too short to be searchable...

 

Anyway, apart from potentially getting a company's titles, is there any benefit from buying out a company with no written contracts? In my game, 4C are about to go under and if I'm guaranteed a prestige/popularity boost then it could be worth me taking them over... If it's just the titles, well, I have a lot of them already.

 

Also, would I be required to cover the whole cost of the company's debts as part of the process?

No idea but the bolded part annoys me greatly. Makes it very difficult to search of threads about specific promotions (SWF, TCW, PSW, CGC, etc).

I can't confirm for sure, but I know in 07 you would gain a bit of prestige for buying out a promotion. I say try it out for yourself. Make a copy of your save just before you buy out the promotion and see what effects it has. If there isn't enough, go back to your copy and play from there.

It would be really nice if someone did the test because I am in desperate need of prestiege in my current game and I could aford to buy some federations...
