spikedave Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 What are downside's i thought they were like a signing on fee.Am i right or wrong? Dave
flaviooooo Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Correct me if I'm wrong but: A downside is the amount you have to pay a wrestler if you don't use him that month
Irish Wolf Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Correct me if I'm wrong but: A downside is the amount you have to pay a wrestler if you don't use him that month Correct. If you hire a worker on a PPA and do not use him at all that month then you pay his downside. If you use him even just once you do not pay the downside.
spikedave Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Ah Ok. Now i know that i wont pay stupid amounts thinking its a signing on fee Whoops Dave
James Casey Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Correct. If you hire a worker on a PPA and do not use him at all that month then you pay his downside. If you use him even just once you do not pay the downside. Generally true, however, if the downside is greater than his appearance fee then you will pay the difference. You must pay the worker an amount equal to, or greater than, his downside, regardless of whether or not he's used in the month. For example: Worker A has a per-appearance fee of $800 a show, with a $2,000 downside If you use him once in a month then you will pay $800 for that show, plus $1,200 to meet his downside. If you use him twice in a month then you will pay $1,600 for those shows, plus $400 to meet his downside. If you use him three times in a month then you will pay $2,400 for those shows, and nothing extra as you will have met the minimum downside fee.
Thomnipotent Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Oh, bloody Hell. I thought the downside was per show. That's why I barely ever sign people who ask for downsides. Haha. Embarrassing. Thanks, guys.
