Blackman Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Does it actually have an effect. I watch myself spending tens of thousands of dollars on well known music tracks for my intros, but does it actually do something? So far the event quality hasn't risen noticably. I presume it'll up the quality of an event by a few percent, but it's hard to see though. Anyone can confirm? Or is it just there... like the stable feature from TEW 2007.
Derek B Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Though I can't say with 100% certainty that I'm right, I believe licensed music leads to a better crowd mood and consequently to better shows too. If I'm right (I believe I am) then small promotions never need worry about it, since they should get decent enough ratings fairly easily... similarly, really big promotions probably don't need it either as they are so big that they are unlikely to be able to lose popularity without some terrible booking in the first place. So to me, it's ideal for those promotions on the bubble of National and Cult. It can give the boost you need to get up and stay up, while also hopefully being enough to help you out in National Battles if that situation comes up. Maybe not a huge amount, but having all your segments a little better off through good music could be all you need to push from #3 to #2 in your area.
