Ping von Erich Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I've heard over and over how people hate the fact when playing a C-verse game as another promotion how the SWF seems to always crash and burn down to cult before eventually leveling off. This sucks simply for realism sake due to SWF supposedly being the uber sports entertainment promotion ala WWE.. dropping to cult four months in sort of shatters that illusion. So I've started logically upping the overness of some of SWF's main eventers.. appropriate to their position and history. Like, for instance Christian Faith.. Mr. SWF, upped his overness to A*, same with Jack Bruce.. huge signing from the rival TCW, lots of momentum.. upped to A*. Remo, Frehley, Enygma, Train.. all in A's. Seeing as SWF starts as the biggest promotion in the game, logically they should have stars with the overness to support that position. After doing this, playing as TCW and watching SWF sim their shows.. the usual C+ to B- grade shows went away in favor of B to A grade shows. Makes playing the game a little more realistic, and adds a greater challenge when playing TCW or USPW to "catch up to the big boys up north".. that sort of thing.
FlameSnoopy Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I have actually never seen SWF drop. I've only seen them rising up to global, and dropping back to international maybe once. The reason might be, that I've got only about two 2 year games. :/ I would love to see SWF drop :]
Derek B Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I always change SWF to have a 70% match ratio... they have 80% to default, but since I switched it I've never seen them fall down to Cult in my various games.
James Casey Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 In my game SWF have hit Global four times and then fallen to Cult four times. Each time they drop, they lose one or two of their big name workers (this time it's been Steve Frehley, who's about the most over worker in the game) which, of course, will make it that much harder to climb back and stay there if they make it. The odd thing is, the workers don't seem to get snapped up. If you were TCW and Remo, Frehley and Rich Money came on the market, wouldn't you sign them? Remo's worked one match this year (he wasn't exactly overused in SWF either) and while he's got a lousy personality, he's B+ across the States and Canada. Rich Money, oddly, can barely breathe for companies chasing him - but nada for his partner.
