Since 2010, Hard Lines Wrestling has grown to earn the spot of 3rd greatest UK promotion, now ahead of MOSC. 21CW still rule the roost, albeit still a regional promotion but they do pitch battle with Ring of Fire and new boys HLW are closing the gap also!

This is mostly thanks to a $250,000 investment from owner Richard Garlick’s brother, Paul and friend David Jones who also joined the roster in 2013. A strong marketing campaign propelled the promotion into the Midlands spotlight.

In the ring a pitched battle still rages on between the forces of The Commission, headed by HLW owner, Richard Garlick. And The Revolution headed by influential wrestler and HLW champion, Adam Matravers.

The war has recently started to heat up with the introduction of new members on both sides. Matravers has drafted in Daniel Black Francis and Phillip Cooper while The Commission add Joss Thompson after his stint away from HLW, Bruce the Giant, Walter Morgan and Byron.

Cox is an original HLW roster member making his debut for HLW in March 2008 in a loss to Gabriel Green. Cox found success teaming with Thunderbolt as “The Storm”. The team was a huge success winning the Tag-Team League and became the first ever HLW Tag-Team champions. Thunderbolts depature from HLW has left Cox without a partner and now competes as a member of The Revolution.

Matravers made his debut in HLW at HLW Insanity, June 2013. He lost this opening match before going on a huge winning streak. This streak included claiming the HLW title from Walter Morgan in July. The streak ended with Matravers losing the title back to Walter Morgan only to retrieve it again at the end of the month.

Andrew Lee has had a mixed start to his HLW carear. Starting in April 2013 suffered a number of losses against HLW’s top men as he tried to stick a place with the big boys. The win never came and Lee was confined to making waves in the lower card. Recently Andrew Lee competed for and claimed the vacant HLW Hardcore Title.

Arthur T. Turtle has enjoyed mixed success in HLW. The current 2 time HLW Tag-Team champions have enjoyed being a dominant force in the tag-team division. He has been forced of the joining The Commission despite being an obvious candidate for recruitment. It seems his ideals clash with HLW owner, Richard Garlick’s, plans for who he wants as the tag-team champions.

Beast Bantom made his debut in January 2011 in a win over Phil Cox. Bantom became a member of The Commission and took a role in teaming with other Commission members, namely The Landlord as an occasional partnership. Bantom’s name success was capturing the Regional title from Eric Future for all of two defences before Future reclaimed the belt.

Billy Robinson has been a member of the HLW roster since September 2011. He claimed his first prize in HLW, the World title, in May 2012 in a Ladder match. He quickly allied himself with The Revolution. The Landlord would retake the title in 2013 before Robinson once again shone through and took the title for the second time.

David Jones is one-half of Yr Tarw (The Bulls) alongside HLW Owner’s brother, Paul Garlick. David has had success both in tag and singles competition. The pair won the tag-team titles for a brief stint, which sparked a rivalry with Final Fantasy over the titles. David has had chances at the HLW Action title recently.

The self-proclaimed superstar has been a member of the HLW roster since 2012. Originally he targeted The Commission looking to pick off its members en route to a challenge for the HLW World championship. HLW Owner, Richard Garlick, has tried to mastermind control over the promotion beyond the aspects of fairness and equal opportunity. He's tried to install champions of his choosing throughout the promotion using some underhanded tactics.

The Revolution are a group of HLW competitors that have allied themselves together with the aim of preventing Richard Garlick from doing just that! They look to take the titles for themselves and thwart Garlick's plans for promotional domination.

The whole affair has led to an open war between the two factions. At present Adam Matravers' group hold two the titles, most importantly the HLW World title.

In an attempt to redeem The Commission's reputation, Garlick has created the HLW Immortal title. An accolade currently held by Walter Morgan.

Difficult to know where these two stand after all this time. Future seems to have a good record so I'll go with him, even though you'd expect Byron to be better normally.
