Open 2014…

Since 2010, Hard Lines Wrestling has grown to earn the spot of 3rd greatest UK promotion, now ahead of MOSC. 21CW still rule the roost, albeit still a regional promotion but they do pitch battle with Ring of Fire and new boys HLW are closing the gap also!

This is mostly thanks to a $250,000 investment from owner Richard Garlick’s brother, Paul and friend David Jones who also joined the roster in 2013. A strong marketing campaign propelled the promotion into the Midlands spotlight.

In the ring a pitched battle still rages on between the forces of The Commission, headed by HLW owner, Richard Garlick. And The Revolution headed by influential wrestler and HLW champion, Adam Matravers.

The war has recently started to heat up with the introduction of new members on both sides. Matravers has drafted in Daniel Black Francis and Phillip Cooper while The Commission add Joss Thompson after his stint away from HLW, Bruce the Giant, Walter Morgan and Byron.

Member of The Revolution

Cox is an original HLW roster member making his debut for HLW in March 2008 in a loss to Gabriel Green. Cox found success teaming with Thunderbolt as “The Storm”. The team was a huge success winning the Tag-Team League and became the first ever HLW Tag-Team champions. Thunderbolts depature from HLW has left Cox without a partner and now competes as a member of The Revolution.

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/adam_matravers.jpg

Leader of The Revolution

Matravers made his debut in HLW at HLW Insanity, June 2013. He lost this opening match before going on a huge winning streak. This streak included claiming the HLW title from Walter Morgan in July. The streak ended with Matravers losing the title back to Walter Morgan only to retrieve it again at the end of the month.

Record: 18 wins, 1 Draw, 2 Losses

Title Achievements: 2 Time HLW World (Current Holder)

Andrew Lee

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/andrew_lee.jpg

Andrew Lee has had a mixed start to his HLW carear. Starting in April 2013 suffered a number of losses against HLW’s top men as he tried to stick a place with the big boys. The win never came and Lee was confined to making waves in the lower card. Recently Andrew Lee competed for and claimed the vacant HLW Hardcore Title.

Record: 4 wins, 5 Losses

Title Achievements: HLW Hardcore (Current Holder)

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/arthur_t_turtle.jpg

Half of Final Fantasy, with Gerry Kilbane

Arthur T. Turtle has enjoyed mixed success in HLW. The current 2 time HLW Tag-Team champions have enjoyed being a dominant force in the tag-team division. He has been forced of the joining The Commission despite being an obvious candidate for recruitment. It seems his ideals clash with HLW owner, Richard Garlick’s, plans for who he wants as the tag-team champions.

Record: 23 Wins, 19 Losses

Title Achievements: 2 Time Tag-Team (Current Holder with Gerry Kilbane)

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/beast_bantom.jpg

Member of The Commission

Beast Bantom made his debut in January 2011 in a win over Phil Cox. Bantom became a member of The Commission and took a role in teaming with other Commission members, namely The Landlord as an occasional partnership. Bantom’s name success was capturing the Regional title from Eric Future for all of two defences before Future reclaimed the belt.

Record: 11 Wins, 14 Losses

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/billy_robinson.jpg

Member of The Revolution

Billy Robinson has been a member of the HLW roster since September 2011. He claimed his first prize in HLW, the World title, in May 2012 in a Ladder match. He quickly allied himself with The Revolution. The Landlord would retake the title in 2013 before Robinson once again shone through and took the title for the second time.

Record: 19 Wins, 20 Losses

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/brilliant_white.jpg

Half of Prime Suspects, with Glen Ward

Brilliant White has little success in HLW since joining in May 2008. However, White has had a few chances at the HLW Regional title and has found some success teaming with Glen Ward.

Record: 8 Wins, 20 Losses

Title Achievements: None

Member of The Commission

Bruce is a recent addition to The Commission’s force. His only match so far is a win alongside fellow Commission member, Joss Thompson. He looks a force that could take them to claiming all the titles.

Record: 1 Win

Title Achievements: None

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/cannonball_logan.jpg

Half of Youth Bandits, with Ian Vincible

Logan’s team with Ian Vincible have found themselves searching for an answer. Only 2 wins to Logan’s name which came in 2008/2009 in his said tag-team prevent Logan being put on the scrapheap.

Record: 2 Wins, 19 Losses

Member of The Revolution

DBF is a new addition to The Revolution. So far he hasn’t made an impact, losing his opening match to Bruce and Joss Thompson.

Record: 1 Loss

Title Achievements: None

David Jones

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/david_jones.jpg

Member of The Commission, Half of Yr Tarw, with Paul Garlick

David Jones is one-half of Yr Tarw (The Bulls) alongside HLW Owner’s brother, Paul Garlick. David has had success both in tag and singles competition. The pair won the tag-team titles for a brief stint, which sparked a rivalry with Final Fantasy over the titles. David has had chances at the HLW Action title recently.

Record: 17 Wins, 1 Draw, 3 Losses

Title Achievements: HLW Tag-Team (with Paul Garlick)

Derrick Merrick

http://richygarlick.co.uk/hlw_dynasty/workers/newbacks/derrick_merrick.jpg

Member of The Revolution

Merrick was labelled a turncoat when he left The Commission and joined The Revolution. He donned a new name, Flamin’ Merrick, is light he wanted to burn his former stable mates. The turn has earned him slightly more respect but usually finds himself set aside when it comes to dealing with The Commission’s top brass.

Record: 16 Wins, 1 Draw, 21 Losses

Member of The Revolution

One of the HLW’s most successful competitors. Eric has never set himself too high a target and has held onto the Regional title for the most part of HLW’s history. A brief set-back saw him lose the title to Beast Bantom but he reclaimed the title shortly after and set an example for the rest of The Revolution to follow.

Record: 23 Wins, 6 Losses

FREAK is a Frenchman who has allied himself alongside fellow French competitors, the DuPonts. FREAK had a grand start of 7 wins. He has since found it hard to break through the HLW roster to make a name for himself.

Record: 9 Wins, 9 Losses

Harley has yet to find his role in The Commssion’s plans. Although inducted in September 2013, he has but won wins over lesser competition with the exception of Billy Robinson. He has been thrown against Adam Matravers on two occasions and come out second best both times.

The Welshman is the current HLW Action Champion. After a brief stint teaming with Rhys Vali as ‘The Dragon Warriors’ Neville has ventured into the singles ladder and found gold with the Action title. Neville, however, has his sights set higher and has been linked with fellow Welshmen, Yr Tarw.

Being brother of the boos has its advantages but Paul alongside David Jones has earned their own way on merit. Much success has come in both the tag-team division and singles ladder. Paul has recently attempted to take the HLW Regional title while still trying to reclaim the tag-team titles.

Psycho hasn’t had much of a good time in HLW, hes found himself losing most of his matches despite his obvious quality. As his career dwindles towards retirement, Psycho will be looking to make one last stand!

HLW Owner, Richard Garlick, has tried to mastermind control over the promotion beyond the aspects of fairness and equal opportunity. He's tried to install champions of his choosing throughout the promotion using some underhanded tactics.

The Revolution are a group of HLW competitors that have allied themselves together with the aim of preventing Richard Garlick from doing just that! They look to take the titles for themselves and thwart Garlick's plans for promotional domination.

The whole affair has led to an open war between the two factions. At present Adam Matravers' group hold two the titles, most importantly the HLW World title.

In an attempt to redeem The Commission's reputation, Garlick has created the HLW Immortal title. An accolade currently held by Walter Morgan.

HLW World Championship

Adam Matravers © vs. Bruce The Giant

By DQ I imagine, so Bruce stays looking strong

Cage War

The Commission vs. The Revolution

Not sure who is fighting in this match which makes it harder to call. I'll go with the Commission, seeing as The Revolution are taking the other two main matches in my head.

HLW Regional Championship

Eric Future © vs. Superstar Byron

Difficult to know where these two stand after all this time. Future seems to have a good record so I'll go with him, even though you'd expect Byron to be better normally.

HLW Hardcore Championship

Andrew Lee vs. Puffy

Puffy is quite new so I'll go with Lee to retain for now

Final Fantasy vs. The Foreign Legion

Even with FREAK in their corner, I don't see them beating Turtle & Kilbane
