ECW The Threat is Real

Note: This Diary is coming from another message forum board, so instead of just starting all the way over, I am just gonna give you brief recap on what happend. If you want to read what happen from the begining, here is the link to the original diary The old diary "Dreamers ECW" . P.S. when you first read it..you think...this aint ECW? Just bear with it. It gets better. ECW The Threat is Real The story takes place the first week in August, 2004. The morale of the locker room was definately declining over an extended period of time. But one individual, Tommy Laughlin grew tired of the atmosphere at WWE. Laughlin was known by another name... The Innovator of Violence, Tommy Dreamer! After WWE made a mockery of ECW by doing a series of matches that ECW made famous in the past, and then passing it off as if WWE made it up all along!! But what really made Dreamer furious was when the former ECW World Champion, was pretty much reduced to a "jobber" type status. Being fed up, he went to Talent Co-ordinator, Jim Ross, and he went to ask for his release which he was granted. But he wasnt leaving with out a plan... While Dreamer was working for WWE, he definately had a plan that no one would have thought up. With assistance from his wife, Buelah McGullicuty, they saved up a little more than 2 million dollars. Which was at Dreamer's advantage, due to the fact that WWE was releasing workers left and right, and was losing money at an alarming rate. When he approached the upper management about purchasing the name and rights to ECW, "someone" granted it to happen for 1 million dollars, but it would come back and haunt Dreamer later. After contacting a few fellow former ECW alumnists, and some wrestlers from other feds. But the shocking news was the former owner of ECW, Paul Heyman denied Dreamer, and said that he would have no part of Ressurecting ECW. ECW start doing some local shows..and then some Pay Per Views, and they even landed a deal on F/X for a 90 minute show. Dispite the sucess..WWE didnt feel they were a threat..until the "November To Remember" Pay Per View. When 5 of the "current" employees of WWE, Steve Austin, Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock), Mick Foley, Nova (aka Simon Dean), and Steven Richards who is now the ECW World Champion! WWE actually feeling threatend by this actually brought a lawsuit against Dreamer, stating that he purchased the name and right by illegal means. But when it was said and done, the judge sided with Dreamer and ECW, stating that even thought the higher management didnt know about the purchase..they knew about the money..which made the transaction valid. ECW didnt come out of this world unscathed. They lost their t.v. deal with F/X due to the lawsuit. And now they have a new ally in thier fight against WWE..... someone that no one would expect... (please comment)

Final Verdict January, 2005 The remainder of the year was not to nice for Tommy Dreamer and the ECW wrestling fed. After being served with a federal injunction by none other than Vince McMahon himself, he was not only barred from using the name "ECW", Extreme Championship Wrestling, or anything associated with it!! And things went from bad to worse...ECW T.V. deal with F/X was also "suspended" due to the pending lawsuit from the WWE!! So the entire month of December was complete hell for Dreamer. They couldnt produce any shows, so the December PPV, Massacre on 25th Street was cancelled. All workers on PPA contracts was given the option to still work other feds while being contracted under ECW...or leave ECW all together. The pressure of immenent failure was mounting on Dreamer....but all that was about to change. On the Jan 3, the catalyst of this whole ECW/WWE situation came to a head, with a shocking result. The judge came back with a ruling that despite the fact that WWE employee (person to be revealed later) had sold the name, rights and likeness of "ECW" to Dreamer, and the CEO and/or the Owner (Vince and Linda McMahon) didnt know about the purchase, but they company took the money that Dreamer money used to purchase "ECW", and the judge ruled that the purchase still stands. Dreamer didnt expect this ruling....but the story gets even more interesting. As with all wars, there was some casualties. WWE publically announced they lost 3 million dollars off the lawsuit. But ECW didnt go "Untouched", unlike WWE, Dreamer didnt announce anything to the public. But they suffered a huge finacial loss of 3 million dollars, and he loss some of his talent.. but..he would recieve a unexpected surprise that no one...not the WWE, ECW or Dreamer himself, would expect. As the rest of the ECW crew was celebrating in the locker room, Dreamer wasnt in the partying mood. As he went to go into his office.. again..he was not alone. Voice: It feels good to defeat a giant like WWE dont it? Dreamer: Well, Vince is like a bad case of Herpes..just when you think you got him beat, he comes back stronger than before. Voice: Did you ever wonder why you been getting stars from WWE? Did you ever think that you were recieving some "Help"? Dreamer: I knew that you wouldnt reject "us" for too long.. The "Voice" turns around in the chair..to reveal that he was none other than....PAUL HEYMAN!!! Heyman: Well, me and you are finally acheive a dream that I always wanted to come true for the last 10 years....THE DEATH OF WWE!!! Comments please!!

Extreme Alliance Tuesday, 1st Week of January Scene: In the meeting room of ECW, with Booking Team members, Jushin Lyger, Don Callis (aka Cyrus), Jinsei Shinzaki, and Raven. Also there are the Road Agents (Sabu, Steve Austin, Mick Foley) and Joey Styles and Dreamer's wife, Buelah McGullicuty. Dreamer: Look guys, I wanted to thank you for being with me and bringing back ECW to the status it is right now. Look alot of questions have being asked around the locker room and on the internet. Now granted we have a small legal victory over WWE, but ...have you thought about how did we beat them in court? I would like to introduce the man who helped us win our case! Paul Heyman enters the room. And he gets a mixed reaction. Some people are glad to see, and some were pissed...Buelah was one of the first ones to get in Heyman's @$$. Beulah: What are you doing here Paul? Tommy called you for help back in August, and you turned your back on him. So why should we trust you now? Paul: I know your mad at me..but there is a reason why. When I took that phone call from Tommy, I wasnt alone. Vince, Shane and Jim Ross was there and they were testing my "loyalty". I couldnt give off any impression that I wanted ECW to succeed. But there is something that none of you know. Raven: And what is that? Paul: Me and Dreamer have been planning this before he quit the WWE! Everyone: WHAT??? Dreamer: Paul and I knew that WWE was in some finacial trouble for some time. With that lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund. And then being dropped from Spike TV, and them going back to USA network for a fraction of the pay..I knew they would be hard up for cash. Heyman: And if you were wondering who was the one that took the money, without letting any of the McMahons in on it? It was me..but I made it look like Jim Ross was behind it! I knew that if they took us to court that would be an issue!! But the real icing on the cake was the influence I had on some of the wrestlers there. With being fed up certain "stars" power trips, lack of pushes and some pretty stupid storylines, like Nova, and Richards just to name a few. Dreamer: And when WWE found that their talent was leaving WWE for us..that what prompted the lawsuit. Austin: Leave it to Vince to be vindictive..but we better be ready for him to come back with a, no pun intended, Vengence. Heyman: Well we have a few more stars that left...and I beleive they should debut within the few weeks...speaking of which, do we still have a t.v. show? Foley: Nope..still on suspension despite the fact that the lawsuit have been decided. Beulah: Then we have to shop around for a new "Hardcore Home" but for right now..we should do what we used to do in the old days. Cyrus: And what is that? Dreamer: We are gonna put a weekly PPV. Its risky..but its a chance we take. Heyman: Look its good to be back...another issue has come to my attention. Austin: What is that? Dreamer: I am stepping down as head booker, I want to continue my fued with Abyss...I think we can take this farther than November to Remember. Heyman: Whose gonna be the head booker? Dreamer: I have my eye on somebody, he hasnt been in the company long but what I saw in the ring a few weeks ago..he look promising. Of course..you can attest to that..cant you Jinsei? Jinsei gives a small laugh. Cyrus: Other fueds? Buelah: Well we should finish off the Styles/Daniels fued. I mean it wouldnt make no sense to leave it open especially after November to Remember main event. Dreamer: Also I am thinking of doing a Raven/Lionheart Jericho fued.. that was a perfect set up when Scott (Raven) eliminated Jericho at the fatal 4 way. Heyman: Well those are some good starts. Looks like I better get on the phone and call the cable companies...and start preping shows. As Heyman leaves the room, Buelah stops him.. Buelah: Paul..its good to have you back. Maybe I was wrong about you..... -Who will be the new head booker of ECW? -Who are some of the surprises for ECW? All this and more on Collateral Damage on PPV!!! (Every Thursday on PPV.) Please comment.. Thanks

Collateral Damage- Thursday, Week 1-Jan 05 Thursday; 1 Week of January Collateral Damage Joey Styles: Welcome everyone to ECW's Collateral Damage!! I am the "Voice" of ECW Joey Styles and I am joined by Broadcast College, Joel Gertner, and it seems that we have a new Broadcast partner... The theme song for ECW "This is Extreme" by Harry Slash plays and its none other than Paul Heyman!! Heyman comes out to a HUGE pop, even though he is supposed to be heel. He act like a face for a moment to shake hands with Styles and Gertner! Heyman:It good to be back in the house that "Heyman" built!!! Well tonight we have show just for you ECW freaks out there!! Coming to you live from the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey!! Tonight we have the self professed "Greatest T.V. Champion" in ECW tonight in action! But he has a mystery match against any former ECW Champion! Styles: Also tonight we are gonna have a November to Remember rematch between Elix Skipper and Low Ki vs The NBS, Rainman and Homicide! And yes the titles are on the line! Gertner: And we dont have just one main event...WE HAVE TWO!! First one is The Lionheart Chris Jericho vs Raven! In the Fatal 4 Way back at November to Remember, Raven eliminated Jericho, but then he returned the favor by distracting Raven, which cause Raven to be eliminated by Chris Daniels. Now this fued has intensified..and such a short amount of time!! Heyman: And speaking of Chris Daniels, he has his hands full tonight as he goes up his former "enforcer" of the Dark Church, Brock Lesnar! Styles: This was inevitable! After Raven beat Lesnar in a Raven's rules match, the flock helped secure Raven's victory, but no one from the Church helped Lesnar! So tonight Lesnar gets his chance to take out his frustration out on Daniels!!! Heyman: So get ready to get EXTREME!! (Commercial) EZ Money vs ?? ECW T.V. Title Match We see Money in the ring waiting for his opponent, and the referee suddenly takes the belt from Money and puts it on a wire, and then "Vitamin R" by Chevelle plays and its none other then the Blood Red haired freak, MIKEY WHIPWRECK!! And he comes out with a ladder. So guess what?? We have a ladder match!! Money might be at a advantage or disadvantage because he just had a ladder match with Super Crazy back at N2R! Well both men took it to each other. The match turned when Whipwreck did the "Frankenmikey" off the top rope and made Money land on the ladder! But Money got the offense back by hitting the Money Bomb (Supex into a Power Bomb) on the ladder! The ending came at 11:12 when Money hit a vicious Money Clip out of nowhere! And he tried to go up, Super Crazy came down and did a Spring board Dropkick of his own...knocking down down Money. But Kash interfered and attacked Crazy! Then the most shocking moment of Money's life occured...when "Walk" from Pantera starts to play in the arena!! Styles: That cant be...is it who I think it is.... We see Bill Alfonso walk down the rampway..but little does Money know that RVD is behind him on the ring apron and does a Spring Board Jump kick!!! Bill Alfonso enters the ring and throws a chair at Money's face, and RVD does the Van Daminator!! Then Whipwreck gets up and hits the Whippersnapper and climbs the ladder the new ECW T.V. Champion!! Winner and New ECW T.V. Champion: Mikey Whipwreck Rating: B (Commercial) We come back from commercial and see Christopher Daniels in the middle of the ring. Daniels: You know what I am gonna cut to the chase. I am getting sick and tired of A.J. Styles!!! Week after week, he is like a ****roach getting in my business!! So you know what? I am gonna put up $50,000 of my own money so who ever is man enough to get rid of my problems...and step up to the challenge. This money is as good as theirs!! Rating: B Triple X (Low Ki/Elix Skipper) vs NBS (Homicide/Rainman) w/Julius Smokes For the ECW Tag Team titles Like mentioned earlier, this was a rematch from November to Remember, and Triple X definately had their game faces on. And they almost won too. With Elix Skipper's "Skywalker" and Low Ki's Ki Crusher '99 on Rainman, they almost won the tag team titles, but with Smokes interference, Homicide pushed Skipper into Low Ki, and he quickly hit the "Copkilla" on Ki for the win. Afterwards Skipper and Low Ki argue... Winner and Still ECW Tag team champions: NBS (Commercial) Super Crazy vs Kid Kash. You thought that this match would have heated up after the altercation from earlier, but these two guys didnt click at all which made the match less spectatular. In the end, Kid Kash stole a victory from Crazy after Money came in and blasted Crazy with a chair. After the match, Money and Kash beat Crazy mercilessly! Winner: Kid Kash Rating C+ Interview with Rob Van Dam Styles: I am here with the Greatest T.V. champion there is, ROB VAN DAM!! My first question is why did you attack Money and not challenge him for his T.V. title? Van Dam: Simple. Everyone knows that the greatest ECW T.V. Champion is "R V D!!"(Does the pointing to himself with thumbs gestures). I mean honestly I heald that title for almost 2 years straight! When I call myself the "Whole F'n Show" I dont call myself that as a gimmick, I am the real deal!! Styles: Why didnt you go after the T.V. title?? Van Dam: Whats left to prove on the T.V. title? And the same with the Tag team titles. There is only one title I am after....The ECW World Title! I dont care who I have to go thru to get it....Becuase I am the Whole F**king Show!!! Rating: B (Commercial) "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels w/"The Sinister Minister" James Mitchell vs Brock Lesnar Lesnar has been waiting for this moment since possibly the October PPV, Devil's Night, when Daniels betrayed Lesnar! And boy did Lesnar make Daniels Pay! He overpowered Daniels and got him various submission holds, only to release the hold...clearly he wanted the Fallen Angel to suffer! At 11:35, Lesnar set up for the "Final Decent" (Formerly the F-5, dont wanna get re-sued now do we?) And as he went for the cover, the lights went off. When the lights came back on, we see a huge man with his face being covered, attacking Lesnar and even at one point bloodying him up! Then he finished him off with the "Demon Bomb". Then he woke Daniels up, and Daniels hit the BME (Best Moonsault Ever) for the win. After the match, Mitchell revealed that the man was the newest "Deacon" and Enforcer of the Dark Church! When he removed the hood, he was revealed to be none other than............................................................................................. David Bautista!!!! Rating: C+ (Lesnar wasnt particulaly happy about having to lose to Christopher Daniels, which affected the match!) (Commercial) We see ECW World Champion, Steven Richards walk around the backstage area when suddenly he is blindsided by Steve Corino!! He viciously attacks him, and then he picks up Richards title. Corino: I hope you enjoy this while you can, because soon this title will be coming home ...to its RIGHTFUL OWNER!!! Rating: B We see Jericho run into Raven in the backstage area. Jericho: Well Well, if it isnt the walking public service announcement for Prozac!! For years I have been having to hear "What about Raven?" What about you? Raven: You know what pretty boy? You sit around here blaming me for your quick and sudden downfall at November to Remember! And now you want to further your suffering by facing me tonight!? And suffering the same fate as last time? Your Doom will be assured and absolute....QUOTE THE RAVEN.....NEVERMORE!!! They do an intense staredown at each other as they go to commercial. Rating :A Raven vs "Lionheart" Chris Jericho This match was so good..IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON A PPV!! (Oh wait a minute...this is a pay per view!!) It was even more surprising to see how technical Raven is, and how much hardcore Jericho is! It went back and forth with both men hitting thier signature moves with Raven doing the drop toe hold on the chair, and Jericho hitting the Bulldog on the chair! But when both men tried for thier finishers, they couldnt finish each other off!! Raven did the Evenflow DDT on the Chair, only for a two count, and then later on Jericho tried for the "Liontamer" only for it to be broken by Raven reaching the ropes! The match ended at 17:34, when Raven tried for another Evenflow, but Jericho countered and hit a lowblow, followed by a Lionsault and held the tights for the win! Jericho high tailed out of the ring, while Raven shouted vulgarities at him!! Results:A Mikey Whipwreck def. EZ Money to become new ECW T.V. Champion NBS def. Triple X to Retain ECW Tag Team Titles Kid Kash def. Super Crazy "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels def. Brock Lesnar "Lionheart" Chris Jericho def. Raven Total Rating: B+ Attendance:9,906 (Please comment)

Collateral Damage - Week 2 January, Week 2 Location: Continental Airlines Arena; Rutherford, New Jersey The scene opens up with the crowd chanting "ECW, ECW!!!" and we see Paul Heyman come out to the ring to a huge pop!! Paul: Good Evening! I am regret to inform you that due to contractual agreements with other wrestling promotions, the following matches will not occur tonight, the CM Punk debut match and the Falls count anywhere match with Sonjay Dutt/?? vs Lethal Assassins. These matches will occur next week on Pay Per View. Money will be refunded for tickets if need be. Thank you very much! "The White Angel" Jinsei Shinzaki vs The Amazing Red. Pretty good opener match, despite different styles of fighting. With highflying moves and impressive counters. the match came to an end at 11:01 when Shinzaki tried to finish off Red with the "Praying Thunderbomb" only to have it countered into a Swinging DDT, and then a Red Star Press for the win. Winner: The Amazing Red Rating: B Angle: We see the newly crowned T.V. Champion Mikey Whipwreck walking backstage with his title when suddenly he is attacked by KashMoney (EZ Money and Kid Kash) but he was saved by none other than Super Crazy! Rating: C (I guess the crowd wasnt feeling this angle) Kazarian/Shane vs The SAT This match was personal for Micheal Shane and Frankie Kazarian, becuase the SAT's made their debut off of Shane/Kazarian's expense back at the last PPV, when they saved thier cousin, The Amazing Red from a royal beatdown! This was a very high paced match with high flying tag team moves, but the end came at 8:48 when the SAT's tried to hit the Spanish Fly but Shane attacked Joel knocking him down off the turnbuckle, which caused Kazarian to hit the "Wave of the Future" for the win! I dont think this settled anything.... Rating: B- Angle: We see AJ Styles warming up in the backstage locker room and there is a sudden knock on the door. And then Styles is knocked out on the floor. But who did it? Rating: B- Homicide/?? vs The Hart Foundation 2k5 (Evans/Hart) Homicide said that his tag team partner could not compete due to a "groin injury" and his partner tonight was none other than...... Ruckus!!! This was an interesting choice, due to the fact that Evans and Ruckus have been fight each other a few weeks ago, having a victory over Evans! It was an all out brawl when Ruckus and Evans in the ring with each other, with both hitting thier moves on each other, Evans hitting the "Ode to Blitzkrieg" and Ruckus hitting the Razzle Dazzle on Hart! And Homicide and Hart was not to be outshined because surprisingly, Homicide is very technical and he took Hart to the limit..as did Hart. The finish came at 10:50 when all 4 men brawled to the outside, but Homicide made it back in before the 10 count! Winner By Countout: Homicide and Ruckus Rating:C Hype Video: Next week on Collateral Damage: Abyss vs Tommy Dreamer appearantly the battle on N2R didnt settle anything!! Rating: C 2 Cold Scorpio vs Jeff Hardy It was the return of the "Funky Flyer" and who better than for Scorpio to face than Jeff Hardy? Even though we havent seen Scorpio in a while..it seems that he hasnt lost a step and he took the "youngster" to school. With both men doing a "can you top this" mentallity. Hardy hit the "Twisted fate" but only for a two count. Then Scorpio hit a roundhouse kick and hit the "Tumbleweed" but also for the 2. The conclusion of the match occured when Hardy tried for a "Swanton" but missed, and who would come down and ruin the match? Sean Waltman and Justin Credible!! Waltman would take out Hardy with the Sitdown face driver (havent come up with a name yet), Credible took out Scorpio with the "That's Incredible" and they did thier poses in the ring!! Winner: Double DQ by interference Rating: B Interview with Steve Corino Conducted by Joey Styles Corino starts off the interview saying that he had nothing to do with AJ Styles attack earlier. And he also calls him "Small Potatoes", saying that he's eyes are on a bigger agenda, the reclaiming of the ECW World Title. And Steven Richards is his target, as he showed last week. And he also hypes up the match between him and AJ. Rating:B Jerry Lynn (c) vs Jushin Thunder Lyger for the X.C. Title Lyger wanted Lynn so badly that he sent Cyrus to the back! And boy was this match tore the roof off the arena! Clearly this being the match of the night, both men took each other to the limit as clearly this was better than their last meeting at November to Remember, and the stakes we clearly higher! Lyger hit a Lyger Bomb, but only for a two count. Lynn then hit the Cradle Piledriver on a chair, but by some reason..Lyger kickedd out! Then at 10:32, Lyger tried for a Brainbuster off the top rope..but Lynn reveresed it and hit the TKO off the top rope and on to the chair from earlier for the win!! with Beautiful Chemistry and the crowd was clearly into this match; the crowd clearly chanted "MATCH OF THE YEAR!!" (SORRY ROH ;)) Winner and still X.C. Champion: Jerry Lynn Rating: A* Angle: We see Jericho walking back stage bragging to everyone within an earshot that he is the greatest wrestler ever, since beating Raven. But little did he know that Raven was behind him and Raven attacks him viciously finishing him off with the Evenflow on to the concrete floor! Then he does the cruicifix pose!! Rating: B+ A.J. Styles vs Steve Corino Clearly AJ was at a disadvantage from the attack earlierl, but he faught on! Corino tried to go for the wound on AJ Styles head. And he did various submssions on his head but Styles would quit. Then being busted open again, Styles came back and did his patented Springboard Flip into a reverse DDT! And then he did his Brainbuster on Corino! Styles then signaled for the end when he tried for the Styles Clash! But then two unidentified men enter the ring and attacked Styles! Styles tried to fight them off..but they were two much as they did a familiar tag team finisher....an elevated neck breaker...otherwise known as a 3D!!! Joey: OH MY GOD..IT CANT BE THEM..ITS ...THE DAMN DUDLEYS!! They are back IN ECW!!! WHAT THE HELL!!??? Bubba Ray and D-Von raised thier hands in the 3 fingered motion. Corino took advantage of this and did the "Old School Expulsion" on a limp AJ Styles for the win. After the match who would come out and rub it in? Chris Daniels! He goes to mentioned, that Styles got exactly what he deserved...but the funny part was...THESE WASNT THE GUYS WHO HE PAID TO TAKE OUT STYLES!! And his assassin is still out there!! Winner: Steve Corino Rating: B+ Show Rating: B+ Attendence: 15,505 people PPV Buyrate: 7,587 Notes: Popularity Increased! (Please Comment)

You know I enjoy the shows and your creativity. But I was upset to see Heyman go soft. I'm a huge CM Punk fan but I'm thinking a no show would make Paul E. go nuts a la the Sabu incidnet when Sabu had a handshake agreement to be at some ECW event and decided to work another promotion instead. Still good job on the card. Your hard work is paying off and I truly believe Lyger v Lynn would be match of the year but its great a small venue like ECW can capture the atmosphere of fans involvement in such a great match.
