AI popularity question

In my current USPW game I have a pop of ~74.4% all across the US. SWF is bouncing back and forth between cult and global. But while I am losing 0.1 points for every show with a B grade I produce, they are gaining pop and just got back to global even though they are putting up shows with grades between D and B. So my question is: Is pop gain for the AI calculated differently or am I missing out on something?

Shouldn't be different their B's are probably high B's and yours are low ones plus they still have areas giving them C+ importance while you need much more.

But their B ratings are by far the minority. They produce far more D shows than B and yet they still gain pop.

Are the D shows on a televised "A" show? If so then yeah wierd stuff.

AI usually got higher popularity grades. In my game I have never reached past the 87.5 barrier mark, while PGHW seems to be reaching up 88.8 im my game:mad:

 

Guess its the game's way of evening up with the more experienced players:)
