This week Monday Night RAW debuts in a whole new way as it is the first week after the infamous Brand Split! RAW General Manager Ric Flair has promised a big debut show with the promise of "all of the top RAW Stars battling it out live (Only like RAW can bring it) on the number one brand in Sports Entertainment!". Flair has promised these FOUR huge matches for the debut of RAW:

http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/Titles/WWFIntercontinental.jpg

http://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_X-Pac.jpghttp://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_RobVanDam.jpg

The Main Event promises to bring high-flying/adrenaline pumping action directly to RAW as NWO Member X-Pac challenges the "Whole F'N Show" Rob Van Dam for the WWF Intercontinental Title. Flair has thrown a twist to the Intercontinental Title Match this week by having Kevin Nash and Scott Hall barred from the ringside area. The NWO are always tricksters but can they find a way to come out of this match victorious?

http://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_CurtHennig.jpghttp://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_BigBossman.jpghttp://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_JeffHardy.jpghttp://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_MattHardy.jpg

Tag Team action has been signed as well as the unlikely duo of Mr. Perfect and the Big Bossman take on fan favorite Tag Team The Hardy Boys. The Hardys lasted through the Invasion and the Brand Split but can they handle a Tag Team with over 20 years combined experience?

http://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_RavenWWE1.jpg

Ric Flair has signed on for Raven to take on all-comers in a Hardcore open challenge match. In an interesting move as the General Manager Flair has stated the 24/7 rule of old is over and the Hardcore Title will now be treated more and more like a legitimate belt. A lot of the wrestlers within the RAW Brand contacted Flair over this ruling and he informed them there would still be a chance to get one last title shot under the 24/7 Rule as he has informed the WWF RAW Roster that they will have one chance to get a WWF Hardcore Title shot this week on RAW!

http://s535.photobucket.com/albums/ee351/joshuamont/WWF%20Smackdown%20vs%20RAW/th_BrockLesnar.jpg

"The destructive path of Brock Lesnar begins" according to Paul Heyman when asked about Brock's debut match this week on RAW. Ric Flair has ordered the Brock Lesnar step up to the plate and live up to his potential this week as he has booked Brock in a singles match against an unnamed opponent. Not much is known about Mr. Lesnar except his huge size, impressive amatuer background and his ability to "BRING THE PAIN".

RAW Quick Picks:

X-Pac vs. Rob Van Dam

The Hardy Boys vs. Mr. Perfect and Rob Van Dam

Hardcore Title Challenge:

Raven vs. Whoever Accepts

Brock Lesnar vs. ???

X-Pac vs. Rob Van Dam

No reason for RVD to lose yet

The Hardy Boys vs. Mr. Perfect & Big Bossman

Hardy Boys win, but I smell shenanigans from Perfect.

Raven vs. ???

Raven is bad ass. And when he does lose the belt, it should be big.

Brock Lesnar vs. ???

C'mon, it's Brock. No reason for him to lose yet.

-----The first ever episode of Ric Flair's RAW opens up with the Undertaker standing in the ring with an upset look on his face. Undertaker explains how he is the number one wrestler on RAW and how he should be facing Triple H for the WWF Undisputed Championship at WWF Backlash. After a while Kane emerges from the back and makes his way to the ring with Undertaker standing there dumbfounded by the fact that someone had enough guts to interrupt his microphone time. Kane grabs a microphone and expresses his wishes to be put in a title match against Triple H. Kane and Undertaker have a brotherly argument for a little while until RAW General Manager Ric Flair emerges from the back and tells both men they will have an oppurtunity to wrestle Triple H for the WWF Undisputed Championship at Backlash. Undertaker clearly confused by this asks Flair what he means... Flair responds quickly with a "Tonight in the Main Event! Undertaker vs. Kane for the Number 1 Contendership" line and the Main Event is set.

RAW Recap: Undertaker comes out, whines, Kane comes out, bickering, Ric Flair comes out and Main Event of Kane vs. Undertaker is signed!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Justin Credible vs. Perry Saturn

Credible and Saturn open up the show (Wrestling wise) with a pretty good evenly paced jobber vs. slightly better than jobber match (Which the crowd wasn't happy about seeing). Not a lot needs to mentioned other than Perry Saturn making Justin Credible cry like a little girl whenever he locked in the Rings of Saturn on Credible and made him tap out.

RAW Recap: Perry Saturn makes quick work of Justin Credible in a match that the crowd could care less about even though it was a decent showing.

-----At the conclusion of the match we cut to a shot of the backstage area where Undertaker and Kevin Kelley are waiting. Undertaker expresses his anger over the fact that he has to prove he is worthy of wrestling Triple H at Backlash. Taker then questions Kevin Kelley's amount of respect for him before pushing the much weaker announcer down and leaving the interview area.

RAW Recap: Undertaker is pissed that he has to wrestle Kane because he deserves to have a title shot handed to him... for good measure he punches out that bitch Kevin Kelley.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Brock Lesnar (With Paul Heyman) vs. Crash Holly

After the commercial break we return to ringside to see Brock Lesnar waiting in the ring with his manager Paul Heyman for his opponent for the evening. From the back emerges a mountain of a man known as Crash Holly. Holly charges the ring, comes in, hits Brock four times with his fist, goes for a cross-bodyblock, its reversed into a Powerslam, Brock Triple Powerboms Holly after the Powerslam and then Brock lays out Holly with the F-5. END... FAIL.

RAW Recap: Lesnar kills Holly is less than one minute.

-----After the technical wrestling classic of Holly vs. Lesnar comes to an end Brock Lesnar refuses to quit beating down Crash Holly. He repeatedly picks up the young Holly and does a plethora of big/mean/scary big-man powermoves to him (Powerbombs, Chokeslams and Bearhugs OH MY!). Well that **** comes to an end pretty fast as the Dudley Boys (Who have been heels for quite some time?) come to the ring and rescue young Crash Holly from a severe beatdown. Lesnar and Heyman leave the ring with the damage already done as D-Von and Bubba Ray check on Crash Holly.

RAW Recap: Brock kills Holly, Dudleys save Holly, Heyman and Brock leave the ring to go get a steak dinner

COMMERCIAL BREAK

WWF Hardcore Title Match:

Raven © vs. Spike Dudley vs. D'Lo Brown vs. Bradshaw vs. Tommy Dreamer

Typical 5 way cluster with a bunch of weapons... fun match. Everyone got an even amount of offense in. D'Lo was eliminated first after Bradshaw nailed him with a Clothesline to Hell... Spike Dudley was soon to follow whenever he was DDT'd onto an open chair by Raven... Bradshaw would be eliminated next with a Death Valler Driver on the outside by Dreamer... just when it seemed like Raven was gonna get taken care of by Dreamer he snuck away with the win by rolling up Dreamer and holding the tights.

RAW Recap: Raven wins the Fustercluck for the WWF Hardcore Title.

-----Following the match Raven escapes through the crowd as Tommy Dreamer looks on frustrated by the fact that he was "this close" to winning the WWF Hardcore Title from Raven.

RAW Recap: Tommy Dreamer is pissed about Raven cheating to win while Raven runs away through the crowd.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

The Hardy Boys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) vs. Mr. Perfect and Big Bossman

Good but basic old school tag team match between the company's top team (The Hardys) and a make-shift (But effective) team of veterans. Match starts off slow-paced with Matt Hardy and Mr. Perfect doing chain wrestling and reversing each other's moves at a pretty quick pace. After a while Bossman is tagged in along with Jeff Hardy... While it seems like Bossman and Jeff are going to do the same as Matt and Hennig at first... Bossman quickly puts an end to that rumour by beating the tar out of Jeff Hardy... the next few minutes Bossman and Perfect put the heat on Jeff with quick tags and nasty heel moves. Eventually Jeff is able to get the hot-tag to Matt Hardy who comes in on fire with lefts and rights to Perfect and Bossman. Matt hits a Twist of Fate on Perfect and tags out to Jeff, Jeff climbs up the turnbuckle and hits the SWANTON BOMB! However as soon as the move is hit Matt Hardy is back in the ring pinning Perfect!? The referee goes ahead and counts it and declares the Hardys the winner... on a replay it shows up that Matt Hardy blatantly tagged himself back in right before Jeff jumped for the Swanton Bomb!

RAW Recap: Matt and Jeff Hardy beat Perfect and Big Bossman after Matt Hardy steals the win from Jeff.

-----After the match Jeff Hardy is clearly upset with Matt Hardy over basically stealing the win from him... Matt tells Jeff it was a mistake on his part and had no intention on tagging him in. Jeff eventually calms down and hugs his brother. The Hardy Boys leave for the back as RAW goes to a commercial break.

RAW Recap: Trouble in Paradise?: The Story of a Blind Tag that made Jeff see!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

WWF Intercontinental Title Match:

Rob Van Dam © vs. X-Pac

RVD and X-Pac make there entrances as soon as the show comes back from the commercial break. X-Pac and RVD have a 100 miles per minute match throughout the entire match with back and forth moves and fancy reversals... very reminiscent of each mans encounters with Jerry Lynn back in the 90s. After about 15 minutes of solid wrestling X-Pac seems like he could have the victory when he goes up top for what looks to be a Top Rope X-Factor! Van Dam reverses by holding on to the Top Rope which sounds X-Pac facebumping to the mat... a few seconds later Van Dam comes off with a 5 Star Frog Splash to get the win over the NWO Member!

RAW Recap: Rob Van Dam and X-Pac put on a technically sound Intercontinental Title Match in what should've been the Main Event of the show. Rob Van Dam retains the IC Title.

-----As soon as the match comes to an end Kevin Nash and Scott Hall emerge from the back to rush the ring. Nash and Hall begin to lay a beatdown on RVD with strikes... Nash picks up RVD for the Jacknife Powerbomb until the unlikely duo of Booker T and Goldust run to the ring from the back to rescue him (WITH STEEL CHAIRS!). Nash, Hall and X-Pac bail and stay at ringside to talk there typical NWO ****. Ric Flair magically appears on the titantron and tells the NWO to not get to comfortable cause Nash and Hall have a match NEXT vs. Booker T and Goldust! OMG!

RAW Recap: Booker T and Goldust turn face by rescuing RVD from the NWO... Flair uses his wizard powers and makes a match between The NWO and BlackGold!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Booker T and Goldust vs. The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall)

The new faces on RAW Booker T and Goldust square off in a DANGEROUS improptu tag team match versus the Outsiders. Not quite as fast-paced as the Hardys vs. Bossman/Perfect (Who could expect anything involving Kevin Nash to be fast-paced?) but it was still a solid contest that the fans ate up. Goldust took most of the beating from the Outsiders until Booker T got the tag in and lit the place up by beating the **** out of Nash and Hall... It wasn't enough though as Nash put away Booker with the Jacknife Powerbomb followed by a blatant use of the ropes for leverage... After the match the NWO bailed as Goldust helped Booker T up to a nice pop from the crowd!

RAW Recap: Booker and Goldust lose to the dastardly NWO who cheated to win. Nobody is upset though because Goldust helped Booker T up after the match.

-----Although we were all under the impression that the NWO was playing nice by leaving after that **** they pulled with Booker... well... we thought wrong. The NWO came back to the ring (They are really pissing me off) and started beating down Goldust and Booker T by giving them Powerbombs, Outsiders Edges and whatever other moves the Outsiders enjoy doing... UNTIL... KANE AND THE BIG SHOW emerged from the back and ran off the NWO (For good this time) much to the delight of the crowd!

RAW Recap: The NWO lies about leaving, beats up Goldust and Booker T and then runs away when Kane and the Big Show get to the ring!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Winner Faces Triple H at Backlash

The Undertaker vs. Kane

HUGE MATCH! Kane and Undertaker beat the crap out of each other in a badass number 1 contenders match of epic proportions (I have to put it over huge... two 7 foot tall dudes who can work wrestling each other gets me hard). Undertaker of course gets the win due to wrestling laws stating Big Show and Kane are now feuding vs. The Outsiders. Sorry Kane! Seriously though... good match... Taker wins with a Tombstone at the 17 minute mark!

RAW Recap: BADASS! Taker! KANE! TAKER WINS!

-----To end a great week of RAW is WAR Triple H finally makes his presence known (He is the champ... he could've sat in the back the whole show if he wanted) by coming out and getting in Undertaker's face. Eventually about 542 security guards hit the ring and seperate both men... Ric Flair (This time in human form) comes to the ring and announces next week both men will be in the ring against each other... as Triple H will be tagging with a partner against Undertaker in a partner! Flair says there is more to the story though as each mans partner is a man who is not a RAW Superstar as of this moment. OMG!!!

RAW Recap: Hunter hits the ring, Undertaker and Hunter face off, Security seperates them, Flair comes out, announces ??? and Hunter vs. Undertaker and ???... CROWD ERUPTS!

Whenever someone gets a chance please read the show and leave some feedback... as you can tell I have switched to a very text heavy/semi comedy formating and I had a lot of fun with it... I hope people enjoy reading it... hopefully the lack of graphics isnt a turnoff!

-----Vince McMahon shakes things up this week with his very own brand new version of Smackdown! McMahon has promised a number of things to compete with Ric Flair's RAW! The following has been confirmed for this weeks very special edition of Smackdown:

Winners face Billy and Chuck at Backlash for the WWF Tag Team Titles:

Los Guerreros vs. The Zoo Crew (Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert) vs. Al Snow and Maven vs. Hardcore Holly and Diamond Dallas Page

In what is sure to be a tag team match of epic proportions Vince McMahon has signed on for 4 Teams to battle it out in the Main Event to decide what team is worthy of wrestling Billy and Chuck at the upcoming BACKLASH Pay Per View event. The experience factor definitely goes to Los Guerreros as they have experience all over the world teaming together. Which team will make it out of the Fatal Four Way Tag to Backlash to wrestle Billy and Chuck?!

Winner Faces Tajiri at Backlash for the WWF Cruiserweight Title:

The Hurricane vs. Billy Kidman

Two of the top cruiserweights in the world go head to head as Billy Kidman and the Hurricane square off to decide who is the best athlete to face Tajiri at Backlash. Many people have tipped the Hurricane as the better man in this match... but the young Kidman has a lot more to work for by being billed as the underdog plus we all know about his past with Tajiri's manager... TORRIE WILSON!

WWF European Title Match:

Farooq vs. William Regal ©

The European Title is put on the line as Farooq challenges William Regal in what is sure to be a great title match. Farooq has been wrestling mainly as a tag team competitor for quite some time... will this affect him as he goes toe to toe with William Regal?

PLUS Mr. McMahon has a huge announcement concerning Smackdown's lack of a Heavyweight Title Belt and promises many more surprises on the Number 1 Brand in Sports Entertainment!

-----The second ever (Although I consider it the first because **** that happened in the game before I took over doesn't matter) episode of WWF Smackdown opens up with a bang this week as Pyrotechnics and **** are flying everywhere... before the entire arena can explode though familar music hits the PA System as Chris Benoit (Definitely an unorthodox choice on my part to open the show) comes out from the back. Benoit makes his way to the ring to tell the fans that he is happy to be back in the World Wrestling Federation and on a brand with some of the best wrestlers in the world such as himself, Edge, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and others. Benoit then makes it known he would like entry into whatever match or tournament Vince McMahon plans on holding to crown a Smackdown World Champion... Vince McMahon makes an entrance with Kurt Angle by his side. McMahon comes to the ring and tells Benoit that Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan and many others have told him the same thing. He continues by telling Benoit that both him and Angle have a guaranteed spot in the concept he is developing to crown a champion and to not worry. Benoit looks annoyed and asks why McMahon is even out here then interrupting his return speech. McMahon informs Benoit its so he can find out his first match back is tonight... against Kurt ANGLE!!! Angle goes to attack Benoit but is quickly cut off by Benoit giving Angle a Belly to Belly Suplex... Angle and McMahon leave the ring quick with Chris Benoit looking mighty strong for his return. As McMahon is leaving he tells the audience tonight he will unveil his concept to the world on how Smackdown will achieve "World Title Status".

Smackdown REBOUND: Chris Benoit is proud to be back and on Smackdown were wrestling is awesome and so is Kurt Angle, Vince McMahon and the awesome Kurt Angle come out and talk some trash, McMahon says he has a concept to announce to the world regarding a Smackdown Title!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

*DURING THE COMMERCIAL*

Because Test isn't worth TV Time... during the commercial an angry roid-raging, hair-cut getting Test (NOW WITH SHORT HAIR!) bursts into Vince McMahon's office and demands to know why he isn't booked on the show tonight especially whenever he is more of a commodity than half the people on the show. McMahon tells Test to calm down (And get off the roids) and to go to the ring and he will have a match waiting for him. Test thanks McMahon and leaves quickly.

Smackdown REBOUND: During the commerical Test roid-raged on McMahon and got a match.

Test vs. "The Dancing Jobber" Tyson Dux

Test makes his entrance and waits patiently in the ring only for his opponent to be revealed as Tyson Dux... Dux gets put with cheesy dance music and runs to the ring... a few seconds later Dux is met with a big boot, a powerbomb, a chokeslam and a few other cheesy big guy power moves (Think Lesnar vs. Holly on Monday)... Test eventually puts away Dux with the Test Drive in a less than monumental match.

Smackdown Rebound: Tyson Dux makes $300 for a Pay Per Appearance Match and gets destroyed by Test! Everyone wins except for you the fan!

WWF Cruiserweight Championship Match:

Tajiri (With Torrie Wilson) vs. Funaki

Tajiri and Funaki put on a quick little match here to follow a pretty boring jobout before them. Tajiri and Funaki both act like babyfaces with a handshake and a bow to open up the match until... Funaki bows to Torrie Wilson which causes Tajiri to snap and begin putting boots to him... Funaki makes a few comebacks here and there but we all knew Tajiri wouldn't let anything to monumental happen. Tajiri eventually scores the win with his patented Buzzsaw Kick around the five minute mark!

Smackdown Rebound: Tajiri and Funaki have a badass match despite the fact that Funaki is looked at as a company jobber. Tajiri retains the title and is a little crazy.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

-----After the commercial Hardcore Holly bursts into DDP's personal locker room (He may have been made to look like a fool during the Invasion but he needs Yoga space). Holly tells DDP he is willing to put there obvious differences aside for now to concentrate on winning the WWF Tag Team Titles. DDP agrees and tells Holly teaming with him won't be a bad thing... IT'LL BE A GOOD THING! Holly tells DDP he is going to have to cut that crap out and focus on winning... the two shake hands as Holly looks frustrated at the thought of being DDP's friend.

Smackdown REBOUND: Hardcore Holly and DDP are now friends... and thats not a bad thing... ITS A GOOD THING (Because Holly won't be breaking DDP's neck anytime soon).

Winner Faces Tajiri for the Cruiserweight Title at BACKLASH!

Billy Kidman vs. The Hurricane

Billy Kidman and the Hurricane are up next in a "Lets go ahead and give the Cruiserweights there time on the show match so we can get to the boring Main Event between washed up big guys" match... except neither of these rules applied because the Main Event is Benoit vs. Angle (Neither washed up) and Kidman and the Hurricane were given a grand total of 8 Minutes INCLUDING ENTRANCES. Thats a lot for a Cruiserweight match between two people. Good back and forth match between two babyfaces... neither man had a real big advantage. Kidman ends up scoring the win at the 6 minute mark (DUH) with the Shooting Star Press to end a hard-fought match.

Smackdown Rebound: Billy Kidman is the man... Shooting Star Presses + Wearing Real Wrestling Gear= Career Rebirth

-----At the conclusion of the match WWF Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri and his lovely manager Torrie Wilson make there way to the ring. Tajiri enters the ring and offers Billy Kidman a handshake... Kidman (Remember FUNAKI) looks hesitant at first but eventually agrees to this incredible notion... Kidman and Tajiri raise each others hands for a moment. After this Kidman (Being a fool) goes over to Torrie Wilson and gives her a hug... which is followed by Tajiri kicking the **** out of Kidman as we cut to a commercial break!

Smackdown Rebound: Billy Kidman is no longer the man... hugging Tajiri's Girlfriend + Buzzsaw Kick= FAIL

COMMERCIAL BREAK

-----After the commercial break a video is shown of the Rock in Hollywood... at the conclusion of the video a graphic pops up on the screen saying the Rock is back next week!

Smackdown Rebound: Rock comes back to Smackdown next week... then he goes to WITCH MOUNTAIN! GO DEWEY!

WWF European Championship Match:

William Regal © vs. Farooq

Solid mid-card match between one of the world's best wrestlers (William Regal) and a competent enough wrestler who has enough charisma to not suck (Farooq). Match consisted of Farooq looking STRONG by throwing Regal around and Regal looking like a cheap bastard by cheating at every chance... Farooq looked like he had the win whenever he had Regal up for the Dominator but fate intervened and Christian and Lance Storm hit ringside... Storm distracted the referee and Christian distracted Farooq... this allowed Regal (CHEATER!) to nail Farooq with a Brass Knuckle shot and retain his European Championship!

Smackdown Rebound: Canada and England finally pay us back for years of being on top... Farooq loses!

-----Post-Match Farooq is attacked by William Regal, Lance Storm and Christian (Its like the NWO Angle on RAW but with FOREIGNERS!!) until Mark Henry (NATION REUNION!) and Val Venis (I mean... WWF 1999 Midcarder Reunion!) run out from the back to run off the Un-American scum (That is the name that will be announced next week during there promo). Vince McMahon (Having the same magic as Ric Flair) appears on the screen and tells Lance Storm that he will be wrestling Val Venis right after the commercial break (No Tag Match?! VINCE!)

Smackdown Rebound: Vince has voodoo magic like Flair... Canadian superstars wrestle each other right after...

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Lance Storm vs. Val Venis

We all know why this match is happening... Venis and Mark Henry randomly rescue Farooq from a Foreign Fest Beatdown, Vince McMahon makes the match and now the technical wrestling mark inside of me is happy. Good match with Storm staying on top most of the match by having Christian distract Venis (Mark Henry mainly stood there like a tard). In the end though good and AMERICA (Nevermind that Venis is Canadian) triumps when Venis hits Storm with a Blue Thunder Bomb! AMERICA **** YEAH!

Smackdown Rebound: GOOD MATCH! Venis wins with a move he hasn't given a porn name to yet!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Zoo Crew (2 Hotty and Albert) vs. Los Guerreros vs. DDP and Holly vs. Maven and Al Snow

Blah blah blah... 4 Way Tag Match... Dive Spot (Guerrero, 2 Hotty and Maven did Suicide Dives)... multiple big moves. Zoo Crew was eliminated first by Los Guerreros following a Superplex/Frog Splash Combo (RIP Art Barr), Guerreros were then eliminated when DDP and Holly hit a nice elevated Diamond Cutter on Chavo and finally Holly and DDP were eliminated by Maven and Al Snow when Maven hit his ultimate cheesy babyface Cross Bodyblock on Holly to get the win and a Tag Title Match at BACKLASH

Smackdown Rebound: Awesome 4 Way Tag, Holly and DDP are a good couple, Eddie deserves (And will get) better than Chavo and Maven needs a new finishing move!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

-----After the commercial break Vince McMahon makes his way back to the ring... he announces that Smackdown is in deep trouble when it comes to a World Title thanks to Ric Flair (Being a bastard) saying Triple H is exclusive to RAW and the Undisputed Title will stay there. McMahon says that he is about to have a disput with the Undisputed Title (OH NO HE DIDN'T) and has a surprise for Mr. Flair... Security comes down the ring wheeling something in a chest on a cart... McMahon meets them on the outside of the ring and opens up the chest to reveal Ric Flair's original Big Gold Belt! McMahon announes to the World that at Backlash the ultimate match will happen to crown the first ever WWF International Heavyweight Champion (Needed something besides World or just WWF Championship... if it was good enough for Rick Rude then I can live with it). McMahon continues to talk and announces there will not be a Tournament... instead 6 men will have there lives changed. McMahon says he would love to explain more but he has a better idea... *McMahon conjours up voodoo magic to show a video of the "Elimination Chamber" concept*... After the video is played McMahon announces the Six Men that will enter the Chamber live at the Backlash Pay Per View.. Kurt Angle, The Rock, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan and STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN! This sounds fine and dandy until Steve Austin makes his way from the back. Austin tells McMahon that when he signed his Smackdown contract he thought things would be different this time around... Perhaps McMahon might ask him before he decided to do things with him... Austin and McMahon have there typical I hate you bull**** fight with Austin giving McMahon the Stunner... After all this Austin announces that next week... RAW IS STONE COLD!

Smackdown Rebound: Vince has booked a 5 Way (Damn Austin) Elimination Chamber Match between The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle... we need one more guy. You wanna do it? Austin has jumped shift to RAW!

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit

Very good solid one on one match between two of the best Heavyweights in the World. Neither man had a clear advantage throughout the whole match as it was truly a "can you top this" techincal wrestling match. Angle hits a German Suplex, Benoit hits two, Angle hits the Angle Slam, Benoit gets his foot on the rope and so on and so forth. The match ended up going to a respectable 20 Minute Time Limit Draw.

Smackdown Rebound: Badass Match... RAW < Smackdown. Time Limit Draw!

-----To end Smackdown Chris Jericho comes down to the ring to interrupt what could've been a special moment in the careers of Benoit and Angle... Jericho calls both of them cowards and says he knows he should be the WWF International Heavyweight Champion. Jericho, Benoit and Angle face off in a Technical wrestling jizzfest until Hulk Hogan comes out to the ring and joins the fray... Four Way Brawl (The Rock is to cool to be here and God knows who will replace Austin) between the four men in the ring to close Smackdown!

Smackdown Rebound: Hogan can't work and Jericho thinks Benoit is a coward!

WWF Notes and News for the first week of April 2002 (Sunday Week 1)

  1. New Announcers: Sunday Night Heat, Smackdown and Velocity have been blessed with new announce teams. After Michael Cole's less than stellar performances with Tazz he has been regulated to doing the commentary on Velocity alongside longtime WWF Employee Freebird Michael Hayes. Replacing Cole will be former ECW head commentator Joey Styles. RAW stays the same but its little sister show Sunday Night Heat gets a major face-lift as Johnathan Coachman is joined by former WCW Commentator Mike Tenay!

  2. New Talent: With the recent brand split there will be a surge of new talent on both brands (RAW and Smackdown). WWF.com has reported that former WWF Star K-Kwik (Ron Killings) has signed a deal and will be reporting to OVW to sharpen up on his skills before returning to the WWF. Independant standout CM Punk has inked a deal with the WWF and is reporting straight to developmental with HWA. Look for a few former WWF/ECW/WCW Stars to be given second chances in coming weeks as the rosters are currently in need of a major talent boost!

WWF Velocity Results for Week 1:

  • Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Tyson Dux
  • Mike Awesome defeated Albert (Before the match Paul Bearer revealed Mike Awesome as the next man he will be taking to the top)
  • Christian and Mark Henry went to a countout draw
  • Edge and Eddie Guerrero got into an argument backstage
  • Billy and Chuck retained the WWF Tag Team Titles against Edge and Rikishi after interference from Eddie Guerrero on Edge
