CZCW: Anatomy Of A Tidal Wave

Recommended Posts

Can I just say that CZCW hoodie is really impressive :)

Eric Anderson, Masked Cougar & Ángel De México vs. The American Flash & Rich And Famous

Score yourself another win, simply because you're with two mid-carders (at the very least) and the other team is three jobbers

Al Coleman vs. Jeremiah Moose

Coleman's probably done his punishment, so he'll get a win back, and Moose is part of the job squad anyway.

Matt Sparrow & Mikey James vs. Remmy Skye & Snap Dragon

One of those matches that could go either way. Are any proper teams going to form in CZCW ? As right now it seems to be singles guys thrown together and no really sticking with anyone.

Flying Jimmy Foxx © vs. Marc Speed - Coastal Zone Xtreme

Foxx continues to hold this title, until he is met with a stronger challenger, at least he's defending it on the main show this time.

Frankie Perez vs. Donnie J

Perez is just better and deserves a stronger push than the decidely average Donnie J. Only diary where I've seen him come kind of good is Casey's MAW one.

Fox Mask vs. Plague

I like both of them, but I would give the edge to Plague in terms of building a strong challenger for Phoenix.

Ultimate Phoenix © vs. Insane Machine - Coastal Zone Championship

Phoenix retains, as I feel he is heading towards a title defence against Plague.

I want that hoodie, YO!! :)

Eric Anderson, Masked Cougar & Ángel De México vs. The American Flash & Rich And Famous

I'm going with TK's reason. Plus your stats are increasing quite quickly.

Al Coleman vs. Jeremiah Moose

Jobber of the Year continues what he does best.

Matt Sparrow & Mikey James vs. Remmy Skye & Snap Dragon

Snap Dragon is my Super Dragon in my lil promotion so his team gets my vote.

Flying Jimmy Foxx © vs. Marc Speed - Coastal Zone Xtreme

With a main card defense I see FJC keeping the title.

Frankie Perez vs. Donnie J

Frankie P is the West Coast Darryl Devine, all the skills to be a player in just about any promotion.

Fox Mask vs. Plague

Fox Mask is the face of CZCW but I think Plague will be used as a strong challenger to Ultimate Pheonix.

Ultimate Phoenix © vs. Insane Machine

UP gets the obvious--but maybe alot closer than people might think--win.

I so liked tagging with Masked Cougar and Ángel De México as we took on The American Flash and Rich And Famous. A really fast-paced match with everyone getting atleast few moves done, with my Sky Twister Press finishing the match in 4:31 when I pinned Jake Idol to get the win. I just wish we could have longer matches!! Still, the match went okay and I was happy to be on the winning side..

Winners: Masked Cougar, Ángel De México and I (D)

Match #2: Al Coleman vs. Jeremiah Moose

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Al.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Jeremiah.jpg

Al got some payback with a win over Moose but I bet it's not going to satisfy him. He defeated Moose in just 4:04 by submission with the Ankle Brace. Short and not so good match I think. I felt like there would be something in store for these two, but I just couldn't yet figure out what.

Winner: Al Coleman (E)

Remmy Skye comes down to the ring with Snap. He takes the microphone and starts talking to the crowd and taunting Sparrow and James, before eventually getting interupted by them. They have a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone, until the argument turns physical and the match is on!! (D)

We opened the main show with a good tag team match. I don't know why or how but Matt and Mikey just clicked extremely well, their unpractised tag moves were so quick yet smooth. I have to ask Dad of what he thinks about them as a tag team.. It would be great to get a babyface team in CZCW. Unfortunately the chemistry wasn't enough as Remmy and Snap stole the win from Sparrow and James in 15:21 when Remmy defeated Mikey by pinfall, while he had his feet on the ropes for leverage. Albeit the loss, Matt and Mikey shook hands in agreement that they still performed extremely well as a tag team.

Winners: Remmy Skye & Snap Dragon (D)

As Matt and Mikey left the ring, Flying Jimmy Foxx entered it. He does a short promo, telling everyone that he will defeat Speed tonight and retain his title when suddenly Speed attacks him from behind and the match starts!! (D-)

Match #4: Flying Jimmy Foxx © vs. Marc Speed - Coastal Zone Xtreme

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Flying.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Marc.jpg

In another solid match we crowned a new champion as Speed was too aggressive and concentrated for the flashy Jimmy who tried slipping away from all the submission moves Speed locked on him. At first Speed targeted both hands and legs of Jimmy but as the match went on he begun concentrating more on the right hand of Foxx, twisting and turning it into diverse angles. Eventually Speed got the Cross Armbreaker locked on Foxx who tried to escape the move by first trying to block Speed from getting the arm extented completely and then trying to get into the ropes but soon the pain was too much and Foxx had no choice but to tap out in 12.38. Marc Speed wins the Coastal Zone Xtreme title as he deserves, he's one heck of a talent in my eyes.

Winner: Marc Speed (D)

Match #5: Frankie Perez vs. Donnie J

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Frankie.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Donnie.jpg

Another hard fought match saw Perez going over Donnie J in over fifteen minutes. Just like with Speed vs. Jimmy, Frankie had pinpointed one body part during the match, this time it was Donnie's back and we even saw something unusual, a nice bow and arrow lock from Perez. After a second P-Clutch attempt Donnie tapped out, losing to a better, younger and more talented Perez.

Winner: Frankie Perez (D+)

Ultimate Phoenix cuts a long promo hyping up his upcoming match with Insane Machine. The fans seem to really like Phoenix and his character as his promos have usually been the best thing during the events. I wish I could be that good someday.. Or that the fans would love, or hate me as much. (C)

Match #6: Fox Mask vs. Plague

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Fox.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Plague.jpg

Speaking of the best thing in the show.. This match was it, MOTN. Plague and Fox Mask, two Coastal Zone main eventers in an almost 30 minute match equals simply awesome. Add great chemistry in there and you got the best match of the year thus far. The match didn't have boring moments at all since these two went all out and even out-performed Ultimate Phoenix and Insane Machine who were up next, I felt sorry for the guys. Who would have thought that this match would steal the thunder from the Coastal Zone championship match? Anyways, in the end in this fantastic match Plague defeated Fox Mask in total time of 27:56 by pinfall with a second New Jersey Turnpike to get the win over the five time Coastal Zone Champion Fox Mask. The match was so good that the loss didn't even make Fox look bad.

Winner: Plague (C+)

Match #7: Ultimate Phoenix © vs. Insane Machine - Coastal Zone Championship

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Phoenix.jpg VS. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Insane.jpg

Like I said, I felt sorry for these two as they had some serious pressure going into the match: Busting their ass off in a very long match for the Coastal Zone Championship when Plague and Fox just blew the roof off just before this match. As the match went on the fans were still talking about the previous match and on top of that, I'm not sure if the fans bought Insane Machine as a serious threat to Phoenix since Plague was scheduled to face the winner of this match at Uprising, and since Phoenix is a face and Plague is a heel, it would be more logical than to have Insane Machine going against Plague. Eventually Ultimate Phoenix defeated Insane Machine in magnificent 36:50 by pinfall with the Phoenix Firebird Splash. Ultimate Phoenix makes defence number 3 of his Coastal Zone Championship title. The fans were slightly disappointed as this match wasn't as great as the Plague vs. Fox. It sure did deliver, it was a good match but sadly Phoenix and Insane just couldn't rise above the expectations.

Winner: Ultimate Phoenix (C-)

Overall Grade: D+

After the event I asked my Dad about the team of Sparrow and James, he had already talked to Dylan (Sidle) about it and he agreed, so from now on they will be a regular tag team in our roster, they'll be simply called "Sparrow & Dragon". To recap our tag division, we had Perez & Remmy as the champs, along with Rich And Famous (Jackpot Jordan and Jake Idol) and the newly formed Sparrow & Dragon. So just three teams.. The same amount of inactive teams that we had, such as Air Force 1 (Snap Dragon & Flying Jimmy Fox), Bittersweet Inc. (Insane Machine & Al Coleman) and the Lords Of Wrestling (Snap Dragon & Plague). Go figure.
