On Bravo!

Held live from New Orleans, LA.

Last week we all found out the main event for the upcoming WCW PPV Bash At The Beach, and boy is this going to be a great match. A WCW World Heavyweight & United States Championship 'Winner Take All' Match between the World Champ Booker T and the US Champion Shawn Michaels. Speaking of Michaels, the Heartbreak Kid gave a speech last week about his reasons for kicking Booker T in the chin as the Great American Bash went off the air, and in that speech he talked a lot about trusting others. Kind of ironic seeing how he has surrounded himself with apparently new stable mate Scott Steiner. WCW.com caught word of Michaels warning Steiner after Nitro last week that if he ever tries screwing him or Kevin Nash over, he should consider himself a dead man. Speaking of dead men, Diamond Dallas Page's career might be over at the Bash at the Beach if he can't defeat the rampaging Toro. Tonight DDP is in action to help warm himself up for the event and what just might be his last match ever in WCW. The #1 Contendership to the Cruiserweight Championship will also be on the line this Monday in a Fatal 4-Way, with the competitors listed as being Elix Skipper, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero Jr, and Billy Kidman. All of this action and much more this Monday on WCW Monday Night Nitro! Tune in to Bravo! at 10PM EST/9PM CST to catch all the action!

Bam Bam Bigelow v Shawn Stasiak

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BamBamBigelow.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnStasiak.jpg

In the opening match of Nitro this week, we've got Shawn Stasiak taking on the experienced veteran of Bam Bam Bigelow. Fresh off the heels of his first return victory to WCW, Shawn Stasiak looks to keep the momentum on his side and go for victory #2 in WCW. Problem is, he's got his work cut out for him with the larger opponent Bam Bam Bigelow. WCW.com interviewed Bigelow over the weekend and Bigelow stated that it was time for Bam Bam to get mean again, and that this match would be a turning point in BBB's career. Will Bam Bam get his first victory in awhile? Or will Stasiak roll along for victory #2?

'Fatal 4-Way for #1 Contendership to Cruiserweight Championship'

Billy Kidman v Chavo Guerrero Jr v Elix Skipper v Jamie Noble

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BillyKidman.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ChavoGuerreroJr.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ElixSkipper.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/JamieNoble.jpg

The #1 Contendership to the WCW Cruiserweight Championship is up for grabs yet again this week, with the winner getting a guarenteed 1-on-1 shot against champion Shane Helms. Chavo Guerrero, Elix Skipper, and Jamie Noble are all looking for retribution against each other, wanting to secure that title shot for themselves this time. Thing is, Billy Kidman has now thrown his name into the hat and plans on challenging Helms for the Cruiserweight Championship as well. And with the word Cruiserweight you know what to expect from these guys, a high-octane high-energy high-flying matchup that will leave your jaw hanging down to your feet! Tune in to Monday Night Nitro this Monday to witness these four fight tooth-and-nail for the #1 Contendership.

'Non-Title'

The Natural Born Thrillers © v Norman Smiley & AJ Styles

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ChuckPalumbo.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/SeanOHaire.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/NormanSmiley.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/AJStyles.jpg

This week on Nitro, the Natural Born Thrillers will be in non-title action against Norman Smiley and the speedy youngster AJ Styles. The NBTS chose to be in action this week so they can prepare for their upcoming title defense against Totally Buff at the Bash at the Beach. With the two of them still being completely focused on defending their titles, will the NBTs pick up a victory this week? Or will Norman Smiley & AJ Styles shock everyone by pinning the World Tag Team Champs? Tune in to Nitro to find out.

Diamond Dallas Page v Lance Storm

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/DiamondDallasPage.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/LanceStorm.jpg

This week on Nitro, Diamond Dallas Page finds himself in action against the Canadian technical master Lance Storm. Page has stated that he wants as much preparation as he can get heading into the Bash at the Beach, being his career is on the line against James Mitchell's monster Toro. But Lance Storm is also looking to get back into his winning ways and pick up a victory, getting him closer and closer to a potential United States Championship title shot down the road. With these two having a lot hanging in the balance in this match, who will get the win in this one? To find out, you gotta watch Nitro this Monday Night to watch all of the action!

'Non-Title'

Booker T © v Scott Steiner

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BookerT.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ScottSteiner.jpg

In this Great American Bash rematch, Booker T takes on Scott Steiner in non-title action. One week removed from Scott Steiner & Shawn Michaels defeating Booker T to secure a Title v Title match at Bash at the Beach, Booker T's looking forward to getting his hands on Steiner and pummeling him hard enough to send a message to Michaels. Question is, will Michaels and his partner Kevin Nash both show up to this match? Seeing as how they're apparently backing Scott Steiner now? But the World Champion has stated that he's ready if Nash or Michaels end up showing up, and won't even hesitate to floor either or of them. Who's going to get the edge and win this one? Booker T or Scott Steiner? Tune in to Nitro on Bravo! this Monday Night to find out!

Bam Bam Bigelow v Shawn Stasiak

-Bammer seems to be a glorified jobber here, and I think you've got plans for ol' Meat.

Billy Kidman v Chavo Guerrero Jr v Elix Skipper v Jamie Noble - #1 Contendership to WCW Cruiserweight Championship

-Kidman's probably the biggest star of the 4 at this point, so even though I personally think he's the worst wrestler of the 4, I'll go with him to earn the title shot.

The Natural Born Thrillers © v Norman Smiley & AJ Styles - Nontitle

-Non-title or not, there's no way the Thrillers can lose to this makeshift team.

Diamond Dallas Page v Lance Storm

-I'm thinking DDP's in-ring career is about to come to an end, so it only makes sense for him to put over a guy that I think could become one of your top heels down the road.

Booker T © v Scott Steiner - Nontitle

-Tough one to call; could go either way. Since it is non-title, I'll go with the Book-man getting screwed over by HBK.

Main Show

The New Orleans crowd looks absolutely syked to see WCW action tonight, as they're our loudest crowd yet as a red and blue pyro display erupts from the main stage. After ending it with one big hit of pyro, the camera then pans to the TitanTron which displays a WCW logo, we're then taken to our broudcasters for the night, Tony Schiavone and 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TonySchiavone.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/HulkHogan.jpg

Tony: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to New Orleans the home of Mardi Gras and for tonight, Monday Night Nitro! We're off the heels of the announcement of one of the biggest announcements made so far in the history of WCW. United States Champion Shawn Michaels will take on World Heavyweight Champion Booker T in a Winner Take-All Title match.

Hulk: That I can guarentee will be a great matchup at the Bash at the Beach in two weeks, and one half of that match will be in action tonight.

Tony: You've got that right Hogan, Booker T will be taking on Scott Steiner in a Great American Bash rematch, which will be a non-title match.

Hulk: And one thing's for sure Schiavone, Shawn Michaels will show up.

Tony: Who knows? The #1 Contendership to the WCW Cruiserweight Championship is on the line as well tonight.

Hulk: Ah yes, and people, don't blink when these four cruiserweights Elix Skipper, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero Jr, and Billy Kidman go for the title shot, the match could be over before you open your eyes.

Tony: And here comes Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner all coming down to the ring...

Hulk: This should be fun.

All three heels walk down to the ring to immense amounts of jeering from the crowds while on the walk down the ramp, Michaels gets hit with a beer bottle, he then goes face to face with the fan as he then gets in the ring with the other two. All three of them have microphones.

Nash: Introducing!...the new #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship and the United States Champion, 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels!

Steiner: Hey Kev I think you've got that wrong, let me rephrase that. Introducing the new World Heavyweight Champion 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels!

Michaels: There we go! Let me give a little acceptance speech...nah, tonight should be more of a celebration though New Orleans. Tonight is the beginning of the end of Booker T's World Heavyweight Title reign. Not only do I have these two guys backing me up come Bash at the Beach, but I'm definitely the greater athlete as well. I've been called the most prolific wrestler in the world, winning titles left and right, and two weeks from now in Miami it will be no different, I will win that WCW World Heavyweight Championship and I plan on keeping it until I retire. Tonight, I'm sending in this guy right here *points to Steiner* to start the demolition of Booker's title reign. Scotty here has more experience against Booker then me or Kevin here, so he knows what to watch for from him. Which means I'm already dissecting your game plan for Bash at the Beach already Booker, I...

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BookerT.jpg

Booker: You haven't done jack!...

World Heavyweight Champion Booker T then comes out and stands on the entrance ramp with a microphone.

Booker: Congratulations Shawn, you're the #1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. You really think it's going to be that easy come Bash at the Beach?! I never defended this here championship by going out and using the same strategy every week. How else can I have been a Four-Time! Four-Time! Four-Time! Four-Time WCW World Heavyweight Champion!? Michaels, here's a brief warning to you before I go warmup for my match, even the most confident people who've challenged me for the World Heavyweight Championship, have all fallen before me. Consider that your warning.

Bam Bam Bigelow v Shawn Stasiak

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BamBamBigelow.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnStasiak.jpg

- Nice lockup at the beginning with Stasiak managing to grab control of the match.

- That control quickly goes to Bam Bam though who locks Stasiak in a standing headlock.

- Stasiak soon manages to escape as he then hits some chops to Bam Bam.

- Stasiak now holds control of the match.

- Stasiak goes on to dominate for awhile until he finishes this thing off with a Running Powerslam.

Winner: Shawn Stasiak in 5:58 C+

- Meh, short and decent.

Tony: So Shawn Stasiak picks up his second win on Monday Night Nitro, wonder if he's going to enjoy a little winning streak.

Hulk: Who knows? He's looking dominant, so I wouldn't bet my money against it.

Tony: And here comes Stasiak with a mic...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnStasiak.jpg

Stasiak: Once again you all have just witnessed the future of professional wrestling! I will single-handedly lead World Championship Wrestling back to the top of the professional wrestling world! To anyone who still believes that Booker T, Sting, and Shawn Michaels will carry this promotion back to the top of it's business is a fool. And anyone who thinks some of these over-the-hill 'legends' like Hulk Hogan here are still their heroes they're dead wrong, the future is coming, in the form of Shawn Stasiak...

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/KyKy/J%20Images/Jim_Duggan6.jpg

Duggan: Now who are you calling over-the-hill?

The fans give Jim Duggan a moderate-sized applause as he stands on the entrance ramp addressing Stasiak.

Duggan: If it weren't for people like me or Hulk Hogan there would be no professional wrestling! We were the ones who already brought it to the top, only people like you just carry it.

Stasiak: Duggan, what the hell are you doing here? Weren't you fired?

Duggan: I came back because I grew tired of sitting at home and watching you claim to be the future, you want to know who decides who the future is in this business? Thousands upon thousands of fans like these are who made us great.

Stasiak: Who gives a rat's ass about these fans? They're fickle Duggan, and they'll turn on you in a split second. Now get the hell out of my arena!

Duggan: How about you come down here and make me? Or wait even a better idea, how about we settle this little argument at the Bash at the Beach!

Stasiak: Duggan you're crazier then you look, you're on!

C+

Tony: So I guess 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan v Shawn Stasiak is official for the Bash at the Beach.

Hulk: Before I was a little supporter of this Stasiak fella, now he's just startin' to piss me off. Duggan's right, we were the ones who helped shape the world of professional wrestling.

Tony: And I alongside millions of others thank you for that Hulk.

- Kidman basement dropkicks Noble out of the ring as he then heads up top...

- Shooting Star Press connects on Skipper! 1...2...3!

Winner and new #1 Contender: Billy Kidman in 12:18 C+

- Thought it could've been better, but meh, what can you do.

Tony: And there's our new #1 Contender for the Cruiserweight Title, Billy Kidman!

Hulk: That match demonstrated Kidman's sheer athleticism, Helms v Kidman at the Bash at the Beach, man what a match that's gonna be!

Tony: You said it Hogan, quick commercial break from us, see you in a couple of minutes!

Helms: So, looks like we're going to be facing eachother at Bash at the Beach huh?

Kidman: Sure looks like it.

Helms: Well let me just say this Billy, two weeks from Sunday, let's give these fans a real title bout.

Kidman: *chuckles* You got it Shane.

Helms then goes to leave.

Mitchell: Last week Diamond Dallas Page made perhaps the biggest mistake of his career. He challenged my monster Toro to a 1-on-1 match at the Bash at the Beach, not only that but he put his career on the line if he loses. Page, you are the craziest fool that I or Toro have ever met, and if you honestly believe you stand a chance at Bash at the Beach, your hopes and dreams of living to fight another day when Toro slams you to the ground with a 7-foot chokeslam! Well Booker, the title match for Bash at the Beach has been signed, you vs. Shawn Michaels in a title-v-title winner take all match. Now we all have seen Shawn Michaels saying that he alledgedly knows your game plan for that match in two weeks, your thoughts.

Booker: Mean Gene, Shawn Michaels is nothing but a crazy old fool. I know he's old and all that, but man he must really be off his rocker. Michaels doesn't know my "gameplan" at all, y'see The Heartbreak Kid is just trying all this mind game crap. Well you know something Shawn, it's not working, I'm going to do what I always do to challengers for the World Heavyweight Championship; I'm going to head into the Bash at the Beach, hit you with a Book End, follow it up with the Axe Kick and you'll be pinned down to the mat.

Gene: Any thoughts on your match against Scott Steiner tonight?

Booker: Listen Mean Gene, I've beaten Steiner before and I'll do it again. And if Shawn Michaels even tries to get involved in the match tonight, I won't hesitate to plant my boot right in his face if he gets in the ring.

Gene: And that was WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T, back to the announce booth.

Toro then storms the ring as he ducks a punch from DDP, hitting him square in the face with a big boot. Toro then kicks away at Page, leaving boot marks all over his back. A shot of Mitchell on the outside is shown yelling 'Doomsday!', Toro then picks up DDP and wraps his hand around Page's throat. Page is then hoisted 9 feet into the air as he's then driven to the mat with a thunderous Chokeslam! Toro then roars at the audience as the screen heads to commercial.

'Non-Title'

Booker T © v Scott Steiner

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BookerT.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ScottSteiner.jpg

- Steiner immediately slaps Booker in the face, Booker responds with a kick to the jaw.

- Booker seems to go full throttle early on as he heads up top early and hits a Harlem Hangover.

- After laying in some boots, Steiner blocks a boot and then clubs the champ with a forearm.

- Steiner then works on his ground game as Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash are shown walking down to the ring.

- Booker reverses out of a Boston Crab as he then hits a spinning heel kick on Steiner.

- Booker then stands by the apron to shout some garbage at Michaels & Nash, allowing Steiner to roll him up, 1...2...Last Second Kick Out!

- Booker kicks Steiner away as he hits a sliding dropkick to Steiner in the corner.

- Steiner groggily walks out to the center of the ring, bent over...

- Booker goes for an Axe Kick...but Steiner stands up straight and hits a nice neckbreaker on the champ.

- Michaels is shown on the outside yelling 'Break him in Half!'

- Steiner gets the message as he locks in the Steiner Recliner.

- After a good 15 seconds, Booker looks as if he's about to tap, but he soon rolls over...

- Booker plants some punches to the face of Steiner as he then stands up, then doing a spinnaroonie.

- Booker then looks as if he's about to attack Steiner but he then hits a baseball slide dropkick on Kevin Nash on the outside!

- Booker throws Nash into the ringpost as he then gets back in the ring.

- Booker ducks a clothesline from Steiner and then hits a Book End!

- Steiner then stands up bent over, Booker points at Michaels as he then hits an Axe Kick. 1...2...3!

Winner: Booker T in 16:00 B+

Schiavone: Alright! Booker picks up the win over Scott Steiner and takes out Kevin Nash in the process...

Hogan: Well don't look now but Nash is back up on the outside...

Schiavone: And he slides into the ring, Steiner slides back into the ring in front of Booker, I don't like the looks of this.

Hogan: Me neither Schiavone, Booker better get out of there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ScottSteiner.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/KevinNash.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BookerT.jpg

Booker goes as if he's about to slide out of the ring but Steiner stops him and clubs him in the back of the head. Steiner then drills Booker T in the back with a Polish Hammer. The World Heavyweight Champion then stumbles over to Kevin Nash, who then delivers a sickening Jackknife Powerbomb. This prompts United States Champion Shawn Michaels to slide into the ring, he is heard pointing at Booker and yelling, 'Hold him for me!' Nash and Steiner then pick up the disoriented world champion as Michaels then spits in his face. After a slap to the face, Michaels delivers a big Heartbreaker Kick! Booker collapses to a heap in the center of the ring as all three heels pose on the ring ropes, with Michaels holding up both the United States and World Heavyweight Championships as Nitro comes to an end.

Note: And so, back from hiatus, WCW: Phoenix From The Ashes returns! Took a little time off to focus on school work and came back to see I got creamed in the DOTM Rookie competition. This doesn't discourage me at all, in fact, it makes me even more motivated to put up the best damn shows this board's ever seen. So once again I thank you guys for taking the time to read this, now let's go try to win DOTM Real World for May/June!

now let's go try to win DOTM Real World for May/June!

I might have something to say about that :D

Seriously though, assuming you meet the show requirements (I'll need to check on that when the next nominations thread rolls around), you've got my nomination at the very least. Really diggin' this thing.

Now onto this show...

-Even though I voted the other way, I can see the logic in having DDP go over Storm. DDP needed a victory heading into his match with Toro at the PPV, so Toro's win (that's right, I'll call it right now) looks more impressive. I like that you kept Storm strong even in defeat, though, what with him kicking out of the Diamond Cutter. I always wanted Storm to get a main-event level push in real WCW, so hopefully you can make that happen down the road ;)

-I'm interested to see the continued progression of the Sting/Goldberg storyline, and whether or not Sting's mind games will send Goldy into an ass-kicking frenzy.

Glad to see you're using your performance in the Rookie poll as motivation rather than discouragement. Keep at it, dude, because like I said, I'm really enjoying this.

Oh, and one more thing: does your BATB logo say June 28, 2009? Either I'm reading that wrong, or it's a typo.

- On Storm, I've got a little something planned for him down the road but that probably won't take place until after BATB.

- As if Goldberg wasn't already? ;)

- Hellz yeah I'm usin' it for motivation, Imma get that award! (Unless you or iMac get it first, then it's all good in my book.)

- Meh, don't make my own graphics so it's really the best I could do. And it's not in Toronto :p it's in Miami this year.

yup I think you read it right. but anyway nice show! you got a good thing going. just one little nit-pick.......... hacksaw not using "Tough guy"? or HOOOO!!!!!!

- When it's 12 in the morning local time and you should be typing a paper yeah you start to forget stuff. Ol' Hacksaw will be "more in character" next show he's in.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated.

On Bravo!

Scheduled to be held in Jackson, MS and to be live on Bravo!

Monday Night Nitro comes rolling into Jackson Mississippi this week, and boy does this card already look impressive. WCW Management Representatives Ricky Steamboat & Ric Flair both decided that two 'Pick Your Poison' matches will take place tonight, with Booker T being able to choose Shawn Michaels' opponent and Shawn Michaels able to choose Booker's opponent. Both rivals announced their picks earlier today, with World Champion Booker selecting Bam Bam Bigelow as his pick while US Champ Shawn Michaels selected the young Shawn Stasiak to represent him. With alot on the line tonight for both competitors, will each of them win their respective matches? In another singles match, two opposing members from the WCW Tag Team Title match at the Bash at the Beach will face each other this week with two weeks left until the Bash, the two members? Buff Bagwell from Totally Buff and Sean O'Haire from the WCW Tag Champs, the Natural Born Thrillers. Goldberg is also scheduled to be in action, taking on one half of KroniK, Brian Adams. And speaking of Goldberg, will Sting decide to make an appearance during the match? Find out this Monday on WCW Monday Night Nitro! Live on Bravo! at 10PM EST/9PM CST! See you there!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Norman Smiley v Toro

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/NormanSmiley.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Toro.jpg

Man how did Norman Smiley find himself in this spot? For the second time so far this year, Smiely finds himself going face-to-face with the monster Toro yet again! Toro and James Mitchell are both looking forward to Toro's upcoming match against Diamond Dallas Page at the Bash at the Beach next Sunday. Page defeated Lance Storm last week and has an off week this week, will he make an appearance in this match? Tune in to Nitro this Monday to find out.

Goldberg v Brian Adams

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Goldberg.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BrianAdams.jpg

After weeks of mind games from Sting, Goldberg finds himself in in-ring action against one half of KroniK, Brian Adams. Goldberg's been quoted earlier in the week saying that 'he'll absolutely kill Sting if he gets involved in tonight's match.' With a stern warning from Goldberg, will Sting heed these words and stay out of the match? Or will he still make an appearance? And with a currently psychologically-wrecked Goldberg, will Adams be able to capitalise and pin the former owner of the Streak! Find out this Monday on Nitro!

Sean O'Haire v Buff Bagwell

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/SeanOHaire.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BuffBagwell.jpg

This week and next week on Nitro, the two opposing teams that will face each other at Bash at the Beach will send one member each week to fight against a member from the other team. This week, Sean O'Haire of the Natural Born Thrillers takes on Buff Bagwell from Totally Buff. Each member is looking to help get their team the advantage heading into the Bash at the Beach, as the WCW World Tag Team Championships are on the line. Totally Buff can hopefully continue on their roll they've been having, as they've recently reversed their way out of a little slump they've been having. While the Natural Born Thrillers have only suffered one loss since the return of World Championship Wrestling.

'Non-Title' - 'Pick Your Poison'

Bam Bam Bigelow v Shawn Michaels

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BamBamBigelow.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnMichaels.jpg

In the first of two Pick Your Poison matches, United States Champion Shawn Michaels finds himself against Booker T's pick to face him, Bam Bam Bigelow. Since the return of WCW, Bam Bam hasn't won a match, although last week on WCW.com he went on to say that he's been training harder than ever to finally get that first win back. While Michaels himself is looking for yet another win to help earn some more momentum heading into Bash at the Beach next week, Michaels is expected to have both 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash and 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner at ringside for this one, will they both play factors into this match? WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T will be at ringside alongside Tony Schiavone and 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan to give his thoughts on his opponent for Bash at the Beach.

'Non-Title' - 'Pick Your Poison'

Booker T v Shawn Stasiak

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BookerT.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnStasiak.jpg

The World Heavyweight Champion Booker T might have a big obstacle to overcome this week on Nitro, he's going to take on a man currently undefeated in singles action this year, Shawn Stasiak. Stasiak proclaims himself as 'The Future' and he'd definitely shot the future is here as he could possibly gain himself a win over the current World Champ. Though he shouldn't take Booker T as a pushover as the World Champ has proven himself to be able to defeat any opponent at any time. Shawn Michaels has said that he appointed Stasiak as his pick because, 'This kid definitely is the future of WCW, and so why don't we start the future now?' Michaels is also slated to join Tony Schiavone and Hulk Hogan on guest commentary for this match, but what about Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner? Will they show up and try to interfere two weeks before Michaels' and Booker's match at Bash at the Beach? Find out the answers to these questions this Monday, only on Nitro on Bravo! 10PM EST/9PM CST!

Prediction List

Norman Smiley v Toro

Goldberg v Brian Adams

Sean O'Haire v Buff Bagwell

Norman Smiley v Toro

-Duh. Commence the squash.

Goldberg v Brian Adams

-Whether Sting appears or not, there's simply no way you can let Crush go over Goldy.

Sean O'Haire v Buff Bagwell

-Bit of a toss-up in my mind. I expect the NBT to retain when the titles are on the line, but I think Totally Buff have to win at least one of the two singles matches beforehand.

Bam Bam Bigelow v Shawn Michaels

-Booker selected the winless Bammer? A questionable decision from the Book-Man.

Booker T v Shawn Stasiak

-Going out on a bit of a limb here. Here's how I see it: you seem to be trying to give Stasiak a push, and a win over the World champ would give him a huge shot in the arm. But if it does happen, it won't be clean: HBK will undoubtedly be involved. That way, Stasiak gets a huge rub, and you also ratchet up the tension between Booker and HBK even further.

Pyro explodes all across the southeastern arena as the red white and blue pyro then stops as the WCW logo is shown on the TitanTron, we're then taken to our announcers for the evening, Tony Schiavone and 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TonySchiavone.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/HulkHogan.jpg

Tony: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Jackson, MS home of Monday Night Nitro tonight! Tony Schiavone alongside 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan in what sure seems to be a promising card. It's Pick Your Poison night!

Hulk: You're right there Schiavone, Shawn Michaels has picked the young Shawn Stasiak to represent him tonight while Booker T has picked Bam Bam Bigelow.

Tony: Quite an interesting choice in Bigelow wouldn't you say so Hogan?

Hulk: Well Bam Bam hasn't had a win since the return of WCW but who knows? He could possibly turn that stat around tonight.

Tony: And we don't just have Pick Your Poison tonight, we've got Goldberg in action as well against Brian Adams. And in one-on-one action, two members from the two teams that will face each other for the WCW World Tag Team Championships at the Bash at the Beach will collide tonight in singles action, those two being Sean O'Haire and Buff Bagwell.

Hulk: Not to mention Toro taking on Norman Smiley yet again.

Tony: Thanks for that Hogan, nearly forgot, and here comes out World Champion!

Booker: Yes, yes, thank you now sit down. Last week Shawn Michaels sent Scott Steiner to take me on in non-title action to try and 'soften me up' for the Bash in the Beach next week. Well Shawn, consider the result from last week a preview of the Bash, you'll be pinned on your back with your shoulders planted on the mat by the end of the night, and I'll walk out of Miami Florida as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion again! So, tonight WCW Management Representative Ricky Steamboat booked us in Pick Your Poison matches, and I picked you to face Bam Bam Bigelow. Now you may be thinking you have the night off easy Michaels, but I guarentee you Bam Bam will be enough of a challenge for you tonight. And as for you picking that little jackass Shawn Stasiak to face me, I'm going to treat him the same way I'll treat you at the Bash. I'm going to kick him square in the face, nail him with a Book End, and then finish him with the Axe Kick and walk out of another WCW Event, the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Now can you dig that!? Sucka?

The other WCW Management Representative Ric Flair then comes in to Steamboat's office.

Steamboat: Hey Ric, what can I do for you?

Flair: Steamboat, we've gotta talk.

Steamboat: Okay well have a seat...now what's on your mind?

Flair: Whatever happened to us consulting each other before making booking decisions Ricky?

Steamboat: What?

Flair: I said whatever happend to us both agreeing what matches we'd showcase on Nitro? What's up with these Pick Your Poison matches tonight?

Steamboat: I figured that I'd have both halves of the World Title match at the World Championship match at Bash at the Beach in action tonight, and that just I'd make each choose the other's opponent.

Flair: You should think before you book these things Ricky.

Steamboat: What you're saying I can't do my job!?

Flair: Well look at it from a business standpoint, the fans want matches that will keep them on the edge of their seat, no one wants to see Bam Bam Bigelow get kicked square in the face by Shawn Michaels within seconds they want to see stuff like Booker T against Shawn Stasiak, a close challenging matchup.

Steamboat: Y'know what Flair? Don't tell me how to do my job, get out of my office.

Norman Smiley v Toro

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/NormanSmiley.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Toro.jpg

- Smiley immediately starts off the match with a punch to Toro's chest.

- Toro doesn't even sell it as he hits a big clothesline to start the match off with a bang.

- A few seconds later and Toro is holding Smiley's body up above his head, big press slam!

- Toro goes for a pin, 1...2.Kick Out!

- Toro then waits in the corner and waits for Smiley to stand up, Toro charges, Smiley dodges a Lariat!

- But Toro rebounds and then smashes him across the skull with the lariat.

- Mitchell at ringside is shown yelling 'DOOMSDAY!' Toro gets the hint as he raises his hand to the sky.

- ...and he then clasps his hand around Smiley's throat, Smiley goes up...

- And comes down with the Chokeslam! Pin, 1...2...3!

Winner: Toro in 3:37 C

- Basic squash match, nothing else to say.

Tony: And Toro picks up yet another win on Nitro.

Hulk: And Diamond Dallas Page better be watching this match, as he could learn a thing or two by watching Toro's moves.

Tony: Well one thing's for sure, DDP might need all the help he can get, his career is on the line next week at the Bash at the Beach! And here comes 'The Sinister Minister' James Mitchell to the ring.

Gene: 'Mean' Gene Okerlund backstage here with the former owner of the streak, Bill Goldberg. Now Goldberg lately you've been a victim of some of Sting's mindgames, your thoughts on them?

Goldberg: Okerlund, you as well as I know that the whole mind-game schtick is getting old. Sting, you've been trying so hard to get into my head and throw me off, well let me remind you that I'm completely sick of them and I'm sick of you, so I went to the WCW Management Representatives and they have made Goldberg v Sting II at the Bash at the Beach! Goldberg v Brian Adams

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Goldberg.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BrianAdams.jpg

- Early lockup has Adams somehow manage to gain control of the match.

- After some chops to the chest, Goldberg blocks one and then starts punching back at Adams.

- Goldberg hits a knee to the chest in the corner as he then hits a running powerslam on Adams.

- Adams soon is able to regain control of the match as he headbutts Goldberg, Adams then locks Goldberg into an armbar...

- But Goldberg gets out of the hold as he then takes down Adams with a big clothesline.

- After stomping away and working on Adams' arms for awhile, Goldberg picks up his opponent and goes for a Spear...

- But Adams dodges the attempt as Goldberg flies into the corner.

- Goldberg doesn't seem to be fazed from the hit as he immediately charges out of the corner and Spears Adams to the mat!

- Goldberg then bathes in the reaction from the crowd as he waits for Adams to stand...

- Brian is up...and JACKHAMMER! Goldberg covers his opponent, 1...2...3!

Winner: Goldberg in 7:23 C+

- Really wasn't much selling in this one, such as the whole ringpost incident.

Tony: And so Goldberg picks up a big victory tonight.

Hulk: Great effort from Brian Adams, really surprised with how well he handled himself in singles action.

Tony: Yes but it wasn't quite enough to take down the mighty Goldberg. And we'll be back in a little bit folks, as we're off to commercial.

Hulk: Wow, I did not see that coming Schiavone.

Tony: Just when we thought that Sean O'Haire had the match sealed up, the Tag Champ was then pinned by Buff Bagwell!

Hulk: Man, I wonder how much momentum this is going to gain Totally Buff heading into the Bash at the Beach.

Tony: I'm sure it could plenty enough partner. And now a quick commercial and we'll be back folks!

Winner: Shawn Michaels in 16:52 B+

- So far this is match of the night candidate, Bam Bam was visibly tired toward the end.

Tony: Dammit! Shawn Michaels steals the win!

Hulk: Wow, that was actually some pretty good strategizing.

Tony: Yeah, but it still wasn't clean.

Hulk: There's something you've got to realize brother, sometimes you even have to cheat to win.

A shot of 'The Future' Shawn Stasiak is shown of him staring into the camera, he then speaks...

Stasiak: Over the past two weeks you all have witnessed the sheer power of the 'The Future.' I am the new unstoppable force in professional wrestling, and there will be no one who will be able to beat me. Not even the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Stasiak tonight. He will fall to me just like 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan will at the Bash at the Beach. And after I'm done with Booker and Duggan, maybe the world will finally recognise the true power of 'The Future.'

- Booker checks with the ref to see if he knows how to count as Stasiak spins the champ around and delivers a DDT.

- Stasiak then goes up top and delivers a missile dropkick when Booker stands.

- Stasiak then signals for a Future Drop (Reverse DDT) as he gets Booker in position, but Booker hits a cutter!

- Booker then does a spinnaroonie as now Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and Scott Steiner come down to the ring.

- All three heels just stand at ringside as Booker plants Stasiak in the jaw with a superkick.

- Booker then stands by the ropes staring at Michaels and the US Championship Belt.

- Michaels then cracks a smile as he points behind Booker...

- Stasiak creeps up and delivers a Future Drop! 1...2...3!

Winner: Shawn Stasiak in 16:01 B+

- Man two great semi-main event matches tonight, Stasiak seems to have been able to hold his own in this long contest. Expect him to move up the card to bigger matches soon.

Tony: And Michaels and crew are instrumental in another match of Booker T's.

Hulk: Remember that bit about strategizing I said before Schiavone? This is what I'm talking about.

Tony: They're still all just a pack of cheaters, and here comes Shawn Michaels with a microphone.

HBK: Well look at this folks! The WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T is planted right on his back, fresh off the heels of a loss to a rookie. Booker, this just goes to show you are absolutely pathetic, you don't deserve to hold that WCW World Title, I do. I am the most prolific wrestler this business has ever seen! And at the Bash at the Beach you know that I'll add WCW World Heavyweight Title to my list of career accomplishments. Oh and I hope you saw what me and Steiner did to your friend Bam Bam Bigelow early, you want to know what? We broke him, just like how I'll break you at the Bash. See you there, champ.

Predictions and reasoning...

'WCW World Heavyweight & WCW United States Championship Match'

Booker T (WH) v Shawn Michaels (US)

Booker just IS wcw, and as much as you've tried to stack the odds against him going into the pay per view with michaels and friends trying to soften him up, i can see him overcoming the odds big time. it's what he does, it's his character. i'm going booker.

Sting v Goldberg

sting, just because. i can see something pretty crazy happening with goldberg and in the process sting getting some sort of win

'WCW World Tag Team Title Match'

The Natural Born Thrillers © v Totally Buff

i think a lot of the future of the company rests on the shoulders of guys like these tag champs right here. i don't want the old guard phased out, and i like guys like luger and bagwell more than most, but it just feels like getting the belts on them here would be a big step backwards

'If Page loses, he has to retire from wrestling'

Diamond Dallas Page v Toro

this is a tough one with the stipulation. for me a loss for toro just kills his great momentum in a hurry. that'd be a shame. on the other hand, this doesn't seem like the kinda big, huge, emotional moment that the end of ddp's career should bring. not sure which is the lesser of the two evils here, but something in my head is just telling me to go for toro

'WCW Cruiserweight Championship'

Shane Helms © v Billy Kidman

just don't see kidman being the one to stop suga shane here

'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan v Shawn Stasiak

come on, it's duggan. he shouldn't be winning matches on ppv at this point in his career. i also think stasiak was a really under rated guy and i enjoyed him a lot in wcw. would be a shame to see stasiak buried here

all in all, looking liek a really strong card and the thing i like is that even though you've moved some new characters into the mix and bought one or two guys in, it still has a really nice wcw feel to it and looks like the kinda card that wcw would have put out there. good stuff

There's still one more Nitro before the Bash, correct? I think that's the case, so I'll hold off on my Bash predictions for now.

Anyhow, another good show, yim. And even though I got a perfect 5/5, I didn't think it was overly predictable. I very easily could have picked O'Haire over Buff, and Booker over Stasiak. I was glad to see the Bammer hang with HBK, and put on a heck of a match in the process. I always liked Bigelow, and if you're planning on giving him a higher profile going forward, I'm on board.

Like TheSaviour said, BATB is shaping up to be a heck of a show. I would be shocked if I got a perfect score there, because there are several matches that I feel could easily go either way.

Don't worry about any downtime between shows. As long as you keep going at your current quality, it'll be worth the wait in my opinion.

Yup, one Nitro is left. Good to know that the card wasn't too predictable, and as for Bigelow he just might be getting a push soon, stick around and find out. And trust me, BATB is going to be worth reading.

"Well...yeah, you wanted to expand so..."

"Fine just take some cash and go looking for whomever."

Damn, if he's just going to hand over money to me why doesn't he just give me the damn company?

WCW Nitro - July Wk 2 PREVIEW

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Logos/121x105%20Logos/logo_WCW-Nitro2.jpg

On Bravo!

Scheduled to be held in Orlando, FL and to be shown live on Bravo!

The final Monday Night Nitro before the Bash at the Beach is located in Orlando Florida this week, and there is plenty of excitement in the air with 6 days left until the PPV. With three tag team matches and one singles match on the card tonight, there's going to be a lot on the line tonight, as whoever wins their matches tonight can gain some momentum heading into the Bash. Tonight for our main event we've got Booker T and Sting (making a rare Nitro appearance) against their advesaries at the Bash, Shawn Michaels and Goldberg. Lot of tension between these two teams for this match, as each of these wrestlers have a grudge against one of the members on the opposite team, so expect this to be a preview of the great action to come from the Bash. Last week we saw Buff Bagwell pinning Sean O'Haire in a singles match with two members from each team facing each other for the WCW Tag Team Titles at the Bash, last week we had a member from Totally Buff pin a member from the champs, the Natural Born Thrillers. Could this week have a different outcome? With Lex Luger from Totally Buff taking on Chuck Palumbo from the NBTs? We've also got cruiserweight tag team action this week with Shane Helms and Billy Kidman (who will face each other from Helms' Cruiserweight Title at the Bash) against Elix Skipper and Jamie Noble, and we've also got Diamond Dallas Page and Jim Duggan teaming against Shawn Stasiak and Toro this week. We hope to catch you watching Nitro this Monday on Bravo! at 10PM EST/9PM CST, see you there!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Diamond Dallas Page & Jim Duggan vs Shawn Stasiak & Toro

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/DiamondDallasPage.jpghttp://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Wrestlers/KyKy/J%20Images/Jim_Duggan6.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnStasiak.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Toro.jpg

In what should be considered a preview for the Bash at the Beach, Bash opponents will square off against each other in a tag team match six days before the big event. Diamond Dallas Page is looking to get a hand over his brute of an opponent for this Sunday, Toro; While Duggan is looking to shut Stasiak's mouth by calling all legends 'over the hill' and saying they should retire. DDP and Hacksaw might have some stiff competition though, as Stasiak and Toro have not been pinned or have submitted since the return of WCW. But nonetheless this should just still be an exciting opening match, so tune in and watch this match and the rest of Nitro this Monday on Bravo!

Shane Helms & Billy Kidman v Elix Skipper & Jamie Noble

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShaneHelms.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BillyKidman.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ElixSkipper.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/JamieNoble.jpg

WCW's Cruiserweights will be in action this week as Bash opponents 'Sugar' Shane Helms and Billy Kidman will take on Elix Skipper and Jamie Noble this week. Two weeks ago Kidman won a #1 Contendership match for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, granting him the chance to go to the Bash at the Beach with the chance to become Cruiserweight Champ. And after a break last week, the Champion and the Challenger find themselves tagging with each other against two other highly-skilled cruiserweights. In an online interview conducted by Gene Okerlund, the WCW Cruiserweight Champ Helms says that even though that he'll face Kidman in six days, he has the utmost respect for him and has no problem tagging with him, Kidman's response was along the same lines. Although it may be possible that the respect between these two might implode six days before their big title match. Meanwhile, Elix Skipper and Jamie Noble know that a win this week could shoot them like a rocket up the WCW Cruiserweight Championship Contendership Rankings, and will do anything that can get them a future shot. Who will win this exciting bout? Tune in to Nitro to find out.

Lex Luger v Chuck Palumbo

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/LexLuger.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ChuckPalumbo.jpg

Last week on Nitro, we saw these two wrestlers' tag team partners take on each other, with Buff Bagwell going over Sean O'Haire. This week, the partners of those two will face each other now as Lex Luger will take on Chuck Palumbo. With Totally Buff taking on the Natural Born Thrillers for the WCW World Tag Team Championships this Sunday, whoever wins this match can gain some tremendous momentum heading into the Bash at the Beach, and as shown before, sometimes whoever has more momentum can sneak out the victory. Both of these two competitors are known for their strong performances in the ring, so expect a lot of strength to be demonstrated this week between these two competitors. Oh, and don't forget that quite possibly Buff Bagwell and Sean O'Haire might make an appearance at ringside for this one. Tune in to Nitro to get this match and all the other great action this Monday on Bravo!

Booker T & Sting v Goldberg & Shawn Michaels

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BookerT.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Sting.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Goldberg.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/ShawnMichaels.jpg

In this week's Main Event, Bash at the Beach opponents will take on eachother this week as a preview for the action this Sunday. With the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T tagging with Sting taking on Goldberg and the WCW United States Champion Shawn Michaels. Booker T is looking for some retribution this week after Shawn Michaels and his assosciates cost Booker his Pick Your Poison match last week, while Michaels is looking for all the momentum he can get heading into the Bash, where he has a chance to walk out of Miami as both the United States and the World Heavyweight Champions. Meanwhile this week Sting makes a rare in-ring appearance on Nitro as he'll look to shut up his rival Goldberg heading into the Bash, after attacking Sting at the Great American Bash three weeks ago, Goldberg might head out to brutalize his opponent for Sunday tonight instead of at the PPV, while Sting might continue to play mind games with Goldberg. This is sure to be (as a certain commentator would say) a sheer slobberknocker, so tune in to Nitro this week to witness these four legends in their own time face off in tag team action. We'll see you these this Monday on Bravo, 10PM EST/9PM CST!

Prediction List

Diamond Dallas Page & Jim Duggan v Shawn Stasiak & Toro

Shane Helms & Billy Kidman v Elix Skipper & Jamie Noble
