ZMAN
Meeting. On my first day, I was assigned to meet with Richard Eisen regarding a non-agression pact. They had just recently stolen from NYCW two of it's superstars, Joey Minnesota and Danny B. Bling. I walked into Supremacy Headquarters where I was told that Mr. Eisen would see me in a few minutes. I waited, and waited for about thirty five minutes, wishing Stomper had done this himself. Finally, out comes Eric Eisen... great, the spoiled, rich brat is here, underwear showing and everything. He told me his father had no interest in meeting with me, and that I should go back to my "cruddy" little indy show. I was then hauled out by security before I could put my hands around his throat. What a day... The following week, I've got meetings with various superstars. First, I have Dermot O' Logical, Brent Hill, and Deano Machino, all came to my office one after the other. I was able to sign them all to a lengthy, 9-month pay-per-appearance deal. They're probably going to remain in the midcard region for now though. The next day, I met with April Appleseed up in Canada. Another successful signing, where she agreed to pretty much the same deal. While I was there, I thought that now would be a good time to meet with NOTBPW, at one of their shows. I was pretty nervous walking in, but soon realized that these folks are nothing like the Eisens. I enjoyed their "Winter War" show, which featured Dan Stone Jr. defending the Canadian Title against Dark Angel, as well as many other great matches. After the show, I got a lot of special treatment from The Stone Family. I spoke with them about having a non-agression agreement, and they were more than happy to work the deal out. They did however, sign Rocky Downpour to a written contract earlier on in the week. To compensate for that loss, they told me that April Appleseed would love to work for us. We came to an agreement, and now April Appleseed is part of the NOTBPW roster. Also, on the phone, The Stomper has notified me that he's signed Champagne Lover to an open deal. The next week I met with Tommy Cornell up in TCW HQ. That place is HUGE. The meeting was brief. Tommy didn't seem all THAT interested, but he agreed to a non-agression agreement anyways. I guess he has bigger things to worry about than little old NYCW. And now I have a show to book, with The Stomper. We decided to have a December show called... Zero Tolerance. BriFidelity
Looks good so far, I like that you're using established NYCW Workers, but I hope (and doubt, unless the game stats were edited) that you can afford to keep it up. I sure couldn't.
ZMAN
NYCW Zero Tolerance. December. Tiny Tri-State Arena. 227 People. Announcers: Marv Averest and Emma Extreme. Wiley Coyote(C) defeated The Sting in 5:53. Ending: Wiley uses a dirty, eye gouge on Sammy, and drops him with the double arm DDT. Rating: D... Crowd wasn't into it that much. Steve Flash defeated Dermot O'Logical in 7:31. Ending: Dermot misses a cheap shot with some sort of make-up powder, and Flash scoops him up with the Flashbang. Rating: C- Brent Hill does an interview in 2 minutes. - Hill introduces himself, and bashes Champagne Lover on the mic for a few seconds. Rating: C- Brent Hill defeated Champagne Lover in 12:42. Ending: Champagne misses a moonsault off the top rope, and Hill defeats him with a fisherman suplex. Rating: C-... Eventhough it was a decent match, neither man seemed to click and had a few botchy moves. Whistler had an interview in 5 minutes. - Whistler points out some troops in the crowd, gets some cheap pops, and bashes Travis Century. Rating: C+... Good interview, but getting pretty repetitive. Travis Century(C) defeated Whistler in 5:33. - Whistler counters Travis' double axe handle off the top with a punch to the gut, and drops him head-first with the Rebel Yell. Rating: C+... Good performance by both men, but they could use a change. Emma Extreme shoots T-shirts in 2 minutes. - Emma comes out, in a bikini, with a cannon and shoots some shirts off the crowd. Rating: A... Obviously this brought the crowds mood up, just in time for the main event. American Buffalo(C) defeated Mr. America and The Big Problem in 7:57. - Referee is knocked down, unable to see what happens. Big Problem misses Buffalo with the lariat, and Buffalo clocks him over the head with the Empire belt. Meanwhile, Mr. America is laid out from a spinebuster as Buffalo gets the win. Rating: C... Not the best match, but it wasn't bad for this being their first main event. Overall: C- I thought the show was a success, eventhough they could have done more/better angles and interviews. I could be wrong though.
ZMAN
Meeting. This week I had a meeting with DaVE owner Phil Vibert, who was very upset about his tv show loss. It must be because of the nip slip from Easy Emma. Anyways, he came to realize that a non-agression pact would be a good idea, so now that makes 3 pacts for NYCW. The following week, Herb Stately left NYCW to become CZCW's headbooker. He's doing some "welcome to the coastal zone" thing now.

MrTootles
I haven't used promotion with low popularity yet, so I'll be interested to see whether your one show a month technique works out (so I can use it when I eventually do decide to take on the challenge). theunholyicon
It works. I used it with 4C and surprisingly you get alot of cash, and overness not to slowly. I got lots of cash fast, from not having to pay workers and arena fees, and allowed myself some more breathing room for more etablished stars a couple years in, and I now run 2 shows a month, with a very large profit. I could probably run 3, possibly 4 a month now, as my ticket sales outdo my wrestler costs.

ZMAN
Meeting... Raising ticket prices may have been a mistake, since some fans refused to pay the extra two dollars to see the show. I thought advertising Buffalo vs. America would interest people more! I'll definitely put the price back to $5 until things pick up. Running Rush Hour for 90 minutes may have also been a mistake. The show cost way more than we could afford and probably would have been better off as a one hour program to begin with. The Spring season is starting, and networks are going through applications for new tv shows. DAVE, UCR, and NOTBPW have already gotten deals. I'm gonna try getting one just to see how it turns out. Travis Century(C) defeated Roger Dodger in 7:58 via count out when Roger escaped the pedigree and fled the match. Rating: C-...Not a very good match-up, with Travis looking lazy throughout the match. Some "boring" chants started up in the middle, since the crowd expected more. Steve Flash defeated Silver Shark in 7:51 with a running Flashbang. Rating: C-...Crowd wasn't into it, and it probably should've been the opener. CAGE Match: American Buffalo(C) defeated Mr. America in 4:51, with multiple fireman carries into the cage wall followed by a death valley driver. Rating: C Overall: C...Another good show, with a few errors that should be corrected on our next one. ZMAN
Game over. I think it was the 90 minute show mostly, that screwed me. Should've changed it to 60. I'm such a noob.
juggaloninjalee
You just used too many guys. Every time a guy on a PPA deal is used you pay him so if you only use like 6 guys on your roster you only pay 6 guys. If you use 10 you pay that many. Try limiting how many guys you use. Maybe run a gauntlet on your most over guy having him go through 4 of your cheapest guys in one show. The cheaper the guy USUALLY means he isn't as over so jobbers could be used in other words. Extend lengths of matches and such.
