Moderndaywarrior
Doing the work for my first write-up,I looked at the rosters at happend to notice a Mr.Kurt Von Hess,Wild Red Berry, and a certain Dr.Ken Ramey.....all I can to that is.....that's freakin' awesome! They might have come a bit before my time, but I have seen(and read of) all 3,that is a real tribute to the kayfabe era as those 3 are what I would call "kayfabe classics"
Sartagis
I was planning to make specific move sets for some people I want to play through as that currently have a generic move set. However I was wondering if more move sets was something you had planed to look at, cause I'm lazy by nature so I don't wanna do something if it might be done for me. Make a list of those you feel have a "weak" move set,and post it for DBG,he'll probably at least take a look at them...i mean, the guy fixed Stan Frazier for crying out loud, a wrestler whose high point was probably breaking King Kong Bundy's "world record 6 second win"(even though any dope with a VCR and a watch could tell you it actually took Bundy 26 seconds to win), now we can have that Uncle Elmer diary we all desparately wanted
D. Boons Ghost
Yeah, Sar... if you have some names, throw them out and I'll be happy to do them.
Sartagis
Mostly Young bucks, Chris Jericho (who has trademark moves set up already) and Raven are the main two. Was a couple others but then i realized they did, I just missed em due to the move set not being called by their name. Then a few of the up and coming Japanese guys. Naoki Sano, Akira Nogami, Masakatsu Funaki, Minoru Suzuki, Akitoshi Saito and Takashi Iizuka. Jericho and Raven are the two that are holding up production so to speak. D. Boons Ghost
You are on your own with the Japanese, Sar. I would have no clue whatsoever. Nor do I really have the interest in researching them. Jericho and Raven are done, though. Plus a nice little surprise. I'll release this update once Troy finishes up his testing. He has come up with a new formula on promotion popularity in the hopes of seeing some growth. One great advantage to the new set-up is that the game world acts much more 'regional'. For the most part, companies promote shows in their home regions. This allows the player to concentrate on one region at the lower levels - making the progression to 'regional star' much more effective and logical. I had noticed in the past you usually don't see much as far as size changes as it was,and usually it was the same few (WWF to National, sometimes MACW to National,AJPW and NJPW both go National at some point,MSW sometimes went Cult and SWCW always went regional) I have to admit,it was wierd to see the regionals like CWA and CWF running random shows in Puerto Rico or the Pacific Northwest...I always really wanted to "anchor" a promotion and take it to the next level(taking a product like GCW or MSW National and going head to head with Vince would be a dream come true lol),the way venue selection for the booking worked,it almost seemed counter-productive to that end though;plus it would be more sensible,a promotion would want to go for a solid rep in its own backyard first, then after that slowly expand to neighboring regions if they felt gutsy. shipshirt
Hey Eric! This is hysterical...for some reason I opened WresSpi2 the other day for the heck of it and started a game as Arn Anderson. Then I came here on a whim and saw you had the mod all updated and ready to go (I think I had the beta version from the old board). Now I'm hooked into the game all over again! Thanks man! Moderndaywarrior
Just noticed noticed last night.....jeez i get a lot of "not booked" with my rookie guy, probably because the top is so stacked with such unbelievable talent, makes it hard for a new guy to break in,which to me is pretty realistic(and neat), you really like you "earned" your spot. Random Question: Is Bobby Shane active in 3.0? I was doing some reading about wrestling(as i often do), and it seems to me he had all the skills to go far,had it not been for the plane crash. D. Boons Ghost
Shane is one of those guys I intended to add, but haven't gotten around to it. When I primed out Hiro Matsuda and Boris Malenko, my plan was to add a bunch of Florida's past stars in order to make CWF one of the better promotions to play; Shane was one of them... reworking Eddie Graham and Buddy Colt so that they are active, etc. One of these days. I made Whipper Billy Watson and Tony Borne active wrestlers today, though! Heh. And I agree on Shane. He was always a top lightweight, but the eventual morphing into that King character was what separated him from the pack. I've always figured he would have been a terrific manager once the 80s boom kicked in.

Tony and Dutch Savage were kinda like Don Owen's answer to Bruiser and Crusher in the ring...now if Tony he can get his son off those "medications"... Whipper Watson deserves it as he was Canada's original "National Wrestling Hero" way before Bret, plus with him active you will have every NWA Champ since its official foundation in 1948...we'll just have to make sure to keep him and Gotch as far from Buddy Rogers as possible. If you bring back Eddie Graham does that mean Bob Roop will demand that the N.W.A. ban The Figure Four Leglock again? Seriously though, Shane and Colt would be cool to see wrestling again...sometimes I wonder if Eddie Graham was a little cursed as he had the plane crash end the career of Buddy Colt,Bobby Shane and IIRC, Eric The Red both died from accidents travelling either to or from CWF shows. James Casey
Anyone know how WS2 runs on Vista? Just bought a new laptop, so it'd be cool to have this running as I play TEW as well - but otherwise I'll have to switch between the new and old ones, which will drive my wife nuts as she's inherited the old one <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Actarus
Boon as always great stuff thank you! Wanted to second this sentiment. This mod along w/ Socko's mod has gotten me back into WreSpr2. DaceSenoit
5 year lurker here..just wanna say thanks for this mod. between Adam's patch and your update, it feels like a whole new game and i'm having the time of my life playing my own realistic character from rookie to superstar. I'm 24-24 so far, improving my stats, and had runs in for Big Steel, Mid-South, World Class, and Southwestern. I'm a lower midcarder and can't wait to climb the ranks. I pulled off some awesome upsets against Missing Link, Erik the Red, John Tatum, Magic Dragon, Lord Humongous and had fun kicking the Blade Runners' butts, although Sting beat me twice. I've been wearing them down first- mostly head- so I can make them bleed, to take away their momentum, and then I do my thing (bionic elbow city). Kevin and Waldo von Erich are another story. I also wish Fritz would STOP BOOKING ME AGAINST KING KONG BUNDY. I feel like Woody Woodpecker. Well, after getting my head busted open by Paul Ordorff in a quick squash this morning, just wanted to say THANKS....only you can make me feel proud to get pounded by Mr. Wonderful in 6 minutes. Socko
I really need to dig out my 'house' rules and get another career going in D.O.T.T. again .. Anyone got any neat tales about the promotional race to National status in this latest version so far? It's an area that Boon and I focused on in the last updates, so it would be really cool to hear about them.
