GDFC: Grey Dog Fighting Championship

Recommended Posts

Although it's weird... Derek REALLY looks a lot like Allen LeFleur, it's uncanny! :p

It's almost as if they were separated from birth!

Lol. Either that or we've got an illegitimate Blackley / LeFleur running around. :p

- from http://www.gdfc.com

We are pleased to announce the additional signings:

Middleweights:

Francis O'Leary

Haranobu Oshiro

Light Heavyweight:

Logan Sky

We will continue to bring in more fighters to bolster our ranks. Also, here is the final card for GDFC 3: Taking Flight, where a middleweight champion shall emerge.

  • Middleweight Tournament Semi-Final: Tom Salerno vs. CJ Battiste
  • Middleweight Tournament Semi-Final: J. D. Maddox vs. Brandon Alger
  • Julio Gutierrez vs. Haranobu Oshiro
  • Tomi Nishimura vs. Seka Mutsu
  • Murilo Satinho vs. Taye Burnett

(OOC: No promises, but I'll try to put the show up Sunday. Next two weeks will be uber-busy for me, so expect things to slow down on my end. As always, thanks for zee support / interest you've shown in this. :))

Really tough to call this one but I'm going with Salerno based on his unstoppable takedowns and strategy. Will be close though and I think all the tournament fights could go either way. :)

I'm more confident than Derek is about Salerno winning, personally. I would be pretty surprised if any of the other competitors, including yours truly (yeah, that's right, I will pick against myself. I'm unbiased, see. ;)), won the tournament.

GDFC 3: Taking Flight

Monday, Week 3, February 1999

Las Vegas, Nevada

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u8/Actarus96/WMMA%202%20Grey%20Dog%20Dynasty/CameronLeve03.gifhttp://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u8/Actarus96/WMMA%202%20Grey%20Dog%20Dynasty/AlexEmerson03.gif

Cameron Leve and Alex Emerson

Blurcat Reporters, Drinking on the Job

Cameron Leve: “Hello everyone, I’m Cameron Leve and you’re listening to Blurcat’s live coverage of GDFC 3: Taking Flight. We’re here in Blurcat HQ, ready to give you a blow-by-blow (heh heh heh heh heh) report on tonight’s action. Alongside me, as always, is my broadcast colleague Alex Emerson.”

Alex Emerson: “Thanks cam, glad to be here. We have 7 matches tonight and we’re just moments away from the first bout beginning.”

Cameron Leve: “Before the action starts, let’s quickly run down tonight’s GDFC show. Main event of the evening; the finals of tonight’s tournament for the GDFC Middleweight title. In the second semi final, ‘The Iron Outlaw’ J. D. Maddox (2-0-1, 0-0 GDFC) competes against ‘The End of Days’ Brandon Alger (4-0, 0-0 GDFC).”

Alex Emerson: “In terms of stand-up skills, both Alger and Maddox are very evenly matched. Maddox has the more potent ground game of the two fighters. My gut tells me that J. D. Maddox will taste victory tonight.”

Cameron Leve: “In the first semi final, Tom ‘Cool Runnings’ Salerno (5-0 0-0 GDFC) fights CJ ‘Beastboy’ Battiste (0-0, 0-0 GDFC).”

Alex Emerson: “This will be a classic wrestler versus striker match. The key will be whether CJ can keep Salerno at a distance. If he can, Salerno won’t be able to get close enough to grapple and that will severely dent his hopes of victory.”

Cameron Leve: “Our co-main event will see a match from the Women’s Heavyweight division as ‘Double M’ Maggie Martin (7-4, 0-0 GDFC) will battle ‘The Unpredictable’ Phoebe Bergman (9-3, 0-0 GDFC).”

Alex Emerson: “I can only see this going one way. Martin is totally out-gunned in every area, I just can’t see any way that she can win. There’s only one way to predict this – Bergman should win easily.”

Cameron Leve: “’Grande Urso’ Murilo Satinho (0-0, 0-0 GDFC) competes against Taye Burnett (0-0, 0-0 GDFC) in the Heavyweight division.”

Alex Emerson: “I can only see this going one way. Burnett is totally out-gunned in every area, I just can’t see any way that he can win. My prediction is that Satinho is not only going to win this one, he will dominate it.”

Cameron Leve: “Tomi ‘The Rose’ Nishimura (1-0, 0-0 GDFC) will battle Seka ‘IRON’ Mutsu (9-3, 0-0 GDFC) in the Women’s Middleweight division."

Alex Emerson: “Mutsu has the better wrestling, but may have trouble getting close enough as Nishimura has the superior striking game. Nishimura needs to avoid being taken down if she can, Mutsu is much more dangerous if it goes to the ground. My gut tell sme that Seka Mutsu will taste victory tonight.”

Cameron Leve: “Julio ‘The Nightmare’ Gutierrez (2-0, 0-0 GDFC) competes against Haranobu Oshiro (4-1, 0-0 GDFC) in the Middleweight division.”

Alex Emerson: “Gutierrez is superior in a couple of key areas, and that will mean Oshiro is going to struggle to stay afloat in this match. In my mind there’s only one way to predict this – Gutierrez should win. Now, crack open that wine, Cammy!"

Cameron Leve: "I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT WHEN WE'RE ON LIVE!"

Alex Emerson: "Oh...Sorry...My bad..."

(OOC: Strange…it’s a title match, so there should have been 10 rounds of action. Just double checked the rules…Alger IS champ…not sure if I should mention this in tech support, as I don’t know what could have triggered this…

In any event, I’ll try to post the next card around Wednesday / Thursday-ish, with the show on the weekend)

Huh, that is really weird. The only reason that I would think the final fight would be five rounds would be because, maybe, you forgot to make the tournament for the Middleweight title. If you DIDN'T forget, then you should take it to tech support, for sure.

Is it weird that I'm more surprised that Salerno lost in the semis than I am about winning the whole thing? Not that I'm not surprised that I actually won, but, hey, I'll take it. :p

Nope, definitely didn't forget. It's in the promotion history: "Brandon Alger beat CJ Battiste by Unanimous Decision in 3:00 of round 5 to win the GDFC Middleweight title (Good)" Since it's a title fight, that should have gone 10x3...I'll post in tech support later I guess. In the meantime congrats.

Wow... that's what happens when you try to predict the future, guys. There was only, what, one match that went the way everyone (including Blurcat) thought it would? Crazy times.

I think that's why Cammy and Alex broadcast from a wine cellar. :p

So I lied; here' s the card for the next show:

GDFC 4: Knockout Kings

  • Light Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final: Scott Irvana vs. Chris Thomas
  • Light Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final: Shawn Stevens vs. Cole Simpson
  • Chris Dunn vs. Hardy Tristan
  • Mason Archer vs. Terry Bull
  • Joan Whitehouse vs. Emma Birch
  • Karen Curtis vs. Yuya Shimizu for the GDFC Women's Middleweight title
  • GDFC Light Heavyweight Title Tournament Finals: ??? vs. ???

In case you're wondering, these events are very closely spaced together, and I'm just pumping them out to crown champions. I'm also purposely staying away from certain divisions until all champs are crowned (and people are healed; the number of unavailable fighters is piling up fast!) :p

So throughout the week, I expect some kick arse promos / interviews / training segments / whatever your heart fancies from you guys. No pressure, though. ;);)

And remember, Lance Decker is still richer than you...

<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Countdown to GDFC 4: Knockout Kings</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "Welcome back to the show. We've been taking a look at the great fight card the GDFC will be putting on this week. There are fights that im looking forward to, but without a doubt, hands down, the Light Heavyweight tournament is the highlight of this night. In the first semi-final we have Scott Irvana vs. Chris Thomas. This is a classic striker vs. wrestler matchup. It should be a great fight. Next up is the much anticipated fight between Shawn Stevens and Cole Simpson, its just too close to call. For more on this fight lets take a look at some highlights."</p><p> </p><p>

[View switches to Shawn Stevens pounding on an un-named opponent. Then knocking down another with a wicked looking left hook. The camera then moves in close capturing a very intimidating look after his most recent win.]</p><p> </p><p>

[Next up is a shot of Cole Simpson training in a gym. He is rolling going from one submission to another, the sparring partner is clearly outmatched and looks to be in considerable pain. The view switches to a Jiu Jitsu match where Cole takes his opponent down and quickly applies an armbar. A switch to an mma cage and again Cole is taking down his opponent, passing gaurd and locking in a kimura. The last images are of people tapping out and then Cole with his fist in the air in victory.]</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "Wow this could very well be the fight of the year. Im predicting whoever comes away with the victory in this one will win the whole tournament, becoming the GDFC Lightheavyweight champ. After the break we'll have an interview I recently had with 'The Icon' Cole Simpson."</p><p> </p><p>

[Preview of the upcoming GDFC 4: Knockout Kings]</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "Ok were back...Now im here in a small gym somewhere in Red Deer, Alberta to get to know one of Grey Dog Fighting Championships new fighters. Of course I am talking about Cole Simpson."</p><p> </p><p>

[Camera pans over to Cole sitting on a small chair.]</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "Cole you are being hailed as one of the best young fighters to come along in a long time. Where do you think all this hype is coming from?"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Cole Simpson></strong> "I may only be 19, but ive been training for this fight most of my life. Im the Jiu Jitsu under 20 world champion. If I take you down, your in for a world of pain. Like it or not, no one has seen a fighter with my world class jiu jitsu skills in mma. All these guys want to do is beat on each other and see who is left standing. I dont have any respect for them, go to any club on a Saturday night and you can find plenty of guys with those same skills. It's taken me 12 years of my life to build my jiu jitsu to this level."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "You clearly dont like to hold back, what do you think of your opponent Shawn Stevens?"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Cole Simpson></strong> "...Shawn Stevens......had better train. He had better work on his takedown defence. He had better work on his submission defence. He had better work on his cardio. You know, he might as well work on his tap out skills while he's at it, because he doesnt stand a hope in hell of beating me."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "Ok wow lets just calm down a bit, this is a family show. You may have the edge on the ground, but wouldnt you agree that Shawn Stevens has the edge standing?"</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Cole Simpson></strong> "The only thing Stevens has over me is his height, and that wont matter when I drop him on his head. This guy pounds on couple fat, out of shape losers and suddenly he's a knockout machine? Screw that, you will all find out soon enough just how mediocre has standup really is. And as for you, this interview is over. Next time come a little more prepaired, you come off as a high school dropout."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "Ah ok. I wish i could say its been a pleasure. Good luck with the fight."</p><p> </p><p>

[The show goes once more to a preview of GDFC 4]</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><Announcer></strong> "Well as you can all see, 'The Icon' Cole Simpson is ready to show the world his skills. He may need to, because Shawn Stevens will be standing in his way. Thank you for joining us tonight and I hope you will check out GDFC 4, its shaping up to be a great night of fights."</p><p> </p><p>

[View goes to the GDFC logo and then briefly to a legal disclaimer]</p><p> </p><p>

<p>[The screen fades in to Jordan Carpe, he is standing in a gym, a small microphone attached to his collar. Beside him, wearing a sweat covered grey t-shirt and black shorts is "Superstar" Shawn Stevens. Stevens towels off his forehead, and drapes the towel around his neck, all the while looking rather annoyed.]</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: I'm here with "Superstar" Shawn Stevens, one of the four competitors in the upcoming GDFC Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Shawn, you're relatively new to MMA. Your semi-final match will be fight number 3 in your young career. It must feel pretty good to have a shot at becoming a champion so early on. </p><p> </p><p>

Stevens: It does feel good, but I expect nothing less from myself. I am a highly decorated collegiate wrestler, and I expect to be put in situations like this title tournament. I may be new to MMA, but I am not new to competition. I've been training for years, mentally preparing for matches, cutting weight, doing all of the things that are also necessary to be a winner as a professional mixed martial artist. I know I'm the best Light Heavyweight in GDFC, and not putting me in this tournament would have been a huge mistake.</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: Cole Simpson seems to believe differently.</p><p> </p><p>

Stevens: Who?</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: Your opponent in the first round? "The Icon" Cole Simpson...</p><p> </p><p>

Stevens: The guy flappin' his gums about his supposedly superior ground game? The guy who thinks he's going to tap me out? The guy who thinks I need to work on my cardio? THAT guy?</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: You're paraphrasing, but that's about what he said...</p><p> </p><p>

Stevens: If Cole Trickle thinks I need to work on my cardio...</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: Cole Simpson...</p><p> </p><p>

Stevens: Simpson... Whatever... Does it really matter? After GDFC 4, he's just going to be another tick in my win column... But if that guy thinks his cardio is better than mine, he's in for a rude awakening. If he thinks his jiu-jitsu skills are going to save him from a beating, he's sadly mistaken. Jiu-Jitsu is great until I start elbowing him in his face. Listen Cole... My stand-up is better, and my ground game is better. This is going to be a LONG night for you.</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: If you get by Cole...</p><p> </p><p>

[steven rolls his eyes, and then glares at Carpe. Carpe sees this but continues on though with a bit of a regretful look.]</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: ... You face the winner of the Scott Irvana, Chris Thomas match-up.</p><p> </p><p>

Stevens: And kick their ass too. Look Jordan, we can keep playing Q and A, or I can just state it plain and simple, so let's do that so I can get back to work.</p><p> </p><p>

[stevens look directly into the camera.]</p><p> </p><p>

Stevens: Ladies and Gentlemen, you are looking at the man who WILL be the first GDFC Light Heavyweight Champion, bet your house on it... Now, Jordan, if you'll excuse me.]</p><p> </p><p>

[stevens turns and walks away.]</p><p> </p><p>

Carpe: That fight is going to be a war.</p><p> </p><p>

[The screen fades to black.]</p>

(OOC: So another thing about schedules; sometimes things get done early, and sometimes things get done late. If early, consider it a pleasant surprise. If late, please don't complain; it's safe to assume real life stuff is going on. If it's super late, then it's cool to inquire what's going on. Incidentally, GREAT fun interviews written; kudos to Moose & csimpson...oh, and derek_b for his interview way back when.)

Alex Emerson: “Thanks Cam, glad to be here. We have 7 match tonight, and we’re just moments away from the first bout beginning.”

Cammy Leve: “Before the action starts, let’s quickly run down tonight’s GDFC show. Main event of the evening; the finals of tonight’s tournament for the GDFC Light Heavyweight title. In the first semi final, ‘The Instant Classic’ Scott Irvana (4-0, 0-0 GDFC) will take on ‘The Ace’ Chris Thomas (0-0, 0-0 GDFC).”

Alex Emerson: “C. Thomas has the better wrestling, but may have trouble getting close enough as Irvana has the superior striking game. If we see the fight go to the mat, C. Thomas will have the big advantage. I’m going to predict a victory for Christ Thomas.”

Cammy Leve: “In the second semi final, ‘Superstar’ Shawn Stevens (2-0, 0-0 GDFC) competes against ‘The Icon’ Cole Simpson (1-0, 0-0 GDFC).”

Alex Emerson: “Simpson has a clear advantage on the ground in this fight, so expect to see him working towards takedowns quite often. Whether or not Stevens can keep it standing – and I don’t think that he can – will be the key to who wins the match.“

Cammy Leve: "Uhm...you didn't predict for anyone to win..."

Alex Emerson: "I'm sorry, what?"

Cammy Leve: “Never mind. Our co-main event will see a match from the Women’s Middleweight division as Karen ‘The Demon’ Curtis (7-1, 0-0 GDFC) fights Yuya ‘Poison Ivy’ Shimizu (7-0, 1-0 GDFC). The GDFC Women’s Middleweight title on the line in this match.”

Alex Emerson: “Curtis has the better stand-up game of the two fighters. Shimizu is at a clear disadvantage if the fight goes to the ground. As for a winner…I’ll go for Yuya Shimizu.”

Cammy Leve: “’The Human Arsenal’ Joan Whitehouse (2-0, 1-0 GDFC) will battle ‘Colorado Rapid’ Emma Birch (7-5, 0-1 GDFC) in the Women’s Heavyweight division.”

Alex Emerson: “Whitehouse is at a clear disadvantage while the fight remains standing. Whitehouse is at a clear disadvantage if the fight goes to the ground. I’m going to predict a victory for Joan Whitehouse.”

Cammy Level: “But…you just said…”

Alex Emerson: “What?”

Cammy Leve: “Forget about it. Anyways, ‘The Merchant Of Menace’ Mason Archer (0-0 0-0 GDFC) will take on Terry ‘Sitting’ Bull (1-0, 1-0 GDFC) in the Heavyweight division.”

Alex Emerson: “It’ll be interesting to see how Bull handles Archer while standing, as he is at a clear disadvantage there. I can’t see Bull wanting to go to the ground, that would play right into the hands of Archer. I have a feeling that Terry Bull will win, so that’s my prediction.”

Cammy Leve: “But…you just did it again!”

Alex Emerson: “I did what again?”

Cammy Leve: “You talked about how terrible Terry Bull is, then predicted him to win!”

Alex Emerson: “What?! I can’t root for the underdog!”

Cammy Leve: “No, but you have to transition to it! You can’t just say ‘This guy’s not as good for the other guy…I’m rooting for the crappier guy!’ You need to transition to it. You need to tell why, in spite of him being at a severe disadvantage, you’re rooting for him! Say something like 'Even though it's a long shot, I've seen Terry Bull train, and the guy has a heart of a champion. So I have a feeling that Terry Bull will win, so that’s my prediction.'”

Alex Emerson: “Okay Mister ‘I’m Cammy Leve! I make stupid puns!’ Terrible Terry Bull?! Please! You know what, how about you don’t tell me how to do my job Cammy!”

Cammy Leve: “I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT WHEN WE’RE ON LIVE!”

Alex Emerson: “Fine…Cameron.”

Cammy Leve: “…Chris ‘Will Get It’ Dunn (0-0, 0-0 GDFC) goes head to head with Hardy Tristan (0-0, 0-0 GDFC) in the Light Heavyweight division.”

Alex Emerson: “As long as he comes in with a good gameplan, Dunn should be able to make his superior skills emphatically count. In my mind there’s only one way to predict this – Dunn should win. Now, help me crack open this wine bottle.”

Cammy Leve: “No.”

Alex Emerson: “Oh come on!”

Cammy Leve: “…I’ll think about it.”

No, it's just sleep deprivation. :o:p

Edited my snafu out of the post. Though I must say, to give you an idea of how tired I was when I posted that. I was thinking: "Oh, let's get the champions over with!" Of course, I forgot that you can only book one tournament per event.

*The Cameras scan the distant mountains before slowly zooming in on a figure that is quickly running up on of the lush and green slopes.Grunting and heavy breathing fill the air as the figure finally reaches the top of the mountains coming to a stop near the edge*

(A voice is suddenly heard)

"In the Highlands of Scotland, a new breed of Warrior is arising, and there Champion..."

*The camera then shows the figure a tall and well built young man*

"Alexander Middleton!"

*Heavy Metal is played as highlight reels of Alexanders fights are played, mainly his slick standup, finally the clip ends with the belt being put around his waist*

(Pan view to a mountain camp)

Interviewer:"We are here with the current Champion Alexander Middleton, he recently won a Tournament and the Belt, hes here to give us his thoughts and insight on MMA and his current situation"

Alexander Middleton:"Hi everyone!, This is my first time doing this so I hope its good (laughs) I first want to thank all my friends, family and of course the organization and the fighters! My opponents were tough and they all showed alot of heart, I found out alot about myself during the Tournament specifically my strengths and weaknesses."

*Brief Pause shows Alexander working his punching power as well as his kick techniques. At one point he throws a flying knee at the bag sending it backwards*

"I really want to help the sport as a whole to progress. I want to be the guy thats 50 years old, has his own gym whos teaching kids to be more confident. And then I want those kids to surpass me and kick my ass! (Laughs again)"

*The members of Alexanders Training Team form up, some including Alexander Middletoin in Kilts, a photo is taken as some words from Alexander are spoken*

"To all my future opponents, I wish you well and good luck lads!"

ABC News Report

(The screen jumps in to a street filled with broken-down homes and buildings that have not been useful for years upon years. The camera lens stares longingly at this sea of despair.)

Voiceover: "From this street in the Over the Rhine area of Cincinnati, Ohio, came a man that wears his heart on his sleeve, a man who lays it all out on the line when he must, a man who is as intense and as driven as any man in the world."

(The screen cuts to another scene, showing "The End of Days" Brandon Alger staring out at this street and the buildings, his GDFC Middleweight Championship strapped over his right shoulder. The sun is glaring down at Alger and the belt, and the belt shines brightly due to the sun's glares.)

Voiceover: "That man is Brandon Alger, the Middleweight champion of the Grey Dog Fighting Championship MMA organization."

(Another cut. This time, we cut to a scene that shows Alger hanging out with an older couple and a man who looks about the same age. Chances are, this is Alger's family.)

Voiceover: "Alger has lived in Cincinnati his entire life, and, even though he has become very successful in his ultra-violent profession, he has no desire to move out of his hometown any time soon."

Brandon Alger: "Cincinnati is the only city that I've ever called my home, and that's the way that it is going to stay for a long time. It would take an act of God to push me out of Cincinnati."

Voiceover: "Those at you watching at home may be wondering why someone from such a violent sport would feel this adamant about not moving away from his hometown. But Brandon Alger is not your average Mixed Martial Artist. In addition to being a champion and a rising star in the sport, Alger is one of the nicest fighters to ever step foot into the MMA world."

Jordan Carpe, "The Voice of GDFC": "I have talked to Brandon on two separate occasions, and he is, without a doubt, one of the most intelligent and humble fighters that I've ever come across. Outside of the cage, that is."

(Cut to scenes of Alger pummeling opponents from both GDFC and his fights prior to his arrival. The footage, mostly, points out how much of an animal Alger is in the cage, as opposed to the kinder, gentler Alger outside of the cage.)

Voiceover: "Outside of the cage, Brandon Alger is a kind, gentle, intelligent man who prides himself on being faithful to everything that came before today. Inside the cage, Alger is almost unrecognizable. His steely, almost inhuman stare, and his willingness to destroy another human being would scare even the toughest of tough guys."

Jordan Carpe: "Alger's emotions change so much when he enters the cage that I would argue that the guy in the cage and the guy outside of the cage are not the same person. In the cage, Alger may be one of the most depraved and vicious fighters I've ever seen. The sad thing is that most of our great GDFC fans have never seen this Alger. But they will see it. It's only a matter of time."

(We cut to more footage of Alger standing on that broken-down street, looking around, taking everything in.)

Voiceover: "So the question, then, that has to be on everyone's mind would be, 'How does Brandon Alger keep his alter ego from appearing outside of the cage?'"

Brandon Alger: "Honestly, when I'm not fighting, I'm as lovely, as wonderful, as charming of a guy as you will ever come across. I treat everyone equally, I am very nice to the strangest stranger, and I have rarely spoken a truly harsh word about anyone. When I'm in the cage, that all goes away, and all I can think about is how much I want to destroy the guy who is standing across from me. But it all goes away as soon as the fight is over. It always has. It's as if I turn it on when I step into the cage, and it goes right back off the moment the fight is over. Heck, I usually feel bad for the guy I fight after the fact, because, sometimes, I go too far with my beatings. That has to say a lot about the kind of human being that I am."

Voiceover: "More than he may even know. Ken Abernathy, ABC News."

(OOC: Great interviews guys)

The company has completed the signings of Angelina Keiff and Tracy Garcia. This news is said to please the GDFC president for a variety of reasons.

GDFC 5: All Out

Monday, Week 3, March 1999

Las Vegas, Nevada

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u8/Actarus96/WMMA%202%20Grey%20Dog%20Dynasty/CameronLeve05.gifhttp://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u8/Actarus96/WMMA%202%20Grey%20Dog%20Dynasty/AlexEmerson07.gif

Cameron Leve and Alex Emerson

Who doesn’t love an underground bunker / wine cellar? And exactly WHY is he staring at Cammy?

Cammy Leve: “Hello everyone, I’m Cameron Leve and you’re listening to Blurcat’s live coverage of GDFC 5: All Out.

We have 6 matches tonight, and we’re just moments away from the first bout beginning.”

Cammy Leve: “Before the action starts, let’s quickly run down tonight’s GDFC show. Main event of the evening; the finals of tonight’s tournament for the GDFC Heavyweight title. In the first semi final, ‘Perfection’ C. M. Henry (5-0, 0-0 GDFC) will battle ‘The Destroyer of Worlds’ Jack Jobber (0-5, 0-0 GDFC).”

Alex Emerson: “Jobber is the better striker, but will need to be careful not to get too close as Henry has superior wrestling skills. I can’t see Jobber wanting to go to the ground, that would play right into the hands of Henry. My prediction is that C. M. Henry will take the victory tonight.”

Cammy Leve: In the second semi final, ‘The Great Japanese Hope’ Kanezane Fujii (0-0, 0-0 GDFC) will battle Alexis ‘Little Man’ Simmons (3-0, 0-0 GDFC).”

Alex Emerson: “Standing, to could be a back and forth bout; Simmons has better striking, but Fujii is the better wrestler. Simmons needs to avoid being taken down if he can, Fujii is much more dangerous if it goes to the ground. I have a feeling that Kanezane Fujii will win, so that’s my prediction.”

Cammy Leve: “Our co-main event will see a match from the Heavyweight division as ‘Switchblade’ Chris sharp (2-0, 0-0 GDFC) takes on Eugene ‘The Bear’ Clough (37-34-2, 0-0 GDFC) in what will be Clough’s final match."

Alex Emerson: “This will be a classic wrestler versus striker match. The key will be whether Sharp can keep Clough at a distance. If he can, Clough won’t be able to get close enough to grapple and that will severely dent his hopes of victory.”

Cammy Leve: “Glad to hear you snuck in a prediction there…oh wait, you didn’t! Moving on, Dorothy ‘Hurricane Warning’ Gayle (0-0, 0-0 GDFC) goes head to head with Marion Reynolds (0-0, 0-0 GDFC) in the Women’s Lightweight division.”

Alex Emerson: “If it turns into a stand-up fight it is hard to decide which fighter would have the advantage, they’re very evenly matched. Gayle needs to avoid being taken down if she can, Reynolds is much more dangerous if it goes to the ground. My prediction is that Marion Reynolds will take the victory tonight.”

Cammy Leve: “Toni Dietrich (2-1, 0-1 GFC) battles Jessica ‘Angel Eyes’ Herbig (0-1, 0-0 GDFC) in the Women’s Middleweight division.”

Alex Emerson: “The battle of the hot chicks if I don’t say so myself! They have BOTH got it going, girl! Anyways, Dietrich will want to use her striking to keep Herbig from getting close enough to wrestle. If the fight goes to the ground it would be a very evenly matched battle. As for a winner…I’ll go for Toni Dietrich.”
