Championship Wrestling Infinity

It was everyone's dream. Unemployed, bankrupt, and facing the harsh reality of having to live in my car... fate finally smiled down upon me. The big one. Five white balls, one red one... after taxes and as one lump sum, I had seven million dollars. Bills were paid. A house was bought. A nice car. Some for my folks, some for other family members.. and when all was said and done, after money was invested and I was sure I'd never have to worry about working again... I still had a million dollars left. What the hell, I figured, I'd start my own wrestling promotion. I had contacts in the wrestling business... mostly in the southwest, where Ino longer lived, but I'm sure I could convince some of those guys to come up here. Here, by the way, is Minnesota, USA. And so was born the newest Family Friendly wrestling promotion. Welcome to Championship Wrestling Infinity. From what I knew of the wrestling business, the most important thing I needed was a title belt. So I had one made. Oddly enough, it didn't cost me a dime. The next step was people... nine wrestlers, maybe. A manager, ref, road agent, announcer, and color person. I could handle DVD production myself until we got bigger. So, who to hire...

Starting with 0 prestige, 0 overness, it's all from scratch. Requests for negotiations were made. The team began to come together. At the same time, the other promotions were making thir own moves. MAW moved to a Small size. Releases began... mostly in Japan and Europe. Disapointment from the begining, as our chosen Road Agent and head of the booking advisory team, Corporal Doom, signed a written deal with TCW and inored us. We tried to make him another offer. Other responses came back... some wanted more money (I didn't want to run through the million dollars -too- quickly), others accepted their offers, and yet more signed with other companies. Two weeks later, the team had come together. Championship Wrestling Infinity Your announce team is Terry Smith and Micky Starr, and your in-ring referee is Jex McArthuer. Keeping things moving backstage is Corporal Doom. CWI Roster: Main Event (Face): Fox Mask, Remmy Skye, Snap Dragon Main Event (Heel): Frankie Perez, Insane Machine, Black Eagle Upper Midcard (Face): Jeremiah Moose, Little Bill Lebowski Upper Midcard (Heel): American Elemental, Flyin' Jimmy Fox Midcard (Heel): The Gilbert Brothers, Joe and Jesse Lower Midcard (Face): Zeus Maximillion Manager (Face): Persephone Now, we needed a show... and we'd have to avoid having it the same day as TCW, CZCW, USPW, WLW, SWF, and 4C. Maybe this was goin to be a bigger hadache than we thought...

Trouble started early. Doom didn't want to be a road agent. Son of a... It was time for our first-ever show as Championship Wrestling Infinity (Let's face it, we were basicly CZCW with a fe minor changes... and Family Friendly instead of Hybrid). We rented out the Ohio Jewish Center and decided to begin ou attempts to start the new company from scratch. Hey, even if it sucks, it's a show. That's all we need right now. December 2005, Week 3, Monday CWI: The Early Years Ohio Jewish Center --Backstage, Zeus finds someoen stole his back from his locker (C+). --Hype video for The Gilbert Brothers (F) --Jeremiah Moose over Black Eagle by DQ, 9:19 (C-) --American Elemental chalenges Zeus to a match, if he's not busy (C-) --Persephone comes out in something slinky and shoots t-shirts into the crowd (A) --Elemental def. Zeus by pin, 8:37 (D) --Backstage, Eagle attacks Moose and leaves him lying (E) --Hype video for Snap Dragon vs Frankie Perez (E) --Snap Dragon def. Frankie Perez via submission, 9:40 (D) --Frankie offers Dragon a handshake, and he accepts (E) Final rating: D, with 13 people attending Well, not bad for using little-known wrestlers... there was hope for us yet. And at $10,000 a show, we had at least a year before we worry about losing money.

Starting the long road to the top: Welcome to the... eh, skip it, I'll never be able to come up with a witty line each post. Not that I was able to before... So, the first show was a D. Honestly, better thn we were expecting. With time and overness, that would start to go up. We just had to last that long. With judicious use of Persephone for distraction, we may even be able to make that higher. Before the next show, I made a minor change. Corporal Doom was now an active wrestling. Our dedicated road agent would be Sheik Mustafa. December 2005, Week 3, Monday CWI: The Early Years Ohio Jewish Center --American Elemental is confident that he'll win his match against Little Bil Lebowski (C-). As Elemental finishes his speech, someone passes by and wishes him luck... it's Corporal Doom, and he's dressed for action? (C+) --Elemental def. Lebowski by pinfall, 9:59 (D). --Hype video for 'The CWI Fliers', featuring Remmy Skye, Flyin' Jimmy Fox, and Jeremiah Moose (E), followed by Fox Mask challenging Black Eagle to a match (C-). --Fox Mask def. Black Eagle by pinfall with Mooseference, 9:55 (C-). --Persephone shoots t-shirts into the crowd (A*) --Frankie Perez def. Snap Dragon by P-Cutch, 8:45 (D) --Black Eagle demands Jeremiah Moose meet him in the ring to explain why he interefered in the match tonight. As Moose comes out, someone else comes out behind him... and Corporal Doom destroys the youngster on the ramp (C-). Final Rating: D, 18 people attending. Part of me wants to just throw together random shows until we hit a D level... but that wouldn't be fun, now would it? We'll keep going with storylines... and we should fit the title in there somewhere, too. We'd have to consider holding shows on a different day. Insane Machine and Terry Smith both worked Mondays.

It's the last week of 2005/first week of 2006, and you know what that means... a long post including all the year-end awards. Yay! First thing we did was move our show from Monday to Tuesday, to get Insane Machine on a show or two. And maybe get our announcer, Terry, back. But before the show: YEAR-END AWARDS!!!!!! Awards not listed had nobody eligible. Young Wrestler of the Year: Wolf Hawkins Vet WotY: Kazu Yoshizawa Female WotY: Junko Hayakawa Match of the Year: Mito Miwa over Yoshimi Mushashibo, PGHW Show of the Year: PHW: The King's Road .... Maybe we should've opened CWI in Japan. Hrm. By moving to Tuesdays, we'd essentially traded Terry for Micky, and Machine for Doom. We'd have to try a new day next week. January 2006, Week 1, Tuesday CWI: The Early Years Same place as before. --We start off with an arguement between Fyin' Jimmy Foxx and Fox Mask over the use of the name 'Fox'. The two agree to settle things in the ring (C-) --Frankie Perez def. Snap Dragon by cheating his arse off, 8:57 (D). Perez celebrates afterwards, now being up 2-0 in the Best Of Seven (E). --American Elemental cuts a promo on his opponent tonight, Remmy Skye (C-). --We get told of the main event for next week: Black agle and Corporal Doom vs Jeremiah Moose and a mystery partner (E) --Elemental def. Skye by pinfall, 8:57 (D) --Backstage, Perez finds Persephone and asks if she wants to go out with a man who is two and oh in a best of seven. Persephone tuns him down (c-). Elsewhere backstage, Flyin' Jimmy Foxx cuts a short promo about how he knows he'll beat Fox Mask (D). --Fox Mask def. Flyin' Jimmy Foxx by Foxhunter, 10:15 (C-). Fox retains the sole rights to use the name Fox in CWI. --Send 'Em Home Happy: Persephone shoots t-shirts into the crowd (A) Show Rating: D, 15 people attending. Ah, the joys of having D-rated shows be good. On the next CWI: A Wednesday show, as we play Musical Days.

Freestyle mode, with myself as the owner. One diary where failing a Straight Edge task costs you your job is enough for me, thanks. :) Maybe another one later. Black Eagle vs American Elemental? Well, both are heels right now... I guess it all depends on how things go. We'll need to crown a champion sometime...
One diary where failing a Straight Edge task costs you your job is enough for me, thanks.
Yeah, I started a new diary finally, but the limit of money you can have is $250.000.000. problem is this is where I started, Pistal Pete Harry took over the fed and told me I can not go below this or I lose my job :P hahaha, that teaches me huh :D

You have way too many workers. You should be doing monthly 30 minute shows. Maybe even less frequent than that as you get most of your money for sponsorship deals if you can sign all your workers for no downside(I did it). You should be able to do a 30 minute show with the minimum required workers. Go over the minimum to higher over guys to job to your workers to raise their momentum.

With the funds I have to burn through, I'm not. My main goal is to raise as fast as possible in popularity.

And we're back, after entirely to many posts without... well, anything. January 2006, Week 2 Same show same place, new night: Wednesday. Nobody is unavailable! Yippie skippy! Pre-announced matches: Black Eagle and Corporal Doom vs Jeremiah Moose and a mystery partner. --We start out announcing our opening match, Elemental vs. Flyin' Jimmy. (F) --We then move on to Corporal Doom trying to ask out Persephone, but getting turned down (C+). --Elemental def. Flyin' Jimmy in 7:41, illegal use of ropes (D). --Backstage, Snap Dragon and Frankie Perez exchange words, and then blows before they're seperated by... well, everyone (E). --Black Eagle and Corporal Doom def Jeremiah Moose and Fox Mask in 11:09, Eagle pins Moose (C). --After Eagle and Doom head backstage, Moose challenges Eagle to a one-on-one match (D). Backstage, Eagle accepts (C-) --Dragon def. P-Dawg in 8:56 (D). --Persephone sends 'em home happy and clothed (A*) Final Rating: C-, 15 paid tickets Looks like we'll be stopping at Wednesdays for a while... and coming up next, a tournament for the greatest honor in the CWI. No, not a title belt...
