Alright, I gots a question, looking for feedback.

I'm looking for a new Tournament/Title, any ideas for it ? For a Tournament, please explain what kind, for title, basically the same thing

It would make more sense if either of the high-flying Stone's were still with NOTBPW, but what about a Super Junior style high flier tournament?

Perhaps, that'd be something I could look into when I get them back :p

Well, you do have Dark Angel and Sean McFly who both work that style very well. Plus Dan Jr. is pretty good in that regard. There just aren't that many other quality ones on the roster. Maybe look at talent trade to bring in some of the guys from Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods?

While I do want to bring in some talent, I've got a Non-Hostile agreement with SWF, TCW, BHOTWG, PGHW and some of the other promotions, however, I'm considering switching the BHOTWG and TCW ones to Working Agreements, as well as getting some with CZCW, WLW and perhaps another, I don't have the game in front of me, so I'll have to check later

Hyde, I really like the idea of a Tap Out Tourney (Heh, I made a pun :p) sort of like the WWE Breaking Point Card, but just with the tournament regards, could be something that's held at September Scramble, and change the event to September Submissions :p

EDIT : Nevermind, Grappling Glory will now be the host of a new tournament, I'll post an article about it so people can properly understand it

More Tourneys on the Way for NOTBPW

NOTBPW Head Booker Scott Ripley announced recently that two new tournaments for North of The Border Pro Wrestling can be expected in the near future. In May, you can expect at Grappling Glory, the Grapplers Glory Finale where all the contenders from the two prior events, which are two episodes of Championship Wrestling. The First episode will feature 16 Men competing for a spot in the Quarter-Finals. The Second will feature the Eight returning competitors vie for a spot in the Semi-Finals. The Semi-Finals and Finals will be fought. The Four Remaining fighters will fight in the first two match-ups of the card, and will find out who they will be competing with in the finals. They will have 1 hour for preparations, before eventually having to compete again in the last match-up of the evening. Scott Ripley was unable to be reached for comments on the subject. Another feature, is that the whole tournament will be fought in Submission Based Match-Ups.

More Info on the Ed Henson Memorial event before we announce the second tournament. The same deal for Grapplers Glory, will go for the Memorial Tournament, as 16 Tag Teams will compete for a spot in the finals, over two episodes of Championship Wrestling, and fight in the Semis and Finals at the eventual Pay-Per-View. Four Teams have been confirmed for the Tournament : The Stone Siblings, The McWade Brothers, The Can-Am Blondes and The Fighting Irish.

NOTBPW obviously expects to get some new high-flyers for this tournament in September, as the September Scramblers Open will be contended, as 16 High-Flyers will compete for the Scramblers Championship. Again, The Same deal goes for all of NOTBPW's Tournaments, with one exception, the Jeopardy Lottery, which will be contended in one night. NOTBPW has been working for working agreements with BHOTWG, CZCW, TCW, WLW and one other promotion which will be revealed in a short amount of time. That's all the info on the tournaments that we have, so stay tuned to NOTBPW.ca for more info.

The Demolition Crew vs The Can-Am Blondes vs Thug Life

The Demolition Crew should really consider some training, as they were pretty much man-handled by the Can-Am Blondes. However, Thug Life were the first team eliminated, as Hardcore Killah was just too gassed out to tag out to Slim V. The Natural ended up pinning him in 7 Minutes. Not Before long, Owen Love got his pin, as he defeated Alysian Scottsfield just under 16 minutes.

The Can-Am Blondes win @ 15:52 with a Pinfall

Davis Wayne Newton vs Sayeed Ali

Sayeed Ali and Davis Wayne Newton knew how to put on a show in this match as Sayeed put on one of the best performances of his life. Davis had some trouble getting his footing, and Ali's quickness wasn't much help, but he eventually got into it, and shot in on Ali, before nearly securing the submission. Ali got out, and pounded away at Newton, and dropping elbows and punches by the dozen, before scoring the pin fall by G.B.H Driver.

Sayeed Ali wins @ 8:01 with a G.B.H Driver

The Fighting Irish vs The McWade Brothers

The McWades weren't really challenged tonight, and it showed in their performances. Throwing lazy punches and not following through on their takedowns and slams really itched at that crowd. But the Irish weren't able to do anything about it, which allowed the McWades to win with a McWade Face Wash.

The Kelowna Playaz © vs The Conglomerate

NOTBPW Tag Team Championship

The Kelowna Playaz didn't have their usual support tonight, as this was the first match they fought without Street Cred, and it didn't help that The Conglomerate had the American Invasion behind them. But, The Kelowna Playaz put on a brutal showing of Street Fighting and All Out War-Fare. Danny Rushmore showed some good slams, but was unable to take the speed of Gregg Boone and Craig Green, and American Machine was just too exhausted by the 8th Minute to care. Green and Boone hit the double team pinfall, and pinned Rushmore in nearly 18 minutes.

The Kelowna Playaz win @ 17:42 with a Pinfall

Grade : C

Tommy London : Alright, so good first couple matches, and now we're at the main card.

Joanne Rodriguez vs Melody Cuthill ©

NOTBPW Women's Championship

Melody Cuthill had her toughest challenge to date, as she was handed a hardcore battle against Joanne Rodriguez, who pushed the pace continually, and didn't let up until she was smacked by a right hook from Melody Cuthill. The Champ did not let up the pace when it was her turn to attack, and the match turned into a one-on-one slugging battle, with Melody getting the better of the attack. Joanne got back into the game and shot under and attempted a J-Rocker, but Melody stuffed it and got her back. Going for the mounted position, she was turned over, and Joanne stood back up hitting some nice stomps and kicks. Melody got up, and punched Rodriguez right in the gut, and dropped down for the Melody Maker, and got the pin, securing yet another title defense.

Melody Cuthill wins @ 18:19 with a Melody Maker

Dan Stone Jr vs Dark Angel

Dark Angel's High Flying was matched by another incredible high flyer in Dan Stone Jr. Although it was not his primary style, he still put on an outstanding showdown between top notch contenders. Stone hit one brutal knee to the jaw, and collapsed the Brit, before pounding him out. Dark Angel got out of danger and started shooting out with Stone again, but it did not help him out, because Dan was ready with a Stone Throw, and mounted Angel. He started throwing down punches but Angel bucked him off, and found enough time to get to the ropes and climb to the top. Stone got up, and Angel tried a Dark Rana but Stone stuffed it and threw him off. Angel got back up and took a massive clothesline and takes some brutal ground and pound from Stone, who got a hold of the Stone Ankle Stretch, and taps Angel at 28:20.

Johnny Bloodstone © vs Jeremy Stone

NOTBPW Canadian Championship

Jeremy Stone really worked hard for this match-up tonight, because his performance really paid off for him, dominating Bloodstone throughout the first 10 minutes of the match. Landing one brutal slam after another before getting the Stone Throw reversed into a Bloodstone Mutilation, where he barely escaped. Bloodstone got back up and started brawling with Stone. Stone slipped to the canvas after avoiding a tough shot from Bloodstone, and Bloodstone took advantage, getting top position and pounding away at Stone. The Champ didn't let up until he was kicked away and nailed by a vicious right hook from Jeremy who landed 3 more until Bloodstone fell to the canvas. Stone pounded away with both hands and didn't let up the attack until he got a hold of the Stone Hold, and got the tap-out.

Jeremy Stone wins @ 30:11 with a Stone Hold

Grade : A*

Tom Townsend : Woah.

Tommy London : You're telling me Tom, That was Incredible !

Tom Townsend : And To Close off our show, we've got one last segment and I think this is the most interesting one of all.

Johnny Bloodstone lost his title at Clash Classic, and is looking for a rebound victory over the other Stone, Dan Stone Jr, in a 30 Minute One-On-One Battle between two dangerous opponents who are always looking for a win. But that's only the co-main event, as Jeremy Stone defends his title against the Big Man, Dallas McWade. Dallas, who got a shot at Johnny Bloodstone earlier this month, earned his shot dominating the Fighting Irish in a lopsided affair. Stone will have his hands full in this fight for sure. Maverick is back in the ring, and has a tough challenge on his hands as he fights Sayeed Ali. The fast paced man that hails from 4C will put on the best performance of his life as he fights for a title shot, and the very first match of the night will showcase Dark Angel and R.K. Hayes in a brutal battle between two very dangerous fighters. It should be a great show !

Dark Angel vs R.K. Hayes -Battle of the oldies but Angel still has more skill and is less old and needs some momentumback.

John Maverick vs Sayeed Ali- Ali isn't that over or skilled yet.

Dan Stone Jr vs Johnny Bloodstone - Bloodstone's bad form vs the stones will continue making him eventually meaner and picking up wins again. WOuld also try to find a reason to make this the main event.

Jeremy Stone © vs Dallas McWade - One's a Stone the other a McWade nuff said.

Dark Angel vs R.K. Hayes

Dark Angel was finally able to show off his high flying skills, as he dropped R.K. quickly and immediately jumped on him. After a brutal clothesline, R.K. whipped Angel into the ropes with an Irish Whip, before getting countered with a brutal flying kick from Dark Angel, who immediately got to the top rope. As R.K. was getting up, Angel hit the Hurricane Rana, and took R.K. to the ground and again ran to the ropes before hitting the 5-Star Frogsplash. Hayes got up and hit a nice hook, but was countered by a DDT from Dark Angel. Angel went for the pin, but was kicked off. He hit the Descent into Hell. He got the pin, and got the three count, and finished the fight.

John Maverick vs Sayeed Ali

Maverick looked as crisp as he ever was tonight. Ali was incredibly strong, but Maverick just picked him apart with nice, quick jabs and kicks, before rushing him to the ground. After some good ground and pound, Ali let his guard down and got caught in the Deadly Silence, and was nearly forced to tap, but escaped at just the right time. Ali got up and fired off some punches but got caught by a crazy up-kick, before getting tripped back to the canvas, and this time, the Deadly Silence worked, as John Maverick took the win.

Johnny Bloodstone vs Dan Stone Jr

Johnny Bloodstone was on the rebound from losing his title at Clash Classic. But Stone was just too quick and too strong for Bloodstone tonight. Bloodstone's each and every move was countered by Stone, who escaped all of Bloodstone's submission attempts, and countered them with quick stiff punches. Bloodstone got up and was bloodied up by the 10th minute. After getting caught by the Stone Ankle Stretch, he attempted to escape but was still stuck. After being let go by Stone, he was brutally beaten again, with some nice ground and pound, he tried again and caught Bloodstone this time. Bloodstone was obviously in pain, and tapped out to the ankle lock in a stunning victory from Stone.

Jeremy got into an brawl with the Mountain Man, who got his second title shot tonight. Jeremy shot in with some brutal hooks and battered his way in to a clinch, where he hit a nice Superplex, and put McWade on his back. McWade got caught again with an Irish Whip into the ropes, and a slick clothesline. Jeremy tried the pin, but was kicked off. McWade continued to strike with desperation, but was unable to escape the gauntlet of strikes from the monster that was Jeremy Stone. Stone continued to punch away, and landed one brutal hook that collapsed McWade to a knee, before eating another one that collapsed him for one last time before getting submit by the Stone Hold.

I'm Taking a guess here, but perhaps the Mystery Opponent, If he's popular in Canada, and Johnny Bloodstone is already wrestling, Angel probably won't be Main Eventing, and Jeremy probably won't fight at this event. And you did say that the CGC relationship could be altered in the future, may we see an appearance from a DeColt ? ;)

DeColt kept punching, and did not let up, but Stone grabbed onto his legs, and tripped him to the ground, this time managing to get a hold on DeColt, and pounding away himself. DeColt bucked him off, and they got back to the feet, where Stone hit the Stone Throw, and floored DeColt, who was now too tired to get back up, probably winded as well. Stone continued punching away, but was unable to get hold of the pin. Stone continued trying, but was still unable to get it. DeColt, gassed was still fighting back, and putting on a show for the fans. He would not quit, and it got the fans going.
