all the data has been added im just testing my fed out and will send it to whoever needs it next pm me and ill send it on soon.

 

I decided to remove all the pics...its just too much hassle...so if anyone makes renders please pm me if you can make some for my fed thanks

I believe some of these are from a collection of 1250 images that I put out many years ago of images I found on the web, cropped and resized. They've been cut and rebackgrounded, but unless it happened to be your site I took these from five or so years ago, I'd suggest having new renders made. Since these were images I found on the web, I obviously did not obtain permission for their use, so their inclusion in the mod would violate the rules of the forum. I know they have been used by others in the past, but since the rules concerning use of images were added to the forum, they really should not be used for any mods. I use them for my private games if additional pics are needed, but other than that, I no longer mention their existence.

 

The following six I know come from those collections, others I'm not sure about:

these pics are renders i found on the net myself i found them myself, cut and resized them..the site i found them on has not been updated for over 5 years so dont think it would be a problem..if kobe dont want them to be added then thats fine with me.i thought the rule was about taking other peoples work from these boards which i have not done anyway.

I expect we both took them from the same site, as I'm fairly certain those six were all done by the same person. Just odd that our cuts are exactly the same for those six pictures, including the messed up shoulders on the second guy. Then again, the site you got them from may have taken them from my posts, as it was 2005 when I posted the five zip files of my cuts to the web.

 

The rule doesn't read that it only applies to people's work from these boards, although I do think some may interpret it that way. Of course such a reading is completely hypocritical, since if it is wrong to take the work of members of these boards, it is equally wrong to take the work of other artists. I think it would be better for the mod if it doesn't include items taken from the web like this, but as you say that is Kobe's decision to make.

Apparently no cropping/resizing was needed on these, as they are already just head shots. That's why yours look exactly the same as mine from 2005; just put on a new background.

 

As for whether or not they should be used, that's really a decision up to Kobe and those of you involved in putting this together. Adam/GDS is unlikely to do anything if you do use them, as Lebron is unlikely to show up here and complain. Personally, I think it would be better if all of the images were created just for the mod, but I recognize that may be difficult to achieve.

Yeah I would say that it is Kobe's call on that. Just because Kobe is doing all of the renders for this mod.

 

Adam just announced TEW2010 for early next year. So do you all think that we should stop working on this and wait for that game to come out? Or just continue doing what we are doing?

sorry if it is not the argument of the topic, but is there a way to download this collection...I have always liked playing with effganic mod and this could really help me get involved in my games....

I think we should keep working on the mod. We can always port it over to TEW 2010 and continue it. ^_^

 

I'm going to work on some renders as soon as I have some time. This is just a really busy time, but I don't have any quit in me guys, promise. :p

 

As for the other renders, since they are from another person who didn't giver permission I personally want to refrain from using them but if anyone feels strongly about using them I won't complain. :)

I've never removed the zip files, so they are all still out there. Here are the direct links:

250 images in each file, of various quality and styles. All were simply images found on the web and then cropped and resized for use in TEW.

I really can not tell the difference in size. However, if you think they should all be roughly the same size, I agree.

My bad guys, I've been busy as sin the past couple of weeks, so now I'm back to work on this. There seem to be enough promotions and my guys don't really have a ton of continuity or connections between them, so they can all be free agents.

 

Well to be honest most of these promotions in the data do not have continuity or connection with each other. Hopefully that will change when more data is added into the mod.

 

That being said, I think that Mason Schmidt's bio might fit in with the FLI promotion based out of Ireland. It is a promotion full of brawlers and it would seem to me that Mason would be a perfect fit for that promotion. And FLI does need some more workers. Just a suggestion, I did not create FLI so I am not sure if whomever did create it would want someone to mess with it.

 

Also, if you do not want to create a promotion of your own. I could use some of your workers in one of my promotions. In fact AJ Samuels and Zane Quinn would probably fit in quite well with my promotion in Florida. That is if you would not mind putting them there.

I have no idea who has the data, the last time I got a look at it was back in September....:)

 

I wonder how these new features in 2010, are going to affect what we have already done.

 

Also another quick thought, should we push back the in-game starting date for the mod. I mean by the time this is anywhere near finished, January 2010 will be long gone. Maybe, we should start in later on in the year.

 

If anyone wants to claim the guys, that's fine. I can send you the spec's for them, or if you just want to work off of the bio, that's fine as well. I'll probably be posting a few more in the near future, I think I've got 3 that aren't up yet.

 

I would be more then happy to add anybody's characters into one of my feds. The last time I had the data I was suffering from writers block and so a good portion of my promotions are not filled. So if there is anybody who does not want to create a new promotion, but still wants to create a few wrestlers. By all means either post their bios in here and list the stats or fire me a pm. I will gladly give them a home.

 

I am looking for heavyweight wrestlers who suck in the ring for BSW and high flying wrestlers for my promotions based out of Hawaii and Florida.

Let's give Fullhouse a few days to confirm if he has the data or not. If he doesn't say anything we can just work from Paulskins data and whoever wants it can have it.
