Maximus
I know Arlie's gonna love this one. :) I hope that this thread can be a place for all fellow Bear fans to unite and stand strong. While I admit that the season may be tough since we have a young, "un-seasoned" quarterback I still believe that Angelo made some great moves in the off-season. Thomas Jones in the back field & Adewale Ogunleye at DE are great moves IMO.
Danny
I'm not a Bears fan, but I did draft Thomas Jones on to all 3 of my fantasy football teams. I think he's going to have very good season.
rvd2kewl
Thomas Jones looked outstanding in the preseason. He showed a great burst, terrific vision, and made a lot of guys miss. I'm not sure if it's the blocking scheme or if he's just starting to reach that potential but he's been one of the real bright spots thus far. I say they'll go 8-8 or 9-7. They wont do any worse than last year. Not with Shoop gone and Shea calling the plays.

Maximus
Well now with the loss of Jerry Azumah, Mike Brown, Charles Tillman and maybe even Urlacher for this weeked...things arne't looking good. The Bears need to establish the ground game in order to control the clock. The Vikes are 32nd in pass D so Grossman must have a good day as well. Maximus
Hmm, no response from Arlie as I thought that he was a Packer fan. Well, I can understand because after all the Bears spanked the Pack. :D

Maximus
Heh, good luck with Hutch... Bwahahahaha!!!
LOL, yeah I know. I did read that he has a very strong arm but accuracy is off. Angelo is the one that got him to come back to football from baseball too. I expect Chad to start in about 3 weeks time. If Quinn can prove himself Sunday then that may change. Man, losing Grossman sucks. That guys showed promise. I wish the best for him. All in all I really do think that the Bears will beat the Eagles this Sunday. My gut feeling says 20-13 Bears or 27-14 Bears. :)
TC Dale
Sorry, Maximus. Bears arent going to be that close. :) Eagles have this game, this week, I hate to see the Monsters of the Midway struggle, but Philly has the horses to bury the Bears. I really think Chicago is going to hang in for a half, but the Philly offense will wear them out. :)

I saw way too much of Hutch over the past couple of years and while he may have a very strong arm, that's his only asset. He has little accuracy and is less mobile than Dan Marino...after his achilles injury.

Maximus
Well, after 2-3 weeks of seeing Quinn, I have determined, as many other Bear fans have, that Quinn is NOT an NFL QB. Things that Chicago should be working on: * penalties (esp like the stupid ones David Terrel causes) * Terry Shea needs to be more unpredictable in his offensive play calling. He admits that this is indeed a problem (according to chicagobears.com) but having a QB that can actually perform will help that situation out. I hate to say it but it's almost as if John Shoop never left Chicago. While I truely believe that Shea is better than Shoop, being Ranked 30th in total offense doesnt see it that way. Nor does the fans. * The Bears D. The defense needs to stop the 3rd & long conversions. This has killed the Bears for the last 3 weeks. While I can understand that the Bears offense is basically keeping the defense on the field more than they should be (offense going 3 & out on almost every possesion) they should still step up and stop the conversions. There are some positives for the Bears. Thomas Jones (FA RB from Tampa Bay) has truley been a great pick up. He is ranked 13th in the NFL rushing for 510 yards on 116, which = 4.4 ypc and has rushed for 5 TD's. While these stats may not live up some standards among other great RBs in the NFL, one has to remember that Jones has only averaged 16 carries per game for the last 3 weeks. This coincides with the loss of Rex Grossman in week 3 vs.the Vikings. Since then he has less productvity due to an incompetent QB (Quinn) and a more predictable offense which also states further that the QB situation in Chicago is bad. My hope is that Craig Krenzel (R) can lead this team into some battles with some confidence. The low-down is that the Bears need a leader on offense and Craig Krenzel may be that type of leader the bears need. Craig Krenzel going 24-3 at Ohio State says something about his leadership.
