I liked the way you had me thinking that Luger was going to be the 4th Horseman (I am probably the only one) and made it Sting. You were right I did not see that coming at all. I knew it was going to be a former Horseman (once again I was thinking Luger or Windham) but Sting never crossed my mind as he was a Horseman for only a short period of time.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Glad you enjoyed the card! Luger was a bit of red herring in all of this to throw people off track. I hope you enjoyed the speech that Sting made at the end as well.</p>

Just like the speech you wrote it was a great speech. My only thing is, and this has nothing to do with you because I know for a fact that you will write him as a good heel, I have always hated Sting as a heel. I know he was one when he was in a tag team with the Dingo Warrior but for me he is a terrible heel. The fans just want to cheer him to much like Ricky Steamboat, so he never really takes as a heel. Yes WCW and TNA have tried it as well but he never really changed totally.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The Nasty Boys vs. <strong>The Blue Bloods</strong></p><p> </p><p> <em>The Blue Bloods are a team on the rise and the Nasty Boys are a glorified jobber team.</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Steiner Brothers</strong> vs. Men At Work</p><p> </p><p> <em>The Steiner Bros. are not going to lose to the Men at Work if they do I will be sick.</em></p><p> </p><p> Johnny B. <p><strong><em>Monday, Week 4, January 1996</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;">It's been a short while since I updated here on my status. WCW is continuing on without a hitch and the Clash of the Champions pay-per-view did an excellent buy rate. It has everyone here at Turner happy and that grows my confidence even higher.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;">

As I said before, I do not enjoy firing people but again it is something that must happen and right now there are 4 gentlemen getting their pink slips. Black Bart, known as Big Train Bart in WCW, Dave Sullivan, Craig Pittman and The Renegade are all leaving WCW before the Nitro show tonight. Of course we wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavors.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;">

WWF put on their annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view this year, only it was without a Royal Rumble. Is Vince running scared? I'm not exactly sure why he would change one of his biggest pay-per-view events of the year but all the dirt sheet writers though are giving the card overall a very high grade. The card was main evented by Undertaker and Vader defeating Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart in what was an excellent match...or so I heard. I still need to watch it today.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;">

Raven's debut on WCW Saturday Night was met with a mixed bag from the fans. However, he is someone that I can see going far within this business. It's why I hired him.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;">

Sting's turn, by the way, shocked most of the fans that I've talked with. But that is a good thing, showing we can still shock even the most hardcore of fans.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;">

I need to watch the Royal Rumble and get ready for Nitro tonight so I'll end with this. Always expect the unexpected.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:ARIAL;">

<p>Booker T vs. Road Warrior Animal</p><p>

I'm oing to say that the respective partners get involved and pandomonium breaks lose</p><p> </p><p>

WCW World Television Title Match: <strong>Diamond Dallas Page</strong> defends vs. Cobra</p><p>

I can almost envison it, Rig announcer (was Gary Michael Capetta or Dave Penzer at this time) Ladies and gentlemen your winner and NEW WCW Television champin The Cobra ??????-NOT HAPPENING</p><p> </p><p>

Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater vs. <strong>American Males</strong></p><p>

I'm a huge Dick Slater fan, but The American Males will make the little girls scream, maybe this would be an upset</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brian Pillman</strong> vs. Eddy Guerrero</p><p>

All kinds of awesomeness here...Boy I miss both these guys... I'm going with Pillmn at this point in time</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Who Will Rick Rude's Protege Be: This may be a long shot, but could be an interesting character development as Rude's protege, but how about <strong>Alex Wright</strong>....</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Kevin Sullivan</strong> vs. Jim Duggan</p><p>

Kevin Sullivan pulls out a spike and bloodies Duggan, hethen opens up a bag of snakes and pours all over Duggan... Probably not, but I'll still go with Sullivan</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit</strong> vs. The Nasty Boys</p><p>

Is it just me, but I've always thought the Nasty Boys were bums... You know how people use the phrase that they just are to "Indy Looking" Thats what I would've called the Nast Boys</p><p> </p><p>

Randy Savage and Lex Luger vs. <strong>Sting and Ric Flair</strong></p><p>

Got to build on the big momentum of the new Horsemen.... Real nice twist by the way</p>

I was hoping to get to work on this card as part of my stuff today but I've been feeling really bad here lately. I went to the Urgent Care and found out that I've got pneumonia. So if there's still anyone who wants to make predictions, you have a little bit of time.

That sucks bro, I hope to see you up and about and causing all kinds of 'custom-made' havoc in the near future ;)

WCW MONDAY NITRO!

Monday Week 4 January 1996

Location: Orlando Arena - Orlando, Florida

Attendance: 15,000

Overall Rating: B-

TV Rating: 4.45

Pre Show: Dave Finlay defeated Ice Train in 3:55 by pinfall...D+

Pre Show: Shark defeated Joey Maggs in 4:04 by pinfall with an Earthquake Splash...D-

Pre Show: A music video airs hyping the promotion, including shots of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Sting...B

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/LexLuger.jpg

[The show opens up with the music of the Total Package Lex Luger playing in the background and the man himself walks out to a decent crowd ovation as he heads toward the ring and steps inside. Eric Bischoff and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to Nitro during the entrance. Luger comes out and says that he didn't come out here to talk alone and invites his former best friend Sting to walk out to the ring and explain things to him.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/Sting.jpg

[The crowd boos the newest member of the Four Horsemen and he flashes up the four fingers with a big smile as he heads down to the ring and slides inside, leaning in the corner for a moment.]

Sting

"What's up, Lex?"

Lex Luger

"That is what I want to know from you, Stinger? I want to know just how you can turn your back on all these little Stingers in the crowd. All these people who used to wear your facepaint. All these kids who used to look up to you. You were a role model, Sting, and now you want to turn your back?"

Sting

"Yeah, Lex, like you're some paragon of virtue. You know as well as I do that these fans are fickle. They'll turn on you in an instant like they did me when Hulk Hogan came here."

[The conversation goes back and forth along the same lines though it is obviously a set up by Sting as the other members of the Four Horsemen sneak into the ring behind Luger! Luger sees them at the last minute and tries to fight them off but the numbers game is too much. Sting walks up to Luger while the others hold him and Sting drops Luger with a Scorpion Death Drop! The crowd boos as the Horsemen hold up four fingers and the cameras cut to a commercial.]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/BookerT.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/SherriMartel.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/StevieRay.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RoadwarriorAnimal.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RoadwarriorHawk.jpg

Booker T vs. Road Warrior Animal

[A pretty average brawl to open things up with here on Nitro. The fact that Booker and Animal have chemistry in the ring really helped the match. ith Stevie Ray and Road Warrior Hawk at ringside it was only a matter of time before they both got involved and in the end, referee Charles Robinson had to call for a bell and declare the match a no contest.]

Winner: No Contest

Match Rating: C

[Following the sounding of the bell, the brawling continued between the two tag teams. Officials had to come running from the back to seperate the two teams and Sister Sherri!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/LannyPoffo.jpg

[The cameras cut backstage quickly and showed a man lying on the ground with each of the Horsemen taking turns stomping on him! Ric took his arm and banged it against the hard concrete wall! The crowd booed the Horsemen and the announcers let everyone know that this is indeed Lanny Poffo, Randy Savage's brother! The crowd boos even more at hearing that. The Horsemen scatter as Randy Savage is seen running down the hallway! Savage yells for help for his brother and kneels over him as Lanny holds his arm.]

Match #2

WCW World Television Title Match

Diamond Dallas Page defends vs. Cobra

[As everyone expected, this match was dominated by DDP. It was a poor showing when DDP and Cobra just did not click within the ring and botched several moves in the process. DDP hit the Diamond Cutter on Cobra and got the three count.]

Winner: Diamond Dallas Page

Match Rating: D

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ArnAnderson.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ChrisBenoit.jpg

[Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit were shown in the back and given a little bit of interview time to focus on their battle with The Steiner Brothers. They spoke about how the Steiners said they wanted to make an impact and wanted a title shot? Well, the Horsemen want a title shot as well. So at SuperBrawl it will be Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit versus the Steiner Brothers for the top contendership to the tag team titles!]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/JimmyGolden.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/DickSlater.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RobertFuller.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ScottRiggs2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/MarcusBagwell2.jpg

Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater vs. American Males

[Another not-so-great match here between these two up and coming tag teams. The speed of the American Males kept the two members of the Studd Stable off-balance for most of the match. They were able to slow down Riggs though and in the middle of the ring, Dick Slater hit the Leaping Piledriver and made the cover. Buck kept Bagwell from interfering and Slater got the pinfall!]

Winners: Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/Sting.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RicFlairIV.jpg

[sting and Ric Flair gave a short interview with Mean Gene Okerlund focused on their main event tag team match with Randy Savage and Lex Luger. The interview was cut short due to an attack by Savage and Luger that had to be broken up by officials.]

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/BrianPillman.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/EddieGuerrero.jpg

Brian Pillman vs. Eddy Guerrero

[Most thought these two would be better inside the ring together than they were tonight. These two just don't seem to click in the ring and the crowd could feel it though even with a lack of chemistry, they put on an above average match. Pillman rolled out of the way of a Frog Splash by Guerrero and managed to hit Guerrero with an Air Pillman and got the three count.]

Winner: Brian Pillman

Match Rating: C+

[Following the sounding of the bell, someone else came in the ring and attacked Pillman! He grabbed Pillman by the shoulder and rammed him through the turnbuckle and into the ringpost! The masked man lifted Pillman -- GUTBUSTER!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RickRude-1.jpg

[The crowd booed as 'Ravishing' Rick Rude came out, applauding the man who attacked Pillman. Is this Rude's new protege? Rude slid into the ring and pulled the mask off to reveal...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/DeanMalenko.jpg

['THE ICEMAN' DEAN MALENKO!]

[The crowd booed Malenko heavily as Rude introduced him as his new protege. What Malenko lacks in size, he makes up for in skills and Rude will make sure that he heads straight to the top!]

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/KevinSullivan.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/JimmyHart.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/JimDuggan.jpg

Kevin Sullivan vs. Jim Duggan

[The leader of the Dungeon of Doom going one on one with the 2X4 swinging, USA Chanting, 'Hacksaw.' This was a slightly below average brawl with not a whole lot of intellect, which is kinda what you'd expect from Duggan. Duggan managed to get the pinfall, following a Running Clothesline Tackle.]

Winner: Jim Duggan

Match Rating: C-

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ArnAnderson.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ChrisBenoit.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/BrianKnobbs.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/JerrySags.jpg

Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit vs. The Nasty Boys

[The crowd was never a big fan of the Nasty Boys it doesn't seem but the match was only slightly below average. Chris Benoit's performance stood out in particular in this match as he hit some very good technical moves on both Nasty Boys. It took an Anderson Spinebuster and then a DDT on Brian Knobbs and Anderson made the pinfall and got the victory.]

Winners: Arn Anderson and Chris Benoit

Match Rating: C-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RickSteiner.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ScottSteiner.jpg

[The Steiner Brothers hit the ring following the pinfall and a brawl erupted between the Steiners and the Horsemen members! Rick took Anderson over the top rop with a Steinerline and Scott hit a Frankensteiner on Benoit! The Steiners got the crowd pumped as Anderson pulled Benoit out of the ring and the Horsemen just looked up in the ring at the Steiners.]

Match #7

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RandySavage2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/LexLuger.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/RicFlairIV.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/Sting.jpg

Randy Savage and Lex Luger vs. Sting and Ric Flair

[it's time for the main event here on Nitro! 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage and 'The Total Package' Lex Luger against 'The Man Called' Sting and 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair. The match started off pretty slow with Eric and Bobby letting everyone know that Lanny Poffo has been taken to a nearby medical facility to get his arm checked on from the attack by the Horsemen earlier. Lex Luger was the one who was taken down by Sting and the Horsemen double-teamed Luger, keeping him in the corner. Sting and Flair used quick tags in and out with Flair focusing on the legs while Sting also focused on the back of the Total Package. Flair set up Luger on the mat and bounced off the ropes, going for a knee drop but Luger moved out of the way! Flair grabbed his knee in obvious pain as Luger tried to pull his way toward his corner. The Macho Man was definitely ready and willing to make the tag, reaching out. Flair got to his feet and pulled Luger up but Luger tossed a few punches to Flair and then sent him flying into a neutral corner! Flair flipped up but not quite over, landing on the mat and taking a clothesline from Luger. Luger flopped to the mat, exhausted, but the crowd chanted his name! Luger crawled toward his corner and Flair crawled toward his. Flair tags in Sting! Luger tags in Savage!

Savage came in with punches for Sting! The Macho Man clotheslined Flair over the top rope! Savage turned back toward Sting and caught a rake to the eyes from the newest Horseman! Sting whipped Savage into the corner -- REVERSED! Sting hits the corner hard and bounces out -- back drop by Savage! Savage quickly heads out of the ring and climbs the turnbuckles! Flair comes over and grabs his leg, Savage fights and kicks away at Flair, finally knocking him back. Savage turns back toward Sting -- CROTCHED on the turnbuckles! Sting climbs the turnbuckles -- SUPERPLEX! Sting drops the Macho Man! Sting moves over and punches Luger off the apron and then turns back toward Savage -- Scorpion Deathlock! It takes Savage about a minute to submit.]

Winners: Sting and Ric Flair

Match Rating: B

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ArnAnderson.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/wcw96/ChrisBenoit.jpg

[The rest of the Horsemen hit the ring following the submission and the Horsemen attack Savage and Luger with the crowd chanting for the Steiner Brothers to come out and make the save. Savage is dropped with an Anderson DDT and Luger with a Scorpion Deathdrop. The Four Horsemen stand tall within the ring as the show comes to a close.]
