curtains
Does it have any actual affect during a fight? If so what is it? I hope not so I don't have to set it manually for each created fighter (wish the template just did it for me based on weight/height)!
Adam Ryland
You hope it doesn't have any affect on the fight? Why would you want something the does have a real affect ignored? And what would be the point of having it in the game if it didn't do anything? The answer is that it does exactly the same thing as it does in reality, it gives the fighter with the longer reach a slight advantage in stand-up as he can throw from outside his opponent's range. Yeah I only hoped that because I created 200 fighters without realizing that reach is one of the only stats that isn't automatically generated, so now I have to go back through all 200 of them and manually adjust it Maybe this belongs in the suggestion thread, but I think that every single stat should be adjusted when you use the fighter template. I always thought the whole point of the template was so that you could make fighters quickly by simply clicking a button and then all stats are changed to reflect the fighter's template, but now it's like it makes them, but there are still 2-3 stats that you simply have to fill out yourself, and for someone first starting it's very easy to overlook this. Reach is sometimes what sets two great fighters apart. A decent example(albeit not the best) would be the recent matchup between Georges St. Pierre and Thiago Alves. Alves is primarily a striker, and a very vicious one. But Georges was able to win the standup battle against him due to his reach advantage. And it can't simply be based on "height/weight". Some fighters just simply have long legs or long arms. If you just want to click a button and generate a fighter, why don't you make a suggestion to just hit "Generate Random" and then put a name on it? That's basically what you're asking for.
