WCW vs WWF: The Lines Are Drawn

Recommended Posts

Ric Flair vs Sid Vicious

Should be a great match, but Flair vs. Rude needs to be a title match, so....

Brian Pillman & Tom Zenk vs The Brainbusters

I'm a huge Pillman fan (being a gigantic Hart Foundation mark), but the Brainbusters are just too much, at this point.

WCW United States Title Match

Beautiful Bobby Eaton vs Nikita Koloff

Routine victory for the champ.

NWA World Heavyweight Title Match

Lex Luger vs Rick Rude ©

I'm thinking we'll see a draw here, as both guys need to stay strong, right now.

WCW World Tag Team Titles Match

The Steiner Brothers © vs The Miracle Violence Connection

The Steiners won't take any falls, until they hit the match with the Brainbusters. At that point, it's anyone's guess.

Brian Pillman vs Michael Hayes

Pillman can do no wrong, at this point in his career. I see big things from him. Hayes is past it.

WCW United States Title Match

Kevin Nash vs Beautiful Bobby Eaton©

This is the biggest risk I'll be taking here. With all the titles on the line, one of them should move, and this is the one to do it. Bobby Eaton's not important enough to need to stay strong.

WCW World Television Title Match

Stunning Steve Austin © vs Chris Jericho

This is Austin's time to really shoot up the ranks. Jericho's time will come, but he's still really young at this point. Not yet.

Hulk Hogan is shown backstange with a blank check in his hands, about to give his response to The Million Dollar Man's offer. Hogan starts off by saying sorry to all the Hulkamaniacs out there for what he is about to do. In a somber tone, he says that he's always been one to do the right thing, and in this case, the right thing would be to take the money, and donate it to various charities, so that it could help millions of people in need. He then goes on to reveal that he's been thinking it over ever since Dibiase made the offer on Primetime Wrestling, and that on the flipside, it would also be wrong to take the money.

Hogan counters that taking the money would be a sign of him backing out on what he believes in, and it would also show all the Hulkamaniacs that bribery is acceptable. Hogan then looks into the camera with a stern look on his face, and addresses Dibiase by saying NO!, he will not take his bribe, before tearing the blank check to peices. He tells Dibiase to not worry though, because at Wrestlemania, he is still going to have pay, just not with his money, but with his title. Hogan poses, before walking off, as the show goes off the air.

After the match, Vader's manager, Nick Bockwinkel grabs a microphone, and says that after his man Vader went to a double countount with Dusty Rhodes at last month's Clash Of The Champions, they immediately asked for a rematch, but was declined because Dusty was scared. Vader is handed the mic, to which he taunts Rhodes by dubbing him The American Coward. Much to the delight of the fans, The American Dream appears from behind the curtains to defend himself. Dusty reveals that everything that has been said is false, as he's never been approached about a rematch by any officials, and that if that's what they wanted, all they had to do was ask.

Dusty adds that he wants to spice things up though. He says that to make sure that there isn't anymore double countouts, and there is a clear cut winner in their next bout, how about the two of them partake in a Falls Count Anywhere match? Vader immediately accepts the challenge, to which Dusty gleefully replies that at SuperBrawl, they will get funky like a monkey, and he will prove that his time hasn't passed by kicking Big Van Vader's ass.

As everyone waits for what's about to take place, the familiar music of the legendary Terry Funk plays, as the crowd begins to chant his name in unison, before he finally makes his way through the curtains. Funk makes his way to the ring with a mic in hand to reveal that due to the events that took place on WCW Saturday Night, the powers that be have made him the new commissioner of WCW.

Funk continues, and says that there will be some changes around here now that he is the new sherriff in town. In his first order of business, he says that Sid's actions will not be tolerated, and that if he ever puts his hands on an official again, he will be suspended without pay. He then says that although he'd prefer Sid and Sting to settle their differences at SuperBrawl, it just can't wait that long. He reveals that on the next WCW Saturday Night show, the two will get it on in the main event, to which the crowd cheers uncontrollably.

In his last order of business, Funk speaks on Rick Rude's bad news for Ric Flair, by saying that he has a bit of bad news for Rude as well. He reveals that Rick Rude will in fact be putting his title on the line at SuperBrawl, as he feels Ric Flair did what he was asked to do to earn a shot.
