Sean Thomas Jolly
The Set Up The American Market was something that was growing increasingly stale with little opposition. At the top stood the big two (The SWF and TCW) whereas in the middle stood USPW and towards the bottom stood a number of little companies yet to make any sufficient actions to be put on a national stage. Total Championship Wrestling (Formerly Hollyweird Grappling Company) was faltering. Set directly as the second best company in the world and America, things weren’t going to great. It’s style of pure wrestling with little storyline or angle was something only really interesting to a cult sized fan base, its huge worldwide stars like Tommy Cornell and Sam Keith were either approaching their prime or years past it and new stars were something hardly being created to any sufficient level. On the other hand Supreme Wrestling Federation was as strong as ever. Three decades of domination with no real indication of slowing down anytime soon. The only problem facing the company was if it was possible to keep a sports entertainment aspect as popular as it was in an ever changing culture. The rumours were circulating that Richard Eisen only had a few years left before retiring. The question posted was who could honestly replace him. His sons seemed to not have the business aspect fully implanted in them, if one did take over what would it mean for the SWF? USPW was an up and comer in only one sense. It was a newer federation. Only set up a few years ago it stood with one major problem. Its owner seemed one to crave favouritism. His daughter was on the roster, his friends were on the roster, everyone seemed to have some sort of creative control to a point where it was basically the ‘Sam Strong’s best friend federation’. No new stars, a huge number of old, unskilled wrestlers posed the question of how long could such a old style promotion stay on top. Phil Vibert asked that question and answered it once before. When he took over DAVE in 1997, Vibert was a man that almost could be labelled as a God. He took a company maybe months away from pure extinction to National fame which proved the undoing of such a wonderful thing. Vibert stepped away from the circuit, from the business he loved and it was a question of whether or not he’d ever come back? Soon enough that was answered for the entire world to see. December 2007; Phil Vibert stepped out of his front door in Hollywood, drove straight down to the Falcon Restaurant and met an old friend, a man he had some part in training as an association of DAVE; Phil Vibert met Jack Starr. For those of you unfamiliar with Starr, look at the last name and realize just what wrestling royalty he was born into. The grandson of the 8 year world champion ‘Mighty’ Micky Starr, Jack seemed graced with the same ability for this day and age that his granddad had for his. While his Dad, Johnny Starr didn’t achieve much in terms of any popularity, it still makes Jack a third generation star, the man Phil Vibert could use for his organization. Jack had just turned 24 in December and looked even younger for his age. But he knew his stuff about wrestling and he knew that being on the side of Phil Vibert could pull in some huge leverage for making his own legacy. Vibert and Jack both sat down and began to talk. Already the obvious despised nature of Vibert towards SWF, TCW and USPW was obvious. He felt that they were the reasons DAVE went under, he was most likely right at that as well. He told Jack it was time...time for a company that gave a care about their fans more than pleasing their friends, making the company an area for themselves to look greater or a place just so they can make money and produce the same old rubbish again and again. Jack just smiled and nodded; in his head he knew this would be big. Not since DAVE has anyone tried to change the outlook of wrestling in America, not since Vibert has anyone come close to succeeding. This was where Vibert revealed his secret plan to Starr. They were going to set up right out of the back yard of Tommy Cornell Wrestling and fight them for every last place. USPW wasn’t a problem to them...once Cornell was buried well....SWF would finally get some comeuppance! The Vision of Vibert Phil continued to speak, he let Jack in on a few names already signed to work with him. Jack smiled and laughed as he realized how long Phil had been planning this and why so many people were ‘on hiatus’ He wanted to get a TV deal down as soon as we could and that would be February but until then we were stuck with running Live Shows in the area to increase popularity. He knew to succeed this time in this almost censored culture America had become in the last year he’d need to tone down his action. While there would still be hardcore action and a modern style, he felt like bringing more storylines, more entertainment and a more teenage market. They’d be more about good guys vs. bad guys while keeping to their cult fan base. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg94/jolome99iwe/RevolutionRevisited-2.jpg Starr and Vibert agreed upon the deal that would rock the wrestling world. January 2008, it would all begin....the revolution was finally off life support and up and running once again. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg94/jolome99iwe/XWA.jpg X-Wrestling America is born. _________________________ Special thanks to ReapeR for the belt images I will be using and Bigpapa42 because without his amazing diary, I would not have a clue on how I can keep everything looking so awesome. I also want to say a huge thank you to every alt picture maker on this site as without you guys I wouldn’t have got half the inspiration I do for the characters I’m using. Really I hope you guys enjoy this diary, I feel the whole Vibert getting revenge for what the big leagues did to DAVE by fighting them at their own game could be amazing. This front page I will use just to keep updates with my roster, other promotions, my title holders etc. I will start XWA off with $100,000 from the bank of Phil Vibert. I’m going to run this free style as I think this could work out a lot easier that way. Occasionally I will post creative meetings, roster meetings, just stuff to make you more involved in the story. Sean Thomas Jolly
http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg94/jolome99iwe/XWA-4.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg94/jolome99iwe/JackAvatar_FIN4-2.jpg The revolution has begun. From the ashes of DAVE, Phil Vibert has risen and come back to the job he loves. With him guiding me and the XWA, we will complete what DAVE started and show how the SWF and TCW are not all that there is in American Wrestling. The job for the day is simply to contact every wrestler we want for Gold Rush; the opening show for the XWA. Myself, Vibert and his close friend Nemesis (who signed on before myself but seems quite happy to be a part of the booking committee and not as the head booker) are off to a meeting later today with a local arena in Hollywood that is offereing to let us host events there. As long as the price is right then the XWA will have a home. For now people, Peace Jack Starr Monday, Week 1, January, 2008

Sean Thomas Jolly
http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg94/jolome99iwe/XWA-4.jpg http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg94/jolome99iwe/JackAvatar_FIN4-2.jpg So Gold Rush is seven days away and I gotta say it's been busy. Myself, Nemesis and Phil have been working away for the past few days to score a number of talented individuals to the roster. The booking plans have been made and another 2 additions were made to our booking committee in the form of Craig Prince (Of CGC and NOTBPW fame) and a man by the name of Duncan Kendall (recommended by Nemesis). With the 5 of us now behind the operation I feel that XWA could be something of a success, all according to the first card of course. Speaking of which over the next few days Phil is going to be doing some interviews with some of the talent on the website as well as hyping up the matches for Gold Rush. This could be the start of something big For now people, Peace Jack Starr Friday, Week 1, January, 2008
