Devil_Bingo
According to a criminal report filed in Pittsburgh today, Kurt Angle has been arrested and is currently in the Allegheny County Jail. There was an altercation at the home of Kurt Angle involving Angle and girlfriend Trenesha Biggers, aka TNA's Rhaka Khan. Biggers went to police and filed a protection from abuse order against Angle, and police came and removed Angle from the home this morning. At around 8AM, Biggers called police again, stating that Angle was stalking her. She had gone to a Starbucks to use the internet, and told police that Angle had her phone and had been circling the parking lot. She claimed Angle was deleting photos from the phone, which were described as "pictures of abuse". Angle was questioned by police, under suspicion of DUI, and when they searched the vehicle, they found used syringes and two vials of HGH. Angle claimed that he had a prescription for the medication, and could provide that to police. Angle is currently awaiting arraignment on the following charges: * Driving while operating privileges suspended * Prohibited acts * Possession * Harassment Angle is scheduled to defend the TNA Title tomorrow night at the Hard Justice PPV in Orlando, Florida. AfRoMaN36
Wow! Well, his careers over. Twas a nice run though. Seriously though, he'll never recover. The Mitchell Report and now this? 3 kinds of illegal in one day. Two of which nearly killed wrestling a few years ago (Domestic violence and steroids. And yes, it's a hyperbole, but the industry was hurt badly) Can't say I feel sorry for him though. He's been losing his mind for the last few years. And besides you don't go from the smallest man to win a gold medal to the smallest testicles in the locker room without raising a few eyebrows. FINisher
Wow indeed. That is huge, shocking news. The TNA lockerroom sure is on a turmoil and a downward spiral. Imagine the amount of bad PR for TNA since Angle is their world champion. And btw there goes the Head Booker job also. I wonder what will happen tomorrow. First the Jarrett - Karen - Kurt drama and now this.. wow.

AfRoMaN36
LOL. This isn't pro athletics, it's wrestling. Never said it was. But from a PR standpoint showing up on the Mitchell report (iirc) and now this after the Chris Benoit fallout. It doesn't look good. Not to mention he's your top star and world champ. Biggers went to police and filed a protection from abuse order against Angle, Okay. I hope I don't sound insensitive here. But Angle was abusing Rhaka Khan? That's pretty impressive in a repugnant kind of way. She's no small or frail woman. Must have been really bad if she had to call in police. Remianen
Okay. I hope I don't sound insensitive here. But Angle was abusing Rhaka Khan? That's pretty impressive in a repugnant kind of way. She's no small or frail woman. Must have been really bad if she had to call in police. She's tall and skinny (6'2, 120???). He's a few inches shorter and a lot thicker than she is. If they got into a fistfight (ala Brandon Marshall and his girlfriend), assuming she even chose to fight back at all (not all women do, regardless of physical stature), she is small and frail. She's built like a supermodel, not a powerhouse. And Afroman, if you think this is going to ruin Angle's career, you haven't lived in this country for very long. HGH is still prescribed legally for a variety of ailments (it's kinda like marijuana in that respect) and athletes have been beating their SOs for over a decade now and still continuing to compete. He doesn't work for Roger Goodell. Sad to hear, no doubt, but par for the course. This business tends to attract the "wrong" types of personalities so this kind of thing will happen from time to time. If it was 'Indy wrestler #759,741', no one would care. Expect to hear from Karen about how abusive Kurt was to her. The timing's right (her literary agent must be creaming his pants right about now). Craig Edwards
i wonder if he is going to get out in time as where i'm from Cincinnati, ohio you can't post bound until you see the judge and they don't hold court on the weekends, i don't know how they do it in pitt but i want to know what TNA will do if he can't get out until monday morning

I'm just laughing at the notion that Kurt is "done" because of this. It's not even being reported/talked about by any source non-wrestling. I guess you could say the Baltimore Sun, but considering it's strictly online and apart of their wrestling blog it doesn't count. Kurt's career isn't done. He'll be back in a ring sooner rather than later. But seriously, lol at, "He'll never recover".
Hyde Hill
Yep probably just a fine or community service for the driving without license. Don't know about the protection order though but it sounds fishy we will see. From TNA probably drop the title to Sting/Morgan or AJ takes his place or Hernandez cashes in the case if Angle apears. Followed by a suspension. Say bye bye to booking power though which is a good thing IMHO as they didn't need Jarret or Angle running the show. The Shape
I may have only watched impact about five times, but I just watched the most recent one and I think they should wait a little more before putting the belt on morgan, and when they do it will be awesome hell is him retaining out of the question? dunno how tna handles these things. Hyde Hill
Actually the Morgan push has been kinda slow but yes it is still too early to put the belt on him that's why the three way probably to keep him stron. What they will do now we will see. I never hope for anyone to go to jail but yes not a smart move on Angle's part.
Self
Part of me is disappointed that it isn't a bigger deal. When I clicked on "ZOMG KURT'S IN JAILZ!!!!" (not this topic, another site) I thought he'd done in Jarrett or something. Not that I wish Jarrett, or even Angle, any specific harm, I just thought we were in for a massive shake-up. It'll be interesting how this effects the TNA Creative drama going on. Kurt wanted creative control, but this little scandal may blow that out of the water. Aye. It's just until today I'd never seen him wrestle (never watched SD when he was around before and rarely watch TNA) and he is now my favourite wrestler
FINisher
Even though this is not ending Angle's career it will surely provide a big setback, make TNA alter their booking/storylines and most of all, burn a lot of bridges. If he ends up getting fired from TNA, then what? He won't end up in WWE, that's for sure. Nobody would want him in other promotions. He's too old for MMA and his body wouldn't last anyway. IWC has discussed Angle's mental and physical condition for years now; He's a ticking timebomb. And the time is expiring, fast. I hope that they won't give Morgan the belt, nor Sting. Hernandez could be one choice since he has the briefcase and thus the title change could have alteast some logic behind it. EDIT: In my opinion Morgan is still green, tasteless, colourless and talentless big man.
ACCBiggz
Nobody would want him in other promotions. Puh-lease. Angle would be a prime commodity for small independent shows, and even further than that I could see him going to Japan to get work there. This doesn't make him unhireable in the slightest. b0shey
tna could strip angle off the belt and have hernandez use the breifcase to make it a 3 way , but sadly then sting would win it again. not that i care or watch tna anyway but i always have hated sting. As for Kurt; I hope he goes to jail, what a douchebag. I'd prefer that he go to rehab and get some counseling. A lot of people have said that Kurt has had a pretty tenuous grasp of reality for the last few years. Put him in prison and no one benefits. Let him free and you'll probably see some headlines reminiscent of Benoit in the near future. Damn it, we need more selfish wrestlers. Ever notice how it's only the hard workers who put the business first who die this early?
shamelessposer
Bet WWE would still have him xD I doubt it. The story goes that he left WWE when he was told to get some counseling. If management didn't like how he was a couple of years ago I doubt they'll be enthusiastic about grabbing him up after a domestic dispute and a drug-related arrest. EDIT: In my opinion Morgan is still green, tasteless, colourless and talentless big man. First, I think you have way too optimistic a view of basic human behavior. Especially when it comes to business and the exchange of currency between fan and promotion. If he can make money for anyone, he's going to have a job. I doubt it. The story goes that he left WWE when he was told to get some counseling. If management didn't like how he was a couple of years ago I doubt they'll be enthusiastic about grabbing him up after a domestic dispute and a drug-related arrest. Nobody said WWE would scoop him up immediately upon his release, if he is released from TNA. They'd wait a few months, maybe a human gestation period (9) but they'd be open to bringing him in. He could still make Vince McMahon money and that's pretty much all that really matters. They could give him an Undertaker/Mick Foley type of schedule to mitigate his physical issues and contractually require him to undergo counseling of some sort (which would offer the fringe benefit of allowing them to fire him without compensation (breach) should he blow it off). Given the fact that WWE is probably the only promotion in North America that could pay him what he thinks he's worth, he'd go for it. The alternative would be Japan which wouldn't be nearly as lucrative and would force him to change his lifestyle (at least a bit) and be away from his children for long stretches. But TNA's not gonna cut him and this experience isn't going to humble him any so, it's business as usual.
PoisonedSuperman
Hernandez sells the case to Jarrett for "his stake in TNA", Jeff hands it in and wins the world title!!!!!!!!!!
