Kayo
I was having trouble buying new fighters for my GAMMA company so I thought making a thread about it to see what the other WMMA2 players pay their fighters would help. Not to mention, I'm simply curious too My highest payed fighter is James Foster with a $264,600 base paycheck. Most of my other fighters fight for $1,500-2,000. But when I try to sign a random guy who isn't too impressive, they demand more than $40,000 and I end up getting pissed and cancel the negotiations So how much do you pay for your most expensive fighter? How much do you usually pay to sign new fighters? Feel free to post!
Derek B
Could be two reasons you are having this problem. First, from the help files:

Foreign Language Copies Of Windows

When using Windows under certain non-English language settings, WMMA2 can have trouble processing financial values. This is because some languages are set to interpret a comma as a decimal point, turning “$1,000” from “one thousand dollars” into “one point zero, zero, zero dollars”. If this effects you, please go to the WMMA2 \ System folder. You will see a file called “nolanguage.mm2”; please rename this to “language.mm2”. This will inform WMMA2 of the problem, and allow it to remove commas from within financial values, fixing the issue.

That's a common reason why nobodies want lots of money.

The second is the pay parity feature... workers who are considered to be about the same level expect to be paid about the same amount of money. So if you are massively overpaying someone (usually a big name fighter who has lost a lot of value through losing fights) then the guys below him will expect lots more cash since they now think they are on his level and want his paycheque.

Best thing to do there is fire the under-performing guy, it'll save you a LOT of money in the long run as the low level guys won't be comparing themselves to him iany more. Of course, if you've already started paying the low level guys huge cash then you could be too far along already. Mind you, if you raise their popularity/reputation then you might just be able to get away with it. Maybe. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">

As for myself... I'm mean with my money. I don't overpay people at low levels for the reason outlined above, which does mean I sometimes end up slowing my own growth because I don't take the risks. Paying for success can work, but when I'm in the regional levels I generally can't afford to take that risk as my finances are never good. Too many fights per card. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">
