Tag Team Division

Recommended Posts

In my current USPW game

regular teams

The Brisbane Blue Chippers (Brodie Lachlan and Kian Owens)

The Red Devils

Flex and Pecs

The Good Ole Boys

The Drill Sergeants (Sergeant Newton [DWM] and Sergeant Snyder [The Silencer])

Natural Storm

The Men of Steel (Mark Adonis and Mass Hulk)

occasional teams

Maurice Jackson/Ronnie V. Pain

Doctor Insane/Giant Brody

One team I made up which I really liked was Power and Glory which was Xavi Ferrera and War Machine. Nice to see others are ripping off WWF tag team names too. :) I was thinking "I want this team to be like Power and Glory....how should I name it....ahh whatever...just call it Power and Glory" I really went with this team consisting of two guys that I had under a dev contract. Unfortunately I couldnt renew War Machine's contract because of an owner goal.

TNA:

British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams)

Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)

Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon)

Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode)

Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed)

The Franchise Players (Chase Stevens & Frankie Kazarian) Managed by Shane Douglas

Rave & Pheonix (Jimmy Rave & Kenny Pheonix - aka Ken Doane)

The New Flock (Cassidy Reilly & Stevie Richards) Managed by Raven - I hate the Dr. Stevie gimmick so changed it.

Canadian Definition (Excess & Petey Williams) - this is a name I was playing around with, they haven't debuted on TV yet (except in angles) so I may change the name.

I have also been experimenting with Luther Reigns and Matt Morgan as a team - but I think I'm just going to have Morgan go solo.

Goze Explodez (Arik Cannon and Kevin Steen, found out one day that they have great chemistry and ran with it)

Motor City Machine Guns (Shelly and Sabin, Shelly is about to turn heel and break up the band)

Recently started up a TCW game that I am very much enjoying. I want to make the tag division a true strength of the promotion. I've kept the starting teams, plus added a few. I don't want to give too much detail, as some of these ideas could be used in a future (TEW 2010) TCW diary...

Tyson Baine & Genghis Rahn - one of my new flagship teams and likely going to take the belts from The Machines. They are a major part of the Total Alliance, and I just feel like the two big wild brawlers make for what would be an entaining team. Its also a way to keep them strong at the top of the card without doing harm.

Rick Law & Koshiro Ino - Law is a guy I really want to develop and push to superstar status, and was looking for a regular partner for him. Tested a bunch of chemistries and was happy when Ino came up. Law is going to opposte the Syndicate with an "equality and justice" idea - a slight play on his law enforcement background, obviously. He starts out aligned with the Total Alliance (RDJ, Rahn, Baine, and Golden) but they have their own goals, so he goes out on his own, teaming up with Ino who feels that the Syndicate has no honor in how they do things.

Kaustic - Acid & Plague- this is a team I've tried to do a number of times, but they always seem seem to have poor chemistry in any game where I sign both. I am not sure if I'm going to have them managed by Karen Killer in a mini stable with Sammy Bach, or by Raven Nightwood in a separate "dark" stable.

Southern Justice - Jack Griffith, Bubba Lee West, and Larry West - more of a mini-stable, I guess, than a tag team. But Griffith & West have great chemistry as a team and I just had visions of the trio using different combinations like some low-rent version of The Fabulous Freebirds. The "redneck pimp" version of Griffith makes me for a decent rip-off of Michael Hayes, and Larry Wood works as the backwoods version of Terry Gordy...

The Red Army - American Machine & Hell's Bouncer - based entirely on the most excellent alts that were recently done for these two. Soviet Machine & Soviet Colossus. Both need some time in development before they debut and a manager is definitely necessary.

I'm sure there are a couple more that I've put together (beyond the existing teams that were signed and sent to development), but those are the ones that come to mind without having the game in front of me.

I have a few games going and I love tag teams so here goes the list

AWE - My started fed which is now a touring promotion in the Tri-State area because there was no way to gain popularity when losing the regional war every month.

Burning Rhythm (Jeremy Jazz and Pyromaniac) - My jobber face team which is actually developing rather nicely.

The Leg Breakers (Dangerous Dusty [bin] and Weird Waldo Odlaw - My jobber heel team also developing nicely.

The Freak Show (The [Evil] Spirit and Valentine) - A freshly turned Evil Spirit and a face Valentine returning for his second tour teaming up as a fun loving is slightly freaky tag team.

The Northmen (Alan Parent and K-Squared) - About to break up as I lose Alan Parent who won't resign with me because he causes to much trouble backstage and he's mad at me for not taking his **** anymore. K-Squared will be moving on to a nice feud with a turning Thomas Morgan.

The Canadian Horror Show (The Vancouver Mutant [Tempest Appleby] and The Wizard of Ottawa) - First AWE Dynamic Duo champions and part of The Canadian Horror Show stable with The Toronto Terror.

Men at Work (Mark Smart and Regular Joe) - Joe was on last tour and he was quite impressive so I resigned him for this tour. Mark is just pushing toward a C in psychology and I'm hoping teaming with Joe will get him there. I also picked up Christian Price who fits nicely with the Blue Collar gimmick and it give me a stable with a flier, a technician and a Brawler to face off against The Canadian Horror Show.

To make it even three heel, three face teams once Alan leaves, I will be looking for some one to pair up no hire for this tour Chess Maniac for the mid-level heel team.

BSC - I'm about half way through my second year as BSC and financially I'm doing ok with my popularity slowly rising but I can't seem to get any of my main event girls over D pop. Gonn ahave to bring in some folks to job to them. Anyway brought in a few people to round out a tag division.

The Neptune Twins (Jen & Kathy Neptune) - Best team of the bunch and long running tag champions.

Sweet as Candy (Coco De La Soleil and Lindsay Sugar) - A very early heel turn and a push to face The Neptune twins has gotten these two over enough to be midcarders and they manage to put on matches above their pop level win or lose.

Bad to the Bone (Alison Capone and Vampella) - The second most popular heel tag team currently in the four team story with The Neptune, Twins, Sweet as Candy and...

Good Times (Hope and Roxy) - Roxy got a gimmick change to DJ and Nurse Hope Day became her own personal dancer just Hope. They languished for the first year as solo workers but are no going places as a team.

Abuse of Power (Nurse Darla Knight and Officer Good Head) - Not quite my lowest heel team but still used to job out to the four big teams.

Hollywood Magic (Brittney Hollywood and Sprite) - Again not the lowest of my heel teams and they tend to job to the four big teams and the rest of the uppercard.

The Outsiders (Carnival Queen Kendra and Power Girl) - The Voodoo Queen and the super powered girl with alien origins look to take over our planet and fail miserably as the jobber heel team.

Head Trip (Amy Galaxy and Calamity Joan) - Too whacked out weirdos who do the job to our main heel teams.

CZCW - nearing the end of year two I have a huge roster because I love me some tag teams.

Face Teams in order of push

Animal Farm (M/UM) [Air Attack Weasel and Flying Jimmy Foxx] - These two have been CZCW Tag Team Champions since Sep '08 after taking the titles off of Remmy Skye and Frankie Perez (called Future Shock). They had been quite dominant as heels and a face turn in month ago has led them into some new battles.

Latin American Heroes (M/M) (Capitão Brasil Jr and Dragon Del Arcos Iris Jr.) - Capitão Brasil Jr replace Angel De Mexico who was Dragon's Original partner. This team has yet to prove itself at all.

The Wilkes Brothers (LM/LM) (Jorge Wilkes [Duberry Excess] and Michael Wilkes) - With Jorge's regular partner in 4C Phenomenal E off to Japan on a written deal with BHOTWG I brought him in to team with his brother in our tag division.

Team XDW (LM/LM) (Daredevil Aero and Fearless Blue) - I love these guys as a matter of fact these are the only two XDW guys I ever use. THey suck and they'll continue to suck but gain experience. They've only been with the company for two months and they've been jobbing.

Thunder & Lightning (O/O) (Jason Thunder and Lightning Lomas) - In a desperate push for teams in the beginning Thunder & Lightning were the first team I hired early on. I hired them to job and train and they have been doing both. They have been jobbing mostly bu Jason Thunder is #1 on my hot prospects list.

Heel Teams in order of push

Moose & Speed (M/M) (Jeremiah Moose and Marc Speed) I originally brought these team about to feud with Future Shock but Marc seemed to be doing well so I had him leave his partner although still stay a heel to feud for the Xtreme title for a bit. Animal Farm moved into their position but with Frankie becoming a Main Eventer and the turning of Animal Farm I reunited Moose & Speed (which I always here being said by Boris & Natasha from Bullwinkle) back as Marc got pushed out of the upper midcard and I wanted something good from him to do.

Rich and Famous (M/M) (Jackpot Jordan and Jake Idol) - These guys had been jobbing like stars but now they are the number two heel tag team in the company and I'm looking toward a big future for them.

The Next Big Thing (M/M) (Jonnie Perez and Nathaniel Ca$ino) Ca$ino had been occasionally teaming with DWN but with Davis on USPW TV he's moved into my upper midcard and I brought in a good young buck to make a nice ****y youth tag team. And since I think of CZCW as a big family I brought in Frankie's Brother Jonnie and put him in this midranked team with Nathaniel to gain some experience.

League of Evil (M/O) ( [American] Dark Flash and Chess Maniac) - American Flash originally teamed with Masked Cougar as his sidekick in Heroes Unlimited but after a recent turn on his old partner who moved into the Xtreme title picture the now Dark Flash (I should really get an alt pic done for that) is now teaming with evil master mind Chess Maniac.

Freak Show (EH/EH) (Cal Sanders and Stretch the Chicken Boy) A Lumberjack and a freaky gap tooth kid with yellow goggles. This team just screams success. Now they job.
