[Highlights were shown of the match last week between Bryan Holmes and Jeff Daniel Morgan. The match, of course, went to a time limit draw. Following the match, Bruce The Giant came out but paused when Morgan grabbed a chair!]

Erik Strong vs. The Masked Assassin

 

[Not the best or most obvious choice for an opening match here on American Wrestling but it wasn't completely horrible. This one didn't bring down the crowd's mood. In fact, there was even a fan in the stands with a sign for this match: 'Erik Strong: related to Sam Strong?' Which we know is true since Erik has been calling Sam his father. The Masked Assassin got in a few shots here and there during the bout but this was mostly a showcase match for Erik Strong, who took down The Masked Assassin with a hard brainbuster! He then headed up top -- STRONG SAULT! The finisher connected and Erik Strong made the cover, getting the three count.]

 

Winner: Erik Strong

[Following the match, Queen Emily led The Dirty White Boys down to the ring and they surrounded the ring as Alicia slid inside and stood beside her brother. Grease Hogg climbed on the apron but was knocked down by Erik. Then the crowd cheered as...]

[Mainstream Hernandez showed up! Hernandez slid into the ring and stood back to back with his partner. Security and officials came down to break this up but there won't be any breaking things up at Thanksgiving Thunder when those two teams go to war!]

[The video screen lit up and showed the backstage area and zoomed in on a Coca Cola Machine! The crowd cheered for a moment and then booed as Hell's Bouncer walked up to it and put some money in, getting a bottle of coke. He turned and his coca cola was knocked out of his hands when he bumped into..]

Micky Starr vs. Hell's Bouncer

 

[Hell's Bouncer dragged Micky Starr down to the ring where a referee was waiting and the match was on! No one was shocked that Hell's Bouncer dominated this match. Well, except maybe for the one fan in the stand with the 'Starraholic!' sign! It was so predictable that fans went to the concession stand when the match started. The one thing that wasn't predictable was the great chemistry between these two. Queen Emily showed up at ringside to cheer on Hell's Bouncer, not that Bouncer needed any cheering on. Hell's Bouncer finished off Micky Starr with a Damnation Drop and a pinfall.]

 

Winner: Hell's Bouncer

Match Rating: D-

 

[Queen Emily entered the ring and directed another Damnation Drop on Micky Starr! The crowd booed as Hell's Bouncer stuck his foot on Micky's chest and Queen Emily raised his arm in victory, sneering out at the crowd like the aristocrat that she is.]

Java vs. Freddie Datsun

 

[Our next match here wasn't great but it didn't have any fans walking out on it either. Seduction brought Freddie Datsun to the ring and Datsun was looking for some revenge against a Sneer Corporation member and this time it was Java. Java actually looked a little impressive in the ring against the American Everyman. He sent Datsun against the steel ring post behind the turnbuckle. Datsun needed some major crowd support and a kiss from Seduction to grab the momentum. Once he did he stuck to it though and he finished off Java with a Patriot Press!]

 

Winner: Freddie Datsun

Match Rating: D

 

[Following the pinfall, Datsun pointed toward Shane Sneer, saying that he wants him! Sneer kept Datsun distracted so someone could sneak in the ring behind him...]

[shooter Sean Deeley locked in the Crossface Chicken Wing on the American Everyman! Datsun tried to fight it but eventually he had to succumb to the Shooter. Shane Sneer entered the ring and finally called off his man but he raised Deeley's arm in victory and the crowd booed, many having forgotten that his contract was bought by Sneer from The Playboy.]

"Yeah but they're old news for us right now, Dudette. We need to focus on T-Dude and Rhino Dudemaga who we have at Thanksgiving Thunder. T-Dude, I also have you in the ring tonight. If you think for a moment that you're gonna beat me, dude, then you have another thing coming. Tonight and at Thanksgiving Thunder you're gonna learn how Justice is served, dude!"

 

[James smiled and shined up his gold belt as we headed to the ring...]

Fumihiro Ota vs. Davis Wayne Newton

 

[This matchup was a little better than the last one though obviously not by much. This was more of a fast-paced encounter but a couple of things threw the match off entirely. One of the things being that DWN was really off his game tonight and the other being that wonderful bad chemistry bug between these two great athletes. The match was a true back and forth encounter that nearly had Ota hitting his finisher on DWN. The Triple Threat ducked the Ninja Attack and rolled up Ota, using a handful of tights to get the three count.]

 

Winner: Davis Wayne Newton

[The announcers let us know that we had an incident taking place backstage. The video screen lit up to show the parking lot and a brawl taking place between Jumbo Jackson and Art Reed! Jackson tossed Reed up on the hood of a car! Reed slid off the other side and started walking away but Jumbo gave chase! The moving away worked in that it tired out Jumbo some as he chased Reed and Reed was able to bring Jumbo down with a double leg takedown to the concrete! He threw punches until security got involved and broke things up!]

USPW World Title Match

Bruce The Giant defends vs. Super Lex

 

[Our semi main event match here had Super Lex coming out first to a solid crowd ovation. The crowd might cheer the devil himself if he was facing Bruce tonight. Bruce and Danny both looked extremely confident when they came down to the ring. Super Lex had an air of confidence about him tonight, at least before the bell rang.]

 

[Once the bell rang, Bruce came charging with a big boot to the face of Super Lex! Bruce dominated the early-going, much to no one's surprise. He toyed with Super Lex in the ring, choking him with the boot and giving him a Giant Head Butt to match! Danny Jillefski smiled at ringside and Matthew Keith came down to ringside to have a look. He just nodded to Danny for a moment and then watched the ring. Somehow, miraculously, Super Lex began making a comeback! The crowd cheered for the major underdog here! Lex sent Bruce over the top rope to the floor with a major clothesline! The referee made Lex back off and Lex went across, getting crowd support! As the referee was distracted with Bruce and Danny, Matthew Keith yanked Lex down by the ankles and out of the ring! The crowd booed as Matthew clotheslined down Super Lex! Matthew locked in the Proton Lock and had Lex begging for mercy as Bruce was slowly getting to his feet on the other side of the ring. Danny released the referee's attention as Matthew rolled Lex back into the ring. The referee turned and saw Matthew so close and began yelling at him! Matthew said he didn't do anything and since the referee didn't see him he had to take him at his word, right?]

 

[Meanwhile on the other side of the ring, Bruce is using the guardrail to get to his feet and a chair comes in from nowhere! The side of Bruce's head is banged in by four straight chair shots and Bruce falls to the ground. The referee turns back around and starts making the count as the chair wielder is lost in the crowd: ...8...9...10! Ring the bell!]

[The crowd is stunned and shocked as the referee raises Super Lex's limp arm in victory over the USPW World Champion: Bruce The Giant! The cameras focused in on a shocked Matthew Keith, who realized that he just gave Super Lex the win by throwing him back in the ring. Behind Matthew, a sign was being held: 'Super Lex for President!' and maybe that dream might come true as well. Matthew Keith slides in the ring and clamps back the Proton Lock on Super Lex! The man who wielded the chair before enters the ring...Jeff Daniel Morgan! Morgan takes a chair swing at Matthew, who breaks the hold and makes a quick exit! Jeff stands over Super Lex who got the biggest victory of his career tonight but NOT the USPW World title.]

Shooter is shooting for the stars and comparing him to you is like comparing ice cream to horse manure. But then I know you're used to stepping in manure by being around Seduction. Thanskgiving Thunder, the Shooter is going to take you out."

James Justice vs. T-Rex

 

[The main event here is a good one between two men who have been with USPW for a very long time. Shane Sneer escorted T-Rex down to the ring and The Blonde Bombshell brought down James Justice, who got a chant of 'DUDE, DUDE, DUDE!' James flashed a goofy looking smile to the crowd and while he was distracted T-Rex clubbed him with forearms from behind! The Jurassic Power took control early in the match and focused on the back and shoulders of James Justice. He sent Justice outside the ring and distracted the official while Shane Sneer put a few boots to Justice! The crowd booed the interference but since the 'blind' referee didn't see it then it doesn't count, right? Justice rolled back in the ring and T-Rex brought him to a corner, lifting him up -- SUPERPLEX! The Jurassic Power plays to the crowd, receiving some boos! He makes a cover: 1 -- 2 -- KICKOUT! T-Rex spent too much time playing to the crowd!]

 

[T-Rex continued for the next few minutes but no moves would put Justice away and T-Rex was wearing himself down! T-Rex locked on a sleeperhold on Justice! Justice fought but slowly started to go out as Rhino Umaga walked down toward the ring! Rhino stood in the corner as Justice began his comeback. Justice fought out of the Sleeperhold, turning it into a belly to back suplex and both men were lying on the mat. T-Rex was gassed! Justice slowly made it to his feet, getting the chant of 'DUDE, DUDE, DUDE!' from the crowd and he took down T-Rex with a clothesline! He waited for T-Rex to get to his feet and sent him into the ropes -- SPINEBUSTER! Justice gets the crowd pumped and then moves to bounce off the ropes -- TRIPPED by Rhino! The referee saw it though and calls for the bell as Rhino slides into the ring!]

 

Winner: James Justice

Match Rating: C+

Man I missed the last round of predictions... that sucks, but anyway the PPV was pretty solid, and I love the Lex push even if you are just building him up to make him lose.

isn't Micky Starr retired?

 

OT: Sweet! Super Lex is getting his first ever push in a dynasty. At least I think that it's the first ever! :D

 

Glad that both of you are liking the Super Lex push. It comes just in time for things to start winding up on this diary with the announcement of TEW 2010 coming out on January 25th. But I couldn't resist putting him over Bruce in that match. :)

 

And yeah Micky Starr is retired but he does have some overness that can be used. ;)

You know what I love about this diary? With USPW, to me, as a non CV user, the characters come across as being extremely... gimmicky. But in a good way. What I love about this diary is how you bring them all to life, and with that you can find yourself even marking out for guys who are copping regular losses let alone the top marks.

 

Lovin it, happy new year mate, glad to see you're keeping this going and I sincerely, sincerely hope your health is on the up and up.

With the upcoming release of TEW 2010 in only 16 days for the demo, I have come to the decision to call this diary to a close. I want to thank everyone who has made predictions and comments within the diary. You guys all made this worthwhile to me and I hope that you will all be back when I start a new diary based on TEW 2010.

The plan right now is not to run anymore shows. But if everyone wants, I can say where I planned on going with this diary, i.e. my future plans, results of Thanksgiving Thunder, etc.

 

If you could, that would be great! :) Just to tell you, you helped give me tons of ideas for a long-running 2010 dynasty! Don't worry though, I'm not a copycat! :p I also hope that you make a dynasty for 2010.

Just thought I would stop by now that this dynasty is over and just say how much I enjoyed reading it. Sorry that I didn't predict to many of your shows but I did what I could.

I am gonna work on a writeup of what might have been if I had continued the diary, including full results for Thanksgiving Thunder. I hope to have that posted here within a few days.

 

And as far as taking some of the ideas here and running with them, I don't mind that at all. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, right? And if Anger and Super Lex keep their jobs for one more day then I've done my job. ;)
