USPW: Long Hard Road From Cult

Recommended Posts

USPWrestling.com...

Last week, our main event saw James Justice defeat Black Hat Bailey but it didn't come without a price as Justice was attacked after the match by Redwood and Redwood stood tall at the end of the night.

Our opening contest here on USPW American Wrestling is going to feature a USPW World Television title defense as Nicky Champion defends the title against newcomer Jeff Daniel Morgan. Should be a very close and even matchup.

We will also be seeing the much hyped debut of Larry Wood here in USPW. His opponent? Happy Elwood. We're not sure how happy that Elwood will be at the end of the match though.

Our USPW World Tag Team titles will also be on the line as the Towers of Power take on Ernie Turner and Captain USA. Can the makeshift team defeat the Champs?

Our main event this week will be a good one as James Justice teams up with the man that he defeated for the USPW World title: Bruce The Giant taking on Giant Redwood and Peter Valentine! Who will have momentum heading toward Red, White And Bruised in a couple of weeks?

Plus more action!

Once again you put on another quality show!

I really like how you put the signs in the crowd, now I wish I would have thought of something witty to say so I could have a sign in the crowd...

I liked the Sgt. Slaughter....I mean Commissioner Doom segment.:D I love how he said that James Justice willingly got himself counted out to save his title.

Also, love the James Justice promos as always. I like how he always manages to call the other wrestlers dude. Like Black Hat Dude or the Big Dude.

The only thing that I did not agree with was this:

These fans suck! How could they not like Anger?:)

Also this has nothing to do with your show but I just have to say that I hate Sheik Mustafa. The guy has to be the worst manager in the game, his stats suck and he does nothing to enhance the wrestlers that he is managing. That being said I like how you have written him thus far as the manager who goes on rants in his native language.

The comments are always appreciated. They really help make the diary. The signs thing will be a recurring theme as long as people come up with signs for me to put into the diary. So you have more chances to get signs into the show.

And I have to say that I mostly agree with you on Sheik Mustafa. Not entirely sure how long he will be managing T-Rex but I don't wanna make too many changes right away.

USPW World Television Title Match: Nicky Champion defends vs. Jeff Daniel Morgan

Nicky will win this match, that being said I could eventually see Jeff Daniel Morgan getting this title. However, I think it will happen on a PPV.

Happy Elwood vs. Larry Wood

I feel bad for Happy Elwood as he is gonna get his you know what kicked.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Towers of Power defend vs. Ernie Turner and Captain USA

Good pairing of Capt. USA and Ernie but The Towers of Power should pick up the win.

Lex Appeal vs. Al The Hillbilly

As much as I hate to make this pick Lex is nothing more than a glorified jobber. The same could be said of Al but I think Al is higher on the card.

Jumbo Jackson vs. Des Davids

This is a toss up for me, I am not sure who will win.

James Justice and Bruce The Giant vs. Giant Redwood and Peter Valentine

Another tough one but I will go with the Dude and the other big dude.

Champ retains but JD will look good. Hopefull that chemistry bug floated away.

Happy Elwood vs. Larry Wood

Poor happy Elwood.

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match: The Towers of Power defend vs. Ernie Turner and Captain USA

Pimp @ss Turner to take the fall.

Lex Appeal vs. Al The Hillbilly

Lovable pig farmer? Gotta soft spot for them, can't help it.

Jumbo Jackson vs. Des Davids

Des has a great upside. I think he'll win this one based on that.

James Justice and Bruce The Giant vs. Giant Redwood and Peter Valentine

I might've picked Justice and Brucie, but I won't be surprised if Redwood (die!!!!:D) and Peter Valentine (who is close to getting a bad sign himself) cheat to win.

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

Wednesday Week 2 February 2008

Location: Huntsville Fairgrounds

Attendance: 3,706

Overall Rating: C-

TV Rating: .41

PRE SHOW: Jack Griffith and Black Hat Bailey defeated Coleman And Ferdinand in 3:46 when Black Hat Bailey defeated Stuart Ferdinand by submission with a Bailey Breaker...Jack Griffith and Black Hat Bailey have absolutely zero chemistry as partners...D

PRE SHOW: A music video is shown to promote Justice and Bruce The Giant...B+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/Liberty.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/BrucetheGiant.jpg

[The show opens up inside the Huntsville Fairgrounds with the music called 'Liberty' and the arrival of James Justice and Bruce The Giant inside the arena. The crowd are on their feet cheering for the two fan favorites. Justice's ribs are taped up at the moment and Bruce is helping him down to the ring. They make it inside and James is given a microphone.]

James Justice

"DUDES! Tonight, you are going to see what many people think is a dream team. You've got James Justice, the USPW World Champion, teaming with Bruce The Dude, the former USPW World Champion! Do The Big Dude and ValenDude even stand a chance? There is no way that they can beat us, right, dude?"

Bruce The Giant

"James, mate, tonight we are teammates and we each have our own respective problems to deal with. Mine dealing with Peter and his group while you have Giant Redwood to deal with. But make no mistakes about it, DUDE, once these things are done I'm gonna want my rematch for the USPW World title."

James Justice

"DUDE! Why the hostility, dude? You don't have to be that upset because I beat you for this belt. That's been a very long time ago. And tonight we have big fish to fry in The Big Dude and ValenDude. So just save your challenge for another night because tonight everyone is going to see that Justice is going to be served, DUDES!"

[James flashes a smile as 'Liberty' interrupts anything Bruce might have added to the conversation and the two soak in the cheers from the fans as they head to the back.]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/NickyChampion.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/AliciaStrong.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/JDMorgan.jpg

USPW World Television Title Match

Nicky Champion defends vs. Jeff Daniel Morgan

[A less than average match to begin things here on American Wrestling as Nicky Champion is in a defense of his USPW World Television Title. Alicia Strong did some good work at ringside, pushing her man to be his best in this match and the pushing helped, especially when Nicky hit the Hawkeye Hammer on Morgan and got the three count.]

Winner: Nicky Champion

Match Rating: D+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/T-Rex_alt2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/SheikMustafa_alt.jpg

[The crowd booed the arrival of T-Rex and Sheik Mustafa down the aisle. T-Rex slid in the ring but this time Nicky was ready for him! They exchanged punches in the center of the ring with Alicia cheering on Nicky from the corner. Nicky lifted and body slammed T-Rex! Outside the ring, Sheik Mustafa took down Alicia Strong with a clothesline and began stomping on her to boos from the crowd! This distracted Nicky as he moved over to help and enabled T-Rex to lock on the Jurassic Crush from behind! T-Rex swung Nicky back and forth and then finally dropped him face-first on the mat, sliding out of the ring and exiting with Sheik Mustafa.]

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/HappyElwood.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/LarryWood.jpg

Happy Elwood vs. Larry Wood

[Happy Elwood came down to the ring first, slapping hands with the fans and generally looking like the lovable happy guy that he's always been. Then the crowd rose in boos as Larry Wood emerged from the back. The psychopath hit the ring and completely dominated Elwood from the start. It wasn't much of a match and before even four minutes hit, Larry hit the Running Big Foot on Elwood and made the cover, getting the three count.]

Winner: Larry Wood

Match Rating: E

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/JimForce.jpg

[The crowd roared in surprise and approval as Jim Force emerged from the back and came to the ring like he was shot out of a cannon! Larry Wood met him in the ring and the two of them brawled like crazy until some of Jim's makeup was even off his face! Officials had to come running down to the ring and do their best to break things up between these two. Just why would Jim Force attack Larry Wood?]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/DannyRushmore.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/MickMuscles.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/ErnieTurner.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/CaptainUSA.jpg

USPW World Tag Team Titles Match

The Towers of Power defend vs. Ernie Turner and Captain USA

[Not a very good match and another evening where Ernie Turner did not look like a good investment for USPW as he seemed off his game compared to having watched him in SCCW. The Towers of Power were dominant, hitting Captain USA with a double flapjack and then a double power bomb for Ernie Turner. Rushmore hit Turner with the Atomic Boot and made the cover, getting the three count.]

Winners: The Towers of Power

Match Rating: E

[Following the match, Danny Rushmore actually requested a microphone.]

Danny Rushmore

"Mick and myself here, we've faced some of the greatest challenges that American wrestling has to offer. We've beaten the Forces of America. We've beaten The Hillbillys. We just got through beating Turner and USA. So we would like to expand. Tell 'em partner."

Mick Muscles

"Well, it goes like this. We're opening up an open challenge for any tag team not just in the United States but any tag team in the world to step up to the plate and face us next week in a non title bout. You win? You can get a shot at these belts. You lose, you go back to wherever you came from. It's as simple as that. My partner and I have climbed the tower and we've shown we have the power. Now, somebody, please, try to knock us down!"

[Mick drops the microphone and the Champs raise their belts to boos from the crowd as they head to the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/NickyChampion.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/AliciaStrong.jpg

[The cameras cut backstage to show Nicky Champion knocking on a locker room door. He waits a moment and opens the door, showing Alicia Strong with an icepack on her neck. He steps into the room, closing the door.]

Nicky Champion

"Hey, Alicia. I uh, well, just wanted to check on you and make sure you were alright. I'm sorry you got hit earlier."

Alicia Strong

"I'll be alright. I've survived tougher stuff."

Nicky Champion

"Oh, well, I also wanted to kinda sorta give you something."

[Nicky reveals a bouquet of pink roses from behind his back. Alicia smiles, taking them and lifting them to her nose.]

Alicia Strong

"They're wonderful, Nicky. Thank you."

[Alicia sets the roses down on the bench beside her and Nicky just smiles, running his fingers through his hair as we head back to the ring.]

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/Oscar.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/PlayboyJakeSawyer.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/AlTheHillbilly.jpg

Lex Appeal vs. Al The Hillbilly

[This was supposed to be the ringside debut of Playboy Jake Sawyer as he became the new manager of Lex Appeal. However, the bad chemistry bug hit once again and he just didn't show any chemistry at all with Lex Appeal, even just standing at ringside. Lex and Al showed some pretty good chemistry in the ring though and that helped a stinker of a match. The highlight of the match was the camera panning around to the fans and focusing in on a sign: "I came to see Lex Appeal... NOT!" Lex Appeal got the pinfall on Al The Hillbilly.]

Winner: Lex Appeal

Match Rating: E-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/Java.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/ShaneSneer.jpg

[shane Sneer led Java down to the ring and Java attacked Al! Java beat down the already downed Hillbilly within an inch of his life as Shane Sneer laughed and smiled and looked on from ringside. Sneer finally called off Java and the two of them headed to the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/CherryBomb.jpg

[The cameras cut backstage, showing Cherry Bomb within the interview area.]

Cherry Bomb

"You know what, Joanne? You really light my fuse! You think that you're good enough, smart enough, good-looking enough to be the USPW Women's Champion? There is no one in this company that is good enough to be the Women's Champion aside from yours truly, the Cherry Bomb! At Red, White And Bruised, I am exercising my rematch clause against you and this time I am going to have a short fuse so you know what it's like to feel the Cherry Bomb explode!"

[Cherry shakes her head and the cameras cut back to the ring.]

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/JumboJackson.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/ShaneSneer.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/DesDavids.jpg

Jumbo Jackson vs. Des Davids

[One of the better matches of the night, which is not saying something good about how the in-ring portion of the night has gone so far. The crowd is really starting to get behind Des Davids and can be told in the chants of 'Davids, Davids, Davids' that can be heard occassionally throughout the crowd. Shane Sneer got in a few shots at ringside on Des and tossed him back in the ring. Jumbo got Des set up in the corner for the Jumbo Avalanche. Jumbo charged -- DES MOVED! Jumbo hit the turnbuckle hard, knocking the air out of him! Des bounced off the ropes -- QUARTERBACK SACK! Shane Sneer looked horrified at ringside as Des made the cover and got the three count.]

Winner: Des Davids

Match Rating: D

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/DemonAnger.jpg

[As Shane helped Jumbo out of the ring, Des Davids was hit from behind by a full Coca Cola bottle! Anger climbed into the ring and when Des turned, he was hit by the Demon Slam! Anger picked up the Coca Cola bottle, muttering to it for a moment before raising it up to boos from the crowd! He slid out of the ring and headed to the back, talking to the power of the mighty Coca Cola bottle.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/BrucetheGiant.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/HellsBouncer.jpg

[A new match was announced for Red, White And Bruised as Bruce The Giant will be going one on one with Hell's Bouncer in a battle of the mighty and tall!]

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/Liberty.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/BrucetheGiant.jpg vs. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/GiantRedwood.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/PeterValentine.jpg w/ http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/PlayboyJakeSawyer.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/HellsBouncer.jpg

James Justice and Bruce The Giant vs. Giant Redwood and Peter Valentine

[Our main event of the evening was slightly shocking. James and Bruce came out via seperate entrances. Then came the time for Giant Redwood's entrance and he came out along with Playboy Jake Sawyer, who was identified by Sara Silver. Peter Valentine came out with Hell's Bouncer at ringside and the odds were definitely stacked in their favor.

No surprise that this is the best match of the evening as fans truly have two people that they get behind and two hated heels. Bruce worked the opening of the match against both Redwood and Valentine as he seemed to dominate both of them. Then he tagged out to James Justice and Valentine got a cheap shot on the ribs of Justice and this started the advantage leaning toward Valentine and Redwood. Valentine and Redwood used several cheap tactics, keeping Justice in their corner and distracting the official so the outside man could choke him. Justice was tossed out of the ring at one point and Bruce dropped down, heading around to cut them off at the pass but this just distracted the referee as he stopped Bruce and Hell's Bouncer sent Justice ribs-first into the ringpost. Justice was tossed back into the ring and Valentine and Redwood continued their momentum until Redwood called for his Standing Splash! Redwood looked down at Justice and then leaped -- JUSTICE MOVED!! Redwood hit the mat hard!

The crowd began their chants of 'DUDE, DUDE, DUDE' as Bruce reached across, waiting for a big tag! Redwood was crawling over to make the tag himself. Peter was yelling at Redwood to stop Justice from tagging out! Justice managed to make the tag and Redwood reached out to do the same but Valentine walked up the apron and then dropped down! Bruce hit Redwood in the back of the head with a clothesline, dropping him with a massive headbutt as Valentine and Hell's Bouncer began walking away with Playboy Jake Sawyer trying to pay them to come back. Bruce tossed Redwood into the corner and hit him with big forearm shots and then a huge body slam to the mat. Bruce called for the Giant Choke Slam but James Justice tagged himself back in! The crowd looked a little shocked and so did Bruce as James came in! James bounced off the ropes -- SSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS -- DUDE KNEE DROP! Justice prepares for Redwood to get to his feet. He hooks him when he gets up -- LIBERATION SLAM! The hurting James Justice makes the cover:

1...

2...

3!!]

Winners: James Justice and Bruce The Giant

Match Rating: C-

[James celebrated inside the ring as he got an enormous victory over the man he will be facing in a couple of weeks at Red, White And Bruised! Bruce just shook his head and walked away to the back. Justice celebrated a moment too long though as he was caught from behind by a recovered Giant Redwood! Redwood locked a claw hold on the back of James Justice's head and then raised him up, sending him face-first down to the mat! Justice's nose was busted open with that move! Redwood roared and set up for his Standing Splash...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/FreddieDatsun.jpg

[Then the crowd roared their approval at the return of the American Everyman! Freddie Datsun is holding a steel chair and he slides into the ring, swinging it away at Redwood! He hits a couple of shots and the third sends Redwood over the top rope to the outside. Datsun raised the chair to cheers from the crowd and then he bent over, checking on Justice as the show came to a close.]

We are getting closer and closer to USPW's Red, White And Bruised! It's a little over a week away and last week we saw the return of 'American Everyman' Freddie Datsun to USPW as he saved James Justice from an attack by Giant Redwood! This week will see his return to in-ring competition!

What a match we have to open our show tonight as the undefeated streak of Des Davids is put on the line against the man who will be challenging for the USPW World Television title in just eight days: The Jurassic Power T-Rex! Can T-Rex end the streak?

We're going to be seeing both the challenger and the Women's Champion wrestle right here on American Wrestling. Both will be wrestling newcomers to USPW as Cherry Bomb takes on Kristabel Plum and Joanne Rodriguez faces Roz Larren. Will either or both have momentum heading toward their monumental rematch?

The open challenge issued by the Towers of Power has been answered by a team that has been wrestling over in the Orient. The team of Nathan Coleman and Stuart Ferdinand have arrived here in USPW and they plan on making an impact by defeating the USPW World Tag Team Champions in non title action.

Speaking of non title action, our main event will see the USPW World Champion James Justice in a non title affair with the man who claims that USPW will see a Southern Uprising: 'Southern Justice' Jack Griffith! Which form of justice will come out on top in this one?

Plus more action!

T-Rex vs. Des Davids

Man I should have picked Lex...he is actually one of my favorite USPW wrestlers and I always try to push him!

T-Rex vs. Des Davids

Tough one here because either one could win.

Cherry Bomb vs. Kristabel Plum

Cherry Bomb is a main part of the Women's division. Kristabel is not.

Jeff Daniel Morgan vs. Freddie Datsun

Freddie should win his first match back even if poor old JD has yet to make an impact in USPW.

Non Title: Joanne Rodriguez vs. Roz Larren

Lesson learned about Joanne Rodriguez, I will be picking her to win until Alicia Strong decides to come back as a wrestler.

Non Title: The Towers of Power vs. Coleman and Ferdinand

Coleman and Ferdinand are already a tag team in Japan, so I can see them winning a non title match to set up a feud.

Black Hat Bailey vs. Bruce The Giant

Non Title: James Justice vs. Jack Griffith

I can not wait to see what James calls Jack Griffith.

I have a sign idea but it might not be all that good here goes: Hey Anger, Why not Pepsi?

I know you said that the WCW diary was on a break until you got this up and running. I was just wondering if it was coming back soon.

T-Rex vs. Des Davids

Tough pick as Anger could provide a good distraction. Des is on a roll though.

Cherry Bomb vs. Kristabel Plum

She shouldn't lose after a great promo like that.

Jeff Daniel Morgan vs. Freddie Datsun

Freddie just made a return so having him win would make sense.

Non Title: Joanne Rodriguez vs. Roz Larren

Usually in non-titles, the challenger wins but I don't see Cherry injecting herself into the match until it is done.

Non Title: The Towers of Power vs. Coleman and Ferdinand

Legendary Gaijin team could beat ToP, especially since it is non-title.

Black Hat Bailey vs. Bruce The Giant

Ooooh. Poor BHB.

Non Title: James Justice vs. Jack Griffith

Griffith ain't got it like he used to.

This week's fan sign: Hide your Coke bottles!!! Anger's coming!!!

[back within my office in the Huntsville Fairgrounds, I was looking over some paperwork when there came a knock at the door. I slowly looked up, telling whoever it was to come in...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/USPW/CripplerRayKingman.jpg

[i was a little surprised when my Head Road Agent, Ray Kingman, stepped in, closing the door behind him. He headed over and sat down on the chair in front of me.]

The Masked Assassin: "Ray? What can I do for you?"

Crippler Ray Kingman: "Good evening, Assassin. I was wondering how my boy was doing?"

[barry Kingman, Ray's son, had recently been signed on a pay-per-appearance deal. He had done a couple of dark matches and even won them both but those match grades had been E- and E. I turned sympathetic eyes toward Ray]

The Masked Assassin: "I think he's got some potential though right now the fans aren't really taking to him."

Crippler Ray Kingman: "I know he's not as polished as I am right now but he is still learning and I know that one day he's going to surpass even me."

[i had some severe doubts about that but I didn't want to dissapoint my head road agent so I nodded.]

The Masked Assassin: "He's got plenty of time to improve, Ray. I don't intend on cutting him right now."

[Ray got up and reached out to shake my hand and I returned the shake.]

Crippler Ray Kingman: "Thanks, Assassin. I appreciate you giving him some time."

[i nodded and Ray headed out of the office as I slumped down in my chair. Sometimes you do have to watch people's feelings in this business if you want to keep the better half.]
