Eisen-verse
I'm sure this topic has been up before but I can't seem to find it anywhere? Just thought I'd see what people thought... Which game are you more inclined to play regularly? And why? For me, I like the NCAA game more so just for the simple fact that you can change teams from time to time. ha. I love Madden, don't get me wrong, but it's hard to really decide on playing as one team knowing that you can NEVER change from that team. I was totally a franchise player who played as one team for 4-5 years and then jumped to the next one depending on what was out there to develop. chris caulfield
Well seeing as EA decided not to sell NCAA outside of North America I could only buy madden and am very happy with my purchase up to this point. Would love to get a chance to play the NCAA game though to see what it is like.
Mr T Jobs To Me
NCAA gets about 90% of my football play. Madden's the change-of-pace back for me.
GatorBait19
What i like about NCAA more than madden is there is more to do during the season (i.e recruiting) to where madden you just play through the year and then some signing and drafting and it's back to the same thing

I love Madden but it may be nice to start a change of pace game. Plus, NCAA games are more fun when it comes to developing a program. Sadly, they took out a minor detail this year that makes it not as fun... The fact that your coach isn't really seen anywhere in the Dynasty. can't see his record and if you are doing well with the faithfuls or if you're on the verge of getting fired. Crychon
I played NCAA again yesterday, and it reminded me of something I thought was funny about the game... Has anyone else had where they were going against the computer, and for some reason, one of the defenders on the other side was suddenly ridiculously little? It's probably a strategy from the other team, because I always seem to have to run at the little guy, and I'm not sure which way to juke, so I usually just let him tackle me... I've had it happen a few times, and it happened a lot yesterday. Oh, and back on topic, I really like playing both of these games, it's hard to say which one I enjoy more. GruntMark
Guess Im going to have to go against the grain alittle bit... Most years, where I play both, I tend to think NCAA is the better game. However, this is a really strong Madden. When you play them side by side Madden, to me, just looks more smooth and polished. Alot of the animations in NCAA look alot more twitchy. Game play wise I wouldnt say there is a huge difference. Like someone said, I do enjoy recruiting. And while its nice that scouting is needed, its just not as deep. One thing that does annoy me more about NCAA is EAs constant attempt to sale me more stuff. Seems like every menu offers an upgrade for money. Course...Madden got stuck with all the Snickers puns. Damn you greedy EA.
darthsiddus2
and Tom Hammond sucks as a game announcer........ he's way to robotic and as someone else said... he's the madden version of michael cole -_-
Eisen-verse
What's your favorite 1 to 2 star team to play with in NCAA Football? I want to start a realistic coaching career that has me starting at a smaller school and working my way up to a bigger program. With that being said, what 1 to 2 star team do you most like to play as? Whether it's because of the talent they have, the location, the stadium, jersey's, etc. With Madden I mostly play as a team that I want to play as with some of my fav. players on that team. In NCAA, to me, it's more about a long-term situation of creating a program or working my way up to a bigger program.
Eisen-verse
I tried playing my NCAA game today after playing Madden exclusively for awhile (getting hyped cause College Football season is upon us now)... The thing I've found is that the game is WAAAAAAAY too fast. My eyes dart around trying to keep up and it seems that every can run a 40 at a 4.3. Is there anyone else out there that thinks this is true? Is there a way to slow down the speed of the game?

I welcomed the change, but it didn't turn out very well. It'd hard to adjust to after years of the standard. NCAA is just as fast as every other NCAA game and every other Madden game. I'm seemingly more addicted to NCAA than I am Madden. However I will say I enjoy Madden a lot more now. It seems a bit "tighter" in the gameplay department AND the graphics are amazing. I just love how now you can find a difference in the players other than the names. Now Tomlinson runs like Tomlinson instead of every backup RB in the league basically getting the same thing he can get. I just love NCAA's recruiting though, that's the meat and potatoes of the football game.
slack
I love NCAA, but I think Madden gameplay is a little more realistic. Madden looks great and the details are awesome, Its the Metal Gear of the Madden Franchise. But what KILLS me is how much better the NCAA On-Line Dynasty is lightyears ahead of Madden. Madden is extremely disappointing in that aspect. My biggest gripe though is that I the NHL series is defintaly the best EA Sports franchise around. I love hockey, and most of my friends dont, and it kills me that EA can make their hockey game so incredibly good, and they make Madden leaving you wanting more. And yea, Tom Hammond sucks. But when Lee Corso talks about my QB getting sacked after running the ball for a 20 yard game, I just throw my hands in the air.
grits207
I have both and they are both great games. I wouldn't say either one is better than the other, each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Madden has the edge in graphics and overall has the more realistic gameplay. NCAA 10 on the other hand has all the fun stuff that Madden can't have like recruiting. This is the first year that I bought both games and I am glad I did. It is very fun to recruit somebody, turn him into a star player in college then see how he does in the NFL. My biggest gripe though is that I the NHL series is defintaly the best EA Sports franchise around. I love hockey, and most of my friends dont, and it kills me that EA can make their hockey game so incredibly good, and they make Madden leaving you wanting more. I agree that the NHL franchise is amazing. Judging by the NHL 10 demo this year's game will be the best yet with the improved fighting engine ect. It's not actually that much slower, but you can really feel it. I'd much rather get sacked/throw a lame duck because of the throwing motion being longer and more realistic than because of a suction tackle.
