A New Power is Rising (Current Day Real Life Data) (September Edition Available)

Recommended Posts

Originally i didn't plan on releasing a September version of this, but i've been working my ass off on the data the last few days. There's still a lot of work to be done, A lot of promotions i've newly added are still just rough drafts but playable i'd say. Anyways by releasing this people can help me by point out what needs fixed etc.... Well have fun and please leave feedback.

A few things I noticed so far...

Worker Loyalty and Young Lions are off for Japan. Also, people being limited to their worker areas is also set off.

Brother Devon's stats also seem low. Wrestling skills should be higher at least

Fixed, Also speaking of Japan they are going to be my focus for the next update, Expect at least 5 New Japanese promotions and many new Japanese workers, Really an overhaul of Japan in general.

Also, have you thought about doing live updates every few days like RaveX used to do back in the olden days. That way, every time you fix little things here and there you can post a new version but if you're doing a major overhaul like you're about to do with japan then you can wait till that's totally finished before posting something like that. Just a thought, don't know if you'd want to do it that way. You can always just update the first post with a version number and date.

By the way, I know you fixed the fact that sets workers to only be active in their specified areas, but have you updated everyone's active areas to be accurate. I haven't checked this out in the data so I'm just wondering if you've focused on that yet.

Pictures Not Linked Properly or Missing: Alex Shelley, Angelina Love, Brother Ray, Christy Hemme, D'Angelo Dinero, Jethro Holliday, Mick Foley, Sally Boy, Samoa Joe, Sharmell, So Cal Val, Sting, Taylor Wilde, Taz, Traci

These are for TNA, so their main profile pic may be working but their TNA contract pics are not.

I have copied the picture folder exactly from your link to my people folder and I got a slew of guys that have pics such as James Mitchell, Billy Kidman without pictures. Honestly there are so many people without pictures in this database and some without bios that its tough to want to start a game with it even with it being as good as I hear.

The X division title should not have a weight limit set and I would argue that the knockout title should be midcard and legends should be main event and set to veterans. Keep up the great work! Great data overall.

I would disagree on that. Despite being held by main event wrestlers, it is not treated equal to the world title. Therefore its a midcard title. Same as the WWE Intercontinental or Unified tag belts.

TNA Impact:

* Kip James b. Serpent (real name Kevin Thorn) with the Fameasser. This may be a dark match, it may be part of the second half of next week's episode. The pyro did not go off prior to the match.

so Kevin Thorn needs to be added to TNA

It's also not equal to the tag team or x division titles which are midcard. Plus, how many midcarders in TNA are legends unless you guys think TNA will just turn it into another title whose name means nothing.

The name doesn't mean anything. Its all about how its used.

Given who currently hold the tag belts and X-division belt, I would say they are exactly on the level of the Legends belt. You could certainly consider the X-Division belt a low level belt, considering how its been treated the past couple of years.

The Legends belt was introduced just short of a year ago. Yes, its been held by main event talent the entire time. But its never been treated as a main event title. How many pay per views have been headlined by the Legends title? How many times has it been the subject of a main feud rather than a secondary one that happens to feature main eventers? Since its clearly not as important to TNA as the world title, I don't see how you can consider it on the same level.

The WWE has used main event talent to hold midcard belts plenty of times - see both the Intercontinental and tag belts right now - but its doesn't really change how the belts are used or their importance to the promotion.

It doesn't sound like Thorn is currently under contract to TNA. Apparently the match was a try out match and nothing has been decided beyond that.

Jenna Morasca is finished with TNA

According to TNAWrestlingNews.com, former Survivor star Jenna Morasca is done with TNA wrestling. Her contract recently came up for renewal, and sources say that both sides came to an agreement not to renew the deal.

Morasca debuted last March and was brought into the Main Event Mafia as their financial backer. She will be remembered for her match at Victory Road with Sharmell, which was considered by most as the worst match in the company's 7-year history.

-Wow, what a HUGE shocker

also some tidbits.

As noted earlier, former TNA Knockout Roxxi (Nicole Raczynski) worked an iMPACT! taping earlier this week to participate in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament. It was apparently a one-night return as Roxxi told people nobody said anything to her about returning as a regular nor was she offered a contract with the organization. She had just started working with the AAA promotion in Mexico and contacted them to say even though she worked for TNA, she's still ready to work for them. Roxxi was let go by TNA this past April after she and Rhaka Khan had a problem in a match that carried over backstage resulting in both being suspended. When Roxxi was let go, it was believed to be as result of Khan's relationship with Kurt Angle at the time.

While im still going to be working on this, besides the Japanese i promised i won't be adding a lot to this data for a bit. Ive started working on back converting this data to January of 2006 as i want to redo the CZW vs. ROH feud. But i'll still keep all current fed as up to date as i can and fix any errors pointed out. This just simply won't be getting any new feds added or major changes. At the moment i'm layed off work so i think i can mange that much.

Just one problem, some title histories (mainly the WWE IC and WWE World Tag Titles) have half-done histories. Id have no problem with it, but it sorta shows when guys like Bret, Snuka, etc. dont have their tag or IC title reigns to add on to their other ones. Just asking, was it done on purpose or was it a mistake? Id like to be sure before i spend all day doing their title lineages (that and putting the 2 US and CW title histories together >_>)
