Don Hughes
Probably a stupid question... but for some reason I have never done it yet. How would you book a one night tournament for a title (like the Ed Henson Memorial)? Would you just have that title on the line in the last match? Also, can you still book other angles and matches in the event? Don
Nedew
Yes on both counts.
D-Lyrium
This has been covered a lot... The only requirement, as far as the game mechanics are concerned, for a tournament title is that it's on the line in at least one match during the month it's set to be defended in. So, while the most traditional way is to hold the tournament on one night, with the final being for the title, there's nothing stopping you holding the previous rounds on other shows and just having the final title match at a PPV, or even having the whole thing on TV. You don't even need to have a tournament, you can just put the belt on the line in a regular match if you want to, the computer won't complain. That would sort of defeat the point though. So yeah, you can do whatever you want as long as the title is on the line at least once. In every other respect, it's a normal show, so book whatever else you want. D-Lyrium
That's the problem with battle royals in smaller feds... as CGC, my Golden Gauntlet 10 man battle royal absorbed so many of the roster into that one match that Philippe LaGrenier vs. Grimm Quibble ended up being on the PPV, and lasting ten whole minutes, just to fill time. UkWrestleFan
I normally just use my workers twice on the card for battle royals. So, they have their regular PPV match then it's a free for all battle royal to close the show.
D-Lyrium
I would if it wasn't a diary game, I must admit. But that wouldn't work in my head. As a fan, I'd much rather see a dire match or two (and trust me, LaGrenier vs. Quibble was dire!) that makes some kind of sense, rather than five singles matches followed by the same ten guys again but this time all at once. Quibble is, in fact, so absolutely useless that when I wanted a jobber for Dan DaLay to squash in one episode of the TV show, I flew a guy in from Europe rather than use Quibble. The travel expenses alone cost as much as Quibble, but hell... D+ selling? He can't even job properly!
