Eisen-verse
I know... It's easy to see that I'm playing a lot of Madden these days. ha. I would post this question in the Madden thread already created, however, this question is more pointed than just a random Madden Question. I'm afraid that if I post it there then people may just think that it's another random comment by a Madden player and not a question that others may be able to answers. My Question is (to those who play Madden)... What is your Custom Levels for Madden Difficulty? It's easy to see that the running game is broken so lowering the difficulty on that would probably be ideal (as I'm getting tired of having runners that can't even land 40 yards per game). I throw a lot of INT's, however, I can move the ball pretty well on Offense. More or less.... I'm looking for a custom difficultly level that feels, and plays, pretty much as realistic as possible. Where you actually have to fight for a win but can still run the ball/move the ball. Games that end in the 20's more or less. Thank you!

Stennick
I've been looking for this as well. I hate the fact that if I'm fighting for a win usually its because we're in the 40's against one another.

I hate the fact that if I'm fighting for a win usually its because we're in the 40's against one another. With my MYSKILL level I've been fighting for wins as of late and it turns out pretty well, however, I'm getting tired of not being able to run the ball. Last game I had Mathew Stafford throw 50 attempts as my running game was unable to do anything. Luckily, I won the game in overtime against the Packers because Stafford ran for a 10 yard touchdown run up the middle. Even got jacknifed in the process as he jumped. ha. mjdgoldeneye
I haven't actually looked yet, but what do you do as far as difficulty goes when using sliders? Is there a place to select to use custom sliders? Do you still choose a difficulty level (All-Pro, All-Madden, etc.)?
Stennick
I used these sliders and just beat Seattle as St. Louis 49-6 but again I got five INT's that game and most of them were in the redzone after I recovered so IDK.

Hm. That's what I'm afraid of. It seems like there were a lot of posts after the initial post about problems that came up. Most of my MYSKILL games stay relatively close gameplay wise, however, the running game is really what drives me crazy. So, Stennick, would you recommend these sliders? These sliders are meant to replicate realistic stats, mostly. You'd need to play pretty hard to win with them or to keep things close. There can be blow-outs either way, but the stats will likely end up being proportionally correct. (Correct number of plays run, etc.)

(Correct number of plays run, etc.) Do you play with these MJD? I'm always willing to give something a shot as, in my second year with the Lions, I'm 6-1 with my only loss coming to the Patriots. Other than that, I've been able to pick up wins (close one's I guess though) across the board. The gameplay doesn't scare me too much (outside of throwing INT's) so drafting doesn't seem as important because I know I can pick up people good enough to win on my MYSKILL level. really looking for a challenge... but... Not something that makes me pull my hair out because it's impossible to ever beat the CPU. Plus, with that being said, An hour is typically what I'm looking for for game length. 15 mins scares me a little as I've never played past 5 minute quarters. Does the games, on these sliders, end up being an hour and a half?
mjdgoldeneye
I haven't used those sliders yet. I'd say give them a shot and see how they go.
Eisen-verse
Has anyone ever played 15 MIN quarters with this 20 second acc clock? If so, I know I've already asked this but just checking to see, how long do your games typically take?
CQI13
I play 9 mins with 20 seconds (or 15 sometimes). They take around 45 minutes I think. I'm using Heelfan's sliders from Operation Sports. Once I get to the regular season, I'll keep track of the stats (with 2nd/3rd stringers, the stats can be skewed).
Stennick
Honestly the game I played seemed like a fluke. Hassleback threw 5 INT's. However that beings said he threw one, missed a long field goal, and I had a big run back in the first three series of the game. So I went up 21-0 and so they started throwing the ball a lot which I just dropped more DB's back and played catch with Hassle. Every time I got an INT I'd get it into my side of the field with ease so really if it weren't for me getting up by so much early on the game may have played out differently. The first drive they drove the ball eighty yards but had to settle for a FG. Hassle still got 320 yds passing. I'm going to play with them again. Eisen-verse
So, I'm confused. I see where you can adjust the CPU's levels based on what the sliders are set at. However, the only player level I see is much more simplistic (simply says passing, running, etc. versus the fields that the sliders effect). Is there a place to edit the player levels as well to fit these sliders?

ACCBiggz
Well... maybe it wasn't A.... but I wondered the same thing and ended up pressing a button and menu opened with all the options in the player skill area. Might have been start?
Eisen-verse
I just started a new dynasty with the sliders given above. I have to say, It was a fun game overall. The only problem is that I feel like the opposing QB (given that it was an upper 80's QB) was a little rough. Overall, though, I thought I would post the stats to show. Total Offense: Oakland: 419 Yards San Diego: 203 Yards -------------- Passing: JaMarcus Russell: 20-28, 250 yards, 71% COMP, 1 TD, 0 INT(110.7% Passer Rating) Phillip Rivers: 8-19, 94 yards, 42% COMP, 0 TD, 2 INTS Billy Volek: 7-10 yards, 49 yards, 70% COMP, 0 TD, 1 INT Rushing: Darren McFadden: 13 ATTS, 39 yards, 3.0 AVG, 1 TD Michael Bush: 11 ATTS, 50 yards, 4.5 AVG JaMarcus Russell: 8 ATTS, 66 yards, 8.2 AVG LaDanian Tomlinson: 12 ATTS, 55 yards, 4.5 AVG, 1 FUMBLE FINAL SCORE: OAK - 24, SD - 3. As you can see, Rivers had a really really tough game. It seemed a little too easy for my defense to shut them down despite the Chargers being a great Offense. I know since they were unable to score points, That's probably why I was able to score with so much ease (21-3 at half). Do you think I would need to tweak the passer levels for the CPU? Possibly drop my O-Line pass blocking levels or something to disrupt Russell from having a "GOD-Like" day?
