Post Match Challenge

After his victory, the Tri-State Regional Champion takes the microphone right from the ring announcer's hand.

Lee Wright: A long time ago my daddy had a jackass. He loved that jackass and cared for that jackass. Then one day when he wasn't looking that jackass kicked him square in the nuts. And that is what you people have done to me countless times over my years in this business, kick me in the nuts! I have poured my blood, sweat, and tears for you people for thirty three years and what have you people done for me? Nothing! I've won countless titles around the world, but still I get no respect.

You know what my daddy did to that jackass? He slit that jackass's throat and told me that payback is a bitch. Well it seems that I got my hands on your company's Tri-State Regional title. And you know these old bones of mine are getting mighty tired. If would be a damn shame if I just decided to hang up these old boots while this belt was around my waist if you caught my drift. Derek, I am giving you eleven months to show me the respect I deserve or I'm taking this shiny silver belt back home with me.

Post Match Angle

With the match over Griffith celebrates his new contract with the fans while Sean Deeley sits shocked that Jack was able to pin him. The Stomper comes out from the back (no doubt to congratulate his newest employee, Jack Griffith).

The Stomper: Everyone, let's give a great big hand for NYCW's newest member, Jack Griffith.

The fans cheer for Jack's 2nd shot at stardom, while Deeley, still shocked from losing the match, starts to dejectedly walk back to the backstage area.

The Stomper: Now hold on their Sean. I didn't just come down here to congratulate Jack here. I have something to say to you as well. I know you didn't win tonight, but after the effort you gave here tonight I want to offer you a full time contract as well. What do you say Deeley, are you up to it?

Now back into the ring, Sean Deeley shakes his head in agreement. The young man looks like he is going to take a bit of time to celebrate with the fans, but Jack Griffith stops him. The crowd murmurs, wondering what Griffith is going to do. To their surprise and delight, Griffith raises the hand of Deeley and the two take a final certain call before going the back (most likely to sign all the needed paperwork).

Post Match Promo

After the match, the boisterous Phunk takes the mic with the obvious intention to verbal rub salt in Machine's wounds.

Grandmaster Phunk: Get that honkey out of my ring! Last month I told 'ya that I was gonna beat this sucka. Tonight, I showed him just how strong my pimp hand was. But, I didn't just pick up this mic just ta brag. No, I picked this mic up to once again declare my self the number one contender to the Empire title and demand that Steve Flash come out here and accept my challenge. I am sick and tired of getting screwed by the man. I am the greatest--

"Far, We've Been Traveling Far"

Whistler: I got to give it to you Phunk, you never give up do you? Even after a tough fought victory against one of wrestling's best you still have to run that big mouth of yours. Frankly, I'm tired of it.

Grandmaster Phunk: What are you going to do about it?

Whistler: Well this is America, so I'm going to follow one of this country's most important values and give you a second chance. Last month, I beat you, Rick Sander, and Honest Frank in a four way match for the right to face the Empire champion. I am willing to put up that title shot in a match with you, one on one, in two weeks. You win and you get to face the Empire champion. I win and you stop complaining.

Grandmaster Phunk: You're on, sucka. And I hope you like the hospital that American Machine is about to be sent to. Because in two weeks you are going to be laying right there next to him.

Post Match Angle

Steve Flash is taking the time to thank the crowd to come to NYCW's first show of the year when out from nowhere comes The Masked Grappler!? As weird as it seems, the rarely seen masked man goes to town on the Empire Champion with a flurry of strikes and not one but two modified Tornado Face Slams into the concrete floor. Standing over the now motionless Flash, The Masked Grappler removes his mask to reveal a man that the fans of New York City Wrestling thought they never seen in a NYCW ring. And that man is…STEVER PARKER!?

Looks like I've lost a couple of students for this chapter, but considering it's the start of a new chapter and the time of year I can see why. First off, I'm guessing some of you might be wondering how in the hell I got Steven Parker. At the start of each game I insanely put an offer out to guys like Parker, Devine, and Samoan Machine in the insane hope that a miracle would happen. Just so happens that there is a small chance that SWF doesn't send an offer to Steven and you can sign him to a PPA.

You guys also seemed to have way too man love for Brandon Smith. I liked the guy just about as much as anyone else here on the boards, but did you really think I was going break one of my owner goals on a undercard wrestler (BTW, I actually let it slip that Smith wasn't going to be signed to a ppa in the discussion about how to book Rush Hour)? It's kind of a shame too. I completely planned to sign him as the American Made Men's liberal minded member (to go with the conservative American Machine and moderate Whistler). Of course if that happened then *spoiler deleted* wouldn't be the 3rd man and that would be a damn shame.

Up Next (Monday, January 4th, 2010): Not only is TNA's 3rd Hour Live Event, Bret Hart appearance on RAW, and what should be an amazing football game between TCU & Boise State be happening on the 4th, but we return to our regularly schedule ummm schedule on Monday with NYCW Blue Streak.

With the huge surprise of the late January release of TEW 2010, I also have a big announcement. This is going to be the last chapter of the diary to showcase TEW 2008. From Ch. 3 on I will be jumping to the newer program.

Not to mention WrestleKingdom on the 4th as well (yay puroresu). It's like the 4th is worldwide wrestle day or something.

...

Can I get extra credit for mentioning WrestleKingdom?

- Sonfaro

Unless you are going to actually be at WrestleKingdom, no.

Sorry for missing some time sir. I've got this sick note from my mother...

It's all good since you only missed one event and this chapter is twice as long. :D

I have no idea how I missed the last assessment. I was here, I must have not gotten a scantron.

That's impossible since there is only one kind of scantron in the whole school, but since you bumped the thread it's all good. ;)

Shouldn't you actually make a prediction before asking for extra credit?

Are you blind or something? Cant you see im busy making a cunning trap that will ensnare several of your students and put them under intense agony? Thats somewhat more important than some silly Bookerman 108.

Steven Parker: Over the past couple of weeks everyone has been coming up to me and asking one question, "Why, Steven? Why have you assaulted Steve Flash?" I think the real question is why hasn't someone taken out that disgrace to wrestling a long time ago. Getting into this business everyone has always compared me to one man, Steve Flash. I get it, we share the same first name and country of birth. Congratulations you have ears. Me and Flash are nothing alike. Steve Flash is a washed up has-been, no, scratch that. Backstage Interview

Marv Earnest: Dave Diamond, after coming up short two weeks ago for the Tri-State Regional title you now have another opportunity this month at becoming a champion as you take on Old School Principals with newcomer Kashmir Singh. What are your thoughts?

Dazzling Dave Diamond: Well Marv, it's going to be a big challenge for me tonight. I've barely have had a chance to talk to my partner for tonight and Rick Sanders and The Masked Maulers are champions for a reason, but I'm going to make the best of the situation. You don't get a lot of title shots in the world of wrestling. Who knows, there is always a chance that Singh and myself will just click. I'm been told Mr. Singh is a bit of a partier and ya'll know that I've gone to my fair share of hoedowns.

In-Ring Promo

Honest Frank: I know I didn't schedule this time, but I honestly I don't care. I just found out that next month's semi-main event match will be Sean Deeley and Steven Parker? Are you kidding me? These two punks have been in this promotion for less than a month and already they are main eventing? If that's not bad enough, I'm not even on the card. Now I could see why Parker was given this opportunity. The man is a champion and has the backing from a legend of this business, Rip Chord. But, Sean Deeley? The loser who had to travel to Canada to find work because America was too good for him? Him? That guy couldn't even beat up some washed up alcoholic for a spot in this company and now he's getting work while I'm out in the cold. I'm a former Empire champion damnit! I deserve better. Sean Deeley, take this as a warning. If you ever get in my way, I'm honestly going to end you.

As you could tell from the percentages, this event wasn't the most exciting event that I've ever booked. And that's ok. As the 2nd show it did exactly what I wanted it to, help move and or create storylines that will be running for the next 11 shows (till NYCW's biggest show of the year, Gang Wars).

You might also notice two new additions for this chapter, asterisks next to some of the promo ratings and feud notes. The asterisks mark that the angle went 6 minutes or longer (making it a "major" angle that affects the overall grade of the card). I believe I forgot to mention this before, but because of NYCW's match ratio, you are forced to run a couple of feuds (chained or unchained) to keep the fans happy. And while I stupidly didn't take full notes on the feuds, I can say that all my feuds in this chapter are unchained. I also fully remember starting out by separating my feuds by division. I believe the main event (Empire) scene were Flash, Phunk, Bailey, and Whistler, the upper midcard scene being Parker, Griffith, Frank, and Deeley, and my Tag Team scene being The Sting, OSP, and Wiley Coyote. I also added two minor players to each division however this is where my memory fails me at this point. A word to future diary writers out there: Write down as much information as humanly possible. You never know when you are going to need it.

Before going into the monthly review, I thought it would be a good time to take a quick look at the newest members of the NYCW.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a288/foolinc/TEW108/75x75pics/JackGriffith.jpg

Name: Jack Griffith

Age: 32

Weight Class: Middleweight

Wrestling Style: Regular Wrestler

Wage: $1,500

Popularity (USA/TS): D/D

Finishing Move: Jack In The Box (Vertical Lift Spinebuster)

Alignment: Face

Gimmick: Man On A Mission (B)

Theme Music:

Bio: "Southern Justice" Jack Griffith was, at one time, one of the hottest prospects in wrestling. Debuting for Shane Sneer's Southern Championship Class Wrestling in 2000, he fast became one of their brightest stars, winning their main singles title on two occasions and showcasing great natural ability. However, backstage problems and a growing dependency on alcohol sent him into a downward spiral, and for a few years he pretty much entirely disappeared from wrestling as he fought his demons instead of opponents. He made a much heralded return in 2007, working a handful of shows for DAVE just before its closure, but sadly all it proved was that time and alcohol have not been kind, and Griffith was clearly a shell of the exciting athlete he was in 2001.

My Thoughts: There are few people in the C-Verse that are better suited for a run in NYCW than Mr. Girffith. While not being the man he once was, Jack is still a solid overall worker (with a specialization in brawling) and can speak a little bit as well. Griffith is also pretty over with the United States audience and fits amazingly well with the uppercard workers of the promotion. As an added bonus, Griffith's past is something that makes an easy talking point for promos and a solid starting point for a feud.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a288/foolinc/TEW108/75x75pics/DuberryExcess.jpg

Name: Jorge Wilkes

Age: 22

Weight Class: Lightweight

Wrestling Style: Technician

Wage: $300

Popularity (USA/TS): F/F

Finishing Move: Excess Force (Fujiwara Armbar)

Alignment: Face

Gimmick: Dude (B)

Theme Music:

Bio: Duberry Excess is a young technician from Boston, noted for his slick chain wrestling. Making his pro debut at the age of 18 in 2004, he began by wrestling his rookie year on the East Coast under the name of Jorge Wilkes. Treating it primarily as an exercise in gaining experience, he would head North toward the end of 2005, where has has since become a reliable performer for 4C in Canada. In particular, his "Phenomenal Excess" tag team with Phenomenal E is becoming very highly rated. Toward the end of 2007 he made his lucha libre debut, working for SOTBPW under a mask as his self-created character "Demon Seed".

My Thoughts: Jorge Wilkes aka Duberry Excess is a solid young technician from the great city of Boston. Besides' his style and skill set being great for NYCW, he also has a full work schedule that will no doubt improve those skills even more. There is a chance that he'll get injured, but at this stage of he's career it's less likely to happen and would only be a minor inconvenience to NYCW's storylines.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a288/foolinc/TEW108/75x75pics/JulianWatson.jpg

Name: Julian Watson

Age: 26

Weight Class: Middleweight

Wrestling Style: Regular Wrestler

Wage: $600 (Travelling)

Popularity (USA/TS): F-/F-

Finishing Move: Tiger Claw DDT (Hammerlock DDT)

Alignment: Face

Gimmick: Blue Chipper (B-)

Theme Music: "Ichirin no Hana" by High and Mighty Color

Bio: "The Maverick" Julian Watson is a Canadian worker who has kept a low profile in North America, busily concentrating on building his reputation in Japan instead. Debuting for Golden Canvas Grappling in 2004 while still in his early twenties, Watson has gradually been working his way up the rankings ever since, while simultaneously improving his skills. Originally a one dimensional brawler, his years in the East have seen him develop into a good all-round performer, not to be underestimated.

My Thoughts: Like Wilkes, Watson is a big time wrestling prospect and is a perfect fit for NYCW. He's poor on the mic, but is extremely good at performance skills, enough so that he can teach his skills to some of the veterans on the roster as well as some of the other prospects. Also, Watson will have a full plate as he also works for GCG in Japan.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a288/foolinc/TEW108/75x75pics/KashmirSingh_alt2.jpghttp://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a288/foolinc/TEW108/75x75pics/KashmirSingh.jpg

Name: "Mr. Electricity" Kashmir Singh

Age: 31

Weight Class: Lightweight

Wrestling Style: Entertainer

Wage: $500

Popularity (USA/TS): F+/F+

Finishing Move: Bombay Duck (Indian Death Lock), Cal-Cutter (Diamond Cutter)

Alignment: Face

Gimmick: Fun Babyface (C+)

Theme Music: "Da Funk" by Daft Punk

Bio: One of the few Indian-born pro wrestlers, Kashmir Singh is a pretty good all-rounder, whose densely muscled physique gives him incredible power for someone of his size. He spent his early career entirely in Puerto Rico, eventually ending up in Puerto Rican Power's FCW promotion. There he debuted a look of bleached blonde hair and sequined robes, dubbing himself The Sensational Singh. His new gimmick, Mr. Electricity, takes that flamboyant look even further - he wears the most spectacular neon costumes available, and becomes "the ultimate showman".

My Thoughts: Everyone's favorite unknown worker, Kashmir Singh is one of the best workers that you can get on the cheap, no matter the product. He's an solid all a round worker and can wrestle as a brawler, technician, or high flyer as well as cut a decent promo. If you were reading my NEO diary, you would have remembered that I used heavily used Singh in his Sensational Singh gimmick. This time around, he'll be the party loving Mr. Electricity. Beat the Beat!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a288/foolinc/TEW108/75x75pics/ShooterSeanDeeley.jpg

Name: Sean Deeley

Age: 22

Weight Class: Middleweight

Wrestling Style: Regular Wrestler

Wage: $900 (Travelling Expenses)

Popularity (USA/TS): E+/E+

Finishing Move: Front Choke Lock, German Suplex, Seated Stretch Arm Bar

Alignment: Face

Gimmick: Legitimate Athlete (B)

Theme Music:

Bio: "Shooter" Sean Deeley is a youngster who had massive success in amateur wrestling at college level (he was twice national champion), before turning professional in 2004. He was soon picked up by CGC in Canada, and has steadily progressed from the opening matches to become one of the company's most consistent midcard performers. In 2007 he replaced the departed John Maverick as the resident submission master in the promotion's primary heel stable, Elite, giving a whole new boost to his career. There are many insiders who believe that Deeley could go on to become a big star, and use his amateur skills to help bring realistic wrestling back to the mainstream.

My Thoughts: At the start of 2008 NYCW lacks two things, youth and insanely skilled wrestlers. Sean Deeley bring both. I'd say more, but the man's been a C-Verse favorite and I really don't think I need to explain him further.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a288/foolinc/TEW108/75x75pics/StevenParker.jpg

Name: Steven Parker

Age: 24

Weight Class: Middleweight

Wrestling Style: Regular Wrestler

Wage: $1,500/$700

Popularity (USA/TS): D/D

Finishing Move: Future Shock (Tornado Face Slam)

Alignment: Heel

Gimmick: Arrogant Heel (B)

Theme Music:

Bio: Steven "The Future" Parker is a young Canadian grappler who is just starting to make waves. Trained by Cliff "Dark Angel" Wilson, Parker spent the first few months of his career as a masked jobber in NOTBPW. In 2005 he became MAW's very first signing, where under Rip Chord's guidance he quickly blossomed into a fantastic prospect. In the summer of 2006 he won the MAW championship, cementing his place as one of the brightest young talents around. His title reign was a good one, as he showcased his versatility by getting good matches out of a variety of different challengers. By the summer of 2007 Rip Chord had assessed Parker as being ready to move on to bigger challenges, and he was soon on his way to the newly formed Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling to join Mitch Naess' revolution. Outside of wrestling, Steven is known to date Canadian valet Dawn "Persephone" Coombs.

My Thoughts: So who thought that Steven Parker could actually get signed to a promotion other than SWF? No one? That's what I thought. Well, it's rare, but it is possible to do so without cheating. Anyway Steven Parker is a stud, plain and simple. He's Kashmir Singh, only ten years younger, more skilled, way more over, and has "the look." Then again what would you expect from the student of "Dark Angel" Cliff Wilson and Rip Chord?

Jorge Wilkes: SOTBPW (The Cannonball Kid defeated Demon Seed - E+; Magik defeated Demon Seed - D-; Hysteria, The Cannonball Kid and Leon Joven defeated Demon Seed, Cicero, and Gonzalo Rubio - D-), 4C (Phenomenal Excess defeated Too Sweet [titles retained] - D)

Sean Deeley: CGC (Steve DeColt defeated Shooter Sean Deeley - B-)

Steven Parker: PSW (Johnny Martin defeated Steven Parker [retains PSW Championship] - C)

For the low cost of $5,694 (2.28% of your starting cash) we were able to grow NYCW by .8% even after being beaten by PSW this month in the regional battle. Not bad considering I didn't once consider the financial ramifications once during this chapter. Ah, the awesomeness of actually having money. And the big winner of the month was Jorge Wilkes who jumped a DWN amount after wrestling on four other shows in the month. Julian Watson also wrestled a ton this month (seven times), however didn't improve that month. Hopefully this isn't a trend for Mr. Watson.

Finally, I took the bad chemistry note between Dazzling Dave Diamond and Fern Hathaway as an opportunity to get rid of the prima donna that is Fern Hathaway. Go me.

Note: The Professor is taking a sick day. See you Monday! :D

"Then again what would you expect from the student of "Dark Angel" Cliff Angel and Rip Chord?"

Alcoholism.

That's cruel and likely.

To me the real note of the month is Land Mass improving his Aerial abilities.

Sometimes you just can't write that sort of humour.

I could say something about those ratings being a combination of being able to work with a style, as well as wrestle it, but I'll just laugh instead.

Hey teach, I showed up to class, but you were fifteen minutes late, so I bolted.

And it's "Dark Angel" Cliff Wilson.

Yeah, so here's what happened. This past weekend as jammed packed with fun activities that included going to a sweet Irish style pub, drinking at a friends house, and going snowboarding. It was my first time going snowboarding and I underestimated exactly how sore I was going to be in terms of my upperbody. I didn't want to raise my arms at all, much less bend my arms 90 degrees and type up four full promos as well as the presentation stuff. :o

Still pretty sore today (not to mention have real world stuff to check up on from my weekend of awesomeness), so it should be up by tomorrow. Truth be told, now that I know that this is going to be the last chapter under TEW 2008 my drive to keep to a 3 update a week schedule has waned a bit. Still plan on getting everything done, but when I didn't know the release date I had put pressure on myself to do as many chapters as possible before the release.

Don't know what you are talking about with that spelling error though. ;)

820 people at The Ministry

Queens, New York, USA

Pre-Show

Land Mass (58.8%) defeated Julian Watson (41.2%) in 6:30 by pinfall with a Ten Ton Avalanche. - E

Quote: "I think you'll want to keep the Mass looking strong for someone on the up to take our: ala American Machine or Steven Parker." ~ Sonfaro

Notes: Land Mass was really off his game tonight. The announcing quality lifted the match. The color commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down.

The Sting finds Dazzling Dave Diamond and proceeds to make fun of him for losing two straight title shots before making fun of Triple D's new friend Mr. Electricity for being a bit fruity. Triple D says that he's not friends with Mr. Electricity, but doesn't like the idea of anyone making fun of someone else behind their back. - D-

Notes: This segment brought the crowd's mood down. Sammy The Shark is learning to show more charisma. Sammy The Shark is developing better performance skills. Dazzling Dave Diamond is developing better performance skills.

Backstage Angle

The American Made Men (and Cheerleader Nicki) are in the locker room getting ready for their upcoming tag team match. Well Whistler and Nicki are getting ready, American Machine is slumped against a locker looking like his dog just died.

Whistler: A.M., you've got to snap out of it man. I know it's hard to lose an important match, especially to someone you hate, but enough is enough. Just because you lost the battle doesn't mean you lost the war. Even the greatest President in our great nation, George Washington, was forced to withdraw countless times during the Revolution.

Cheerleader Nicki: Yeah babe. And it's like really not your fault you lost. I was the one who threw in the towel. So cheer up. Please?

Nicki puts on a puppy dog face that only a blind man wouldn't be moved by. Now sporting a smirk, American Machine sits up and lifts his head high.

American Machine: You guys are right. Now lets go beat those punks.

Rating: D*

Notes: Cheerleader Nicki was very underwhelming. The NYCW World Title Scene storyline has continued with this segment. American Machine is improving at acting. Cheerleader Nicki is developing better performance skills.

Backstage Interview

Marv Earnest: Sean Deeley, two weeks ago Honest Frank had some strong words about you. What are your thoughts?

Sean Deeley: Thoughts? I don't have any thoughts about Honest Frank. All I care about is the match in front of me. And standing in front of me is Steven Parker. Now if you excuse me, I need to prepare some more for my match.

Rick Sanders: For four months Mauler and me have held these titles. For four months we have proven that we are the greatest tag team in New York. And for four months I have yet to receive an Empire title shot. Steve Flash come out here and accept my challenge-

Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that what I desire!

Wiley Steinway: Did my road weary ears hear you right? Did you call yourselves the best tag team in New York? You yellow belly cowards have been ducking us from day one and you have the balls to say you are better than us?

Rick Sanders: Cowards? You did NOT just call me a coward. You want a match? Fine, but when you lose that's it, no rematch, no nothing.

Coyote Dynamite: One shot is all we need.

Backstage Interview

Marv Earnest: After your tainted win tonight against Sean Deeley its been announce that in two weeks you will be taking on Jack Griffith in the main event. What are your thought?

Steven Parker: My tainted win against Deeley? Were you watching the same match that I was? I dominated that match from start to finish. The only thing Frank did was save Deeley a potential injury at my hands. As for Griffith, he's a washed up drunk. I know washed up drunks. Griffith can't touch me.

Steve Flash defeated Grandmaster Phunk in 20:19 by pinfall, however Grandmaster Phunk's foot was under the ropes. Steve Flash makes defence number 2 of his NYCW Empire title.

Rating: C+

Notes: Grandmaster Phunk was visibly tiring toward the end. The NYCW World Title Scene storyline has continued with this match.

Overall Rating: C

Additional Comment: "The 2 matches a month style is imperative for the NYCW expansion policy. Also The Stomper should be given a bit of face time in a match or promo otherwise he'll start getting cranky. Flash can effectively be used as a one man momentum machine, continually hopping from face to heel every 6 months and battling his way through the other half of the roster. Id highly recommend Jack Marlowe/Jungle Jack as an upcoming signing, his already strong popularity will help fill the void left by the retirement of Wright/Whistler/Bailey. NYCW suffers of course from small promotion syndrome that exists in TEW where your low levels never rise up the auto-ranks due to their popularity only ever growing in the home state, so until you can bag that elusive tv contract, you need to keep the main event stocked with one or two names." ~ Kamchatka

Special Update: After remembering to link the update to the table of contents I also remembered to add something I wanted to do last week, reader comments. For Point Break I just added one quote per match, but I'm thinking of just adding each and everyone next time and seeing how it looks. Thoughts?

You know, I think I liked it better when you guys were having trouble picking winners back in the last chapter. Gave me a bit more of an opportunity to make fun of you guys. Once again you guys did a pretty good job predicting the cards with almost one forth of you having a perfect grade. Amazingly enough the toughest match for you was the dark match of Land Mass and Julian Watson. I realize that Land Mass isn't the best worker in the world, but I am a little worried that almost half of you would outright job Mass out to an unknown like Watson. It's just not my style. Now if I were going to job out someone like Mass, here's how I'd do it.

At the beginning of the game Mr. Mass starts out with a E overness in the Tri-States (as well as the rest of the US). Julian Watson on the other hand starts out with an F-. Now while beating Land Mass might improve Watson's popularity by a good amount, you are going to be wasting a good amount of overall overness in the process. Instead you would be better off having Land Mass first lose to someone with an E- in popularity (a favorite E- worker would be Kirk Jameson of FCW fame). After losing to the guy with an E-, Land Mass has probably switched grades with the man that pinned him and now has an E- himself. I would then have Mass lose a match to someone with an F+ like Dazzling Dave Diamond or Mr. Electricity. This would bring his overness down to an F+ (brining Triple D or Singh to an E-). It would be at this point were I would finally have Watson go over the tubby one. Watson still gets a solid boost from beating Mass and Mass puts over more than one person before heading out of the door.

Now back to the rest of the show. You know for a 90 minute show, I really packed a lot of stuff into this one. In the pre-show we have Rodger Dodger teach Triple D and Sammy how to talk...opps...I mean we have an undercard tag team make fun of an undercard singles worker. Yeah, that's the ticket. Up next on the non-filler is the fallout from American Machine's lost to Phunk as well as the creation of a new tag team in the form of the Poisonous Dolls. That's right, Joey Poison is a member of the NYCW roster once again! Ok, so as far as I know Poison's never actually been apart of the NYCW roster, but he was in the diary that sucked me into TEW in the first place () so I'm saying it counts.

Moving on, we also had Lee Wright defeat forum favorite, Sayeed Ali, to once again defend his newly won Tri-State Regional title and announced the first "big" tag team match with NYCW legends Wiley Coyote challenged the current tag team champs to a title match. The segment itself wasn't that good, but what are you going to do?

Finally to the upper card where I gave you kind of what you wanted as Parker beat Deeley with the help of Honest Frank and Steve Flash took down Grandmaster Phunk with the slight problem that referee Michael Bull accidently missing Phunk's foot under the ropes. Some wrestling purists are going to be down on the fact that neither of the marquee matchups were clean, but screw those guys. This is NYCW not MAW. My fans don't care about tainted victories, so if it makes sense I'm going to do it.

Up Next (Friday, January 22nd, 2010): On Friday we are going to see if NYCW can run a show without Steve Flash! That's right, Steve Flash isn't just out of the main event this time around, he's getting the night off completely. If that wasn't the only thing, I also have to hope that everyone wants to keep reading about TEW 2008 after 2010 comes out in an hour or two. See you Friday, hopefully. :o
